The she-wolf smiled up at the dead-cat-thing (she really did know his name, she swore!). "Guess you're made of sturdy stuff then. I'd probably have been dazed." She shrugged and looked back over at the ghoul as she returned. A small part of LW was disappointed that Basil hadn't been able to get to the thing-causing-new-disturbance. She had heard someone mention it being shiny. Shiny was always good.

"Yeah, it kinda does hurt a bit. And can throw off my balance." She had her tail in her lap for now, running her fingers through the fur. Those same fingers froze as she heard what Kilo said and violet eyes flickered over to Vaith. He'd gotten the thing? And, were those bells she heard?! Oh Candlejack! She loved bells. Great. Now she really wanted to go look at them.

And she could have sworn she'd heard something about 'girly parts'. What in the hell? It made her really glad she wasn't one for skirts or dresses of any sort. But where had that small voice drifted from?

Fidgeting in her seat, she realized she had 'forgotten' her manners. Sort of. Glancing at dead-ca...Kilo, LW made quick introductions between Basil and him. "Oh right! Basil, this is Kilometer. Kilo, this is Basil." Her eyes never left the reaper who had the bells as she attempted to catch a glimpse of them. She also hoped that dead-cat-thing (oh Jackdamnit!) didn't mind her introducing him to Basil.

Draven looked at Alerick. He was right. The other cars were probably in some kind of trouble, as well. Draven hated to think so...but it was likely. He nodded in agreement with Eracs; he hoped the others were okay, too. "Wouldn't surprise me if the other cars were being hassled by reindeer. Maybe there is a whole herd of them..." he didn't like that thought, but he always thought most deer like things traveled in groups. He hoped he was wrong.

Draven smiled at his new friends. "I am glad you guys came on this trip. Otherwise, we might not have met," he was really happy to have made new friends. Before today...well, he hadn't had much chance to talk with anyone at school. "Barring any other...surprises," he gestured to the mess the reindeer had left behind, "We'll make it through this trip intact. Then we can hang out at school, too."

"So," he said, glancing around the car, "do you think the excitement is over?"

Kilometer looked at this arm. Sturdy? If he was anyone else he might have thought that was amusing but he’s not therefore he lost the humor. The same thing happened prior with another remark LW said. “You might not have if you knew a reigndeer would have stepped on you.” He replied back.

“Hm?” LW took the honors with introducing him to Basil. He answered back with some more staring and a nod.

Basil moved some stray strands of hair to behind her ears, which didn't help much for her messy hair. "Well, glad your a-okay now." She was very focused on those pesky hairs, but she had to give up and continued relaxing. Basil glanced at the ghoul's tail, it doesn't even help balance? but throws her off? Tails must suck, I bet LW must be used to it.

She saw LW freeze and followed her gaze, ah, that kid got to the shiny trinket "Lucky" Muttering to herself probably wasn't the best habit to get into, but she couldn't help it, she had tried to get it anyway.

Basil saw someone staring at her direction in the corner or her eyes, but they probably weren't looking at me, I mean why would they? She decided to ignore it.

Then LW introduced her to that Boil she saw earlier and got a better look at him...did that cat get run over or something? She returned the nod, "Err-Hi." funny, she usually does the same little nod of acknowledgment. Basil felt awkward, if only she had said something after LW did, it would have been her cocky confident self.

He was staring? Why? he wouldn't have a reason to right?..Nah..well maaaybe, I mean she did just decide to come over, but she did it anonymously, so it wasn't odd to her, and LW sure didn't seem to mind.

Faint had been on his way back to his seat when he heard the conversation about tails. He leaned over slightly and raised a brow and the red she-wolf. "You poor thing. Your tail got stepped on?" His own tail flicked and hid behind his leg in terrified sympathy. He was pretty certain that no matter what your species, if you had a tail and it got stepped on, it hurt like a b***h.

It seemed like everyone was sustaining some sort of injury from the bone-y surprise. His hand still throbbed slightly when he thought about it. Was there not a normal train ride to be had in all of Halloweentown?

Ah well. Didn't look like she was going to see the bells that Vaith had. Sighing to herself, the she-wolf turned to the creatures around her. A giggle was directed at Kilo. "I dunno...I've had my moments of utter obliviousness." She poked at him. "Still think you are sturdier." LW giggled at him again and turned to look at Basil.

