Aven stopped what she was doing and faced the Doctor.
"You're not answering my question," she replied, "if the crew is dead, where are the bodies? Why isn't there a sign of a struggle, blood or anything really?"
The problem wasn't getting the Angels to the storm, her active mind already had several alternatives. Within her thoughts