"Yep. I'll be alright. Just have to work on not gettin' my tail stepped on." Or stepping on it herself. "As much of a pain as having one is, I do love being able to swish my tail around." She eyed Kilo and his tail for a minute. He probably never had to worry about his getting stepped on. The sound of a new voice had her head turning to see the new speaker. It was a boil she had never met or seen.

"That it did. Guess that'll teach me to keep it closer and out o'the way when fightin'." LW smiled at the....OHMYGODWERETHOSEFUZZYEARS?! The strong urge to just reach over and...rub those stripped ears raced through the she-wolf. She didn't have ears like that!

"Vell enough." Johan replied, though he doubted the ghoul heard him. He watched her flee over to another ghoul with a bemused expression. Ghouls.

Well, no reading material, and his tentative conversation had derailed more thoroughly than this train ever could. Johan sighed, and stared out the window at the passing scenery. Where were they going, anyway? This wasn't the track he'd taken to come to Amityville, so there wasn't anything remotely familiar out there. Chin resting on hand (which still hurt), he pondered over the possibilities until movement on the opposite seat caught his eye. Oh. The hunchback had returned. And he was holding something in his hands that wasn't another hand. Wait.

"Vas that vhat the old man gave you?" he asked, curiosity prompting him. Now that he thought about it, the old man seemed to have been trying to warn them about something. Had he been trying to warn them about the reindeer? Or had it been something else? Something to do with that card, perhaps?

Quarria frowned at her own lack of social abilities, watching many a people with interesting limbs chattering around her. Apparently she'd missed something about a...huge deer? (It sounded delicious, not dangerous. Maybe her train-mates were just a bit odd, or she'd really had missed something.) Was she hearing these guys right? How'd she sleep through all that?! She'd have to ask someone to find out. Oh well, no time like the present, she supposed, looking about for someone that seemed open for conversation.

There was a boy sitting, his head resting on his hand, not far from where she was. Tilting her head a bit to get a better look at him, she noticed he had a pretty shade of teal-blue for eyes, similar to her own ocean-like ones. She decided that he looked kind of uncomfortable, and wondered if she looked the same. Not only that, but his arms were covered with something black that reached to his hands. She found them to be suddenly fascinating, and her obsession of limbs told her to go talk to him. As such, as was about to act upon her whim when he adressed someone, a someone who had stitched limbs and a hunched back.

She leaned back, trying to decide if she should start up a conversation with this unhappy boy and his new companion. Maybe he could tell her what was going on. Leaning over her seat's side, she adressed him with a wave and began to talk, "Excuse me, but could you tell me what's happened? I seemed to have missed something drastic while I was sleeping under that heater..." She flicked her plumed tail at the heater, which she was now scooting away from. (She didn't want it to put her to sleep again.)

A sole gnome walked into this cabin, looking rather sheepish, for anyone who might have spotted it. Though there were quite a few voices talking over him, he did try. "Hello students, we would like to present your meal today."

Another gnome dragging cart came up behind him.

"However, we uh, thought your meal was boring so we wanted to spice it up a bit. This backfired. Literally." He opened the large pan on top of the cart, showing everyone the burnt contents. "So yeah, unless you want to eat burnt remains, there will be no food served today, thank you."

Jamais watched as the gnome walked into the cabin looking sheepish. A hand ran through her hair pausing to scratch the back of her hair.

Her ear twitched curiously, "For the love of Jack." She muttered before going back to sit in her seat, dragging out a small knapsack she had with her. Looking at the gnome. "What were you trying to spice it with? Fire? Acid, maybe?" She asked ears flattening when she saw the burnt remains of supper.

She then proceeded to dig through her pack looking to see if there was anything in the bag that might have something to eat. Her tail twitched as she frowned. "If dead Gnomes and Reindeer things weren't bad enough..."

She looked around the cabin, she wasn't about to pull out any food she found with the gnome in the cabin though.

Eracs nodded back. "Didn't that Sandy Clause have a bunch of them, would make sense for there to be more than one!" Which wasn't a good thing but he figured it out by himself. He adjusted his hat since he realized it was crooked. "It has been an ... exciting time. At least we all lived so far!"

Besides, the other trains could have had a worse time. Lucky for the scarecrow if he ended up impaled it wouldn't hurt him. "I would like to hang out later with both of you!!" He made friends, finally! Eracs nodded. "I hope it is over but we aren't even there yet so..." He turned his head. "Oooo the train is moving!" Yeah he was a little late on that fact.

The gnome caught his attention. "Meal?" Never mind... "None of it is left at all?" Darnnn.

The door into the car opened yet again and Junko looked up almost expectantly; who was coming in now? Hopefully not another deer. Oh, it was a gnome! And this one wasn't dying...good, good. Why did he look guilty? What did he do? She leaned over a bit to get a better look at what was being brought in, looking rather indifferent to the meal cart. One's attitude towards food being served sometimes changes when there's a chance they probably won't even get to eat it themselves.

...Or at all, apparently? "You...what?" Junko frowned. It was a good thing they lived off FEAR and didn't need food, right? She looked to her friends (old and new) and sighed, playing with a bit of her currently lifeless hair. "I'd rather not eat charred remains of Jack knows what that is now...for once I'm glad I always bring snacks with me." She murmured with a little pout.

"I'll eat it." Junko blinked.

"What...?"

"The food. The burnt stuff. I'll eat it." Junko's face twisted into that of pure disgust. She was being completely serious too!

Kilometer still remained silent, though unlike before he broke his stare with a blink, then shifted his gaze elsewhere after Basil’s words.

His head tilted slightly at LWs giggle. Why was he being giggled at? He did not recall doing or anything anything funny. His head turned to his side. Is that really the body of someone sturdier? He shook the thought from his head.

Listening to LW talk about her tail and stepping on it made him think of his own. Not due to the action of stepping just the mention of a pain in the a** tail. Hers was all big, puffy and soft looking while his was thin, split and broken. It was a major pain in the a** reattaching the jack damn tips of BOTH tail tips, especially since he had to FIND them first. He sat on the back of the seat in front of where they were seated originally. Staring at his tail he flicked each tip separately.

Kilometer’s focus landed on the new presence, he seemed to be a were-tiger of some kind, before getting distracted by the sudden appearance of the gnome with a food cart. I wonder what he brought with him... What do gnomes eat anyway? Wait.. he wouldn't be bringing gnome food. What a ridiculous thought. Under the top was just burnt remains of what could have been an extremely tasty dish, whatever it was. What a pity, everyone’s food getting burnt that is. Thankfully for him he’d eat practically anything, burnt or not. The appearance of the food meant nothing to him. He’s used to eating things that would literally kill others. Poisonous, spicy, sweet, bitter you name it. Anything goes into whatever is left of his stomach. It was all quite tasty for what he was concerned; it's just another food dish.

Like hell he'd be the first to ever go near that cart though.

Sin had started this trip being quite fond of gnomes but that opinion was starting to become just a little tarnished. Her eyes narrowed on the gnome as he showed them the burnt remains of what was supposed to be their food. This had to be a joke right? She was used to best of everything, that included her meals! She crossed her arms and then blinked at Junko and grimaced.

"She's not serious...is she?" Sin frowned then shrugged lightly. "Well she can have mine too then...I'm not eating THAT." She huffed and then considered if she knew any places that could make deliveries onto a moving train. No, all her favorite places to eat were too high class to deliver. They only did catering or select deliveries to certain areas. She sighed and rubbed a hand lightly over her flat stomach. All that reindeer battling had sure made her work up an appetite.

She looked back at the gnome with a glare, she wouldn't forget this. Then she looked at Junko again semi-hopeful. "Did you say you have snacks?"

"Of course I'm serious. If no one else is going to eat it I will. You mustn't let food go to waste, that's foolish." Junko sighed and blushed, trying not to look at Sin. It was embarrassing that they all had to hear Her go on and on about how She would just eat the food for them. Junko had never gotten sick before from something She ate, she wasn't sure if such a thing was possible, but she had a feeling there was a first time for everything. She didn't seem to notice, or care if she did notice, so Junko was the only one showing any kind of shame.

"She'll eat anything that is, technically, edible. Even if it tastes disgusting to everyone else. She--er...we were taught to always clean our plate." Because they had to 'get their money's worth!' or something. At Sin's question though Junko nodded, lifting her sleeves. They did look like they were filled with things if one really looked. She didn't have enough for the entire car but for her friends she could surely spare a few snacks and still be able to feed Her enough to shut Her up. That was what the bento box was for! "Would you guys like some?"

"Junko..." Junko frowned, turning her eyes toward Her. "I wasn't kidding. I'll eat the charcoal. Have someone bring it to me, I can't move." Oh, right. Her hair was lifeless right now. She sighed and rubbed at one of her temples, looking both apologetic and slightly exasperated.

"I guess I'll take a couple plates." She said to the gnomes, frowning. This was so embarrassing.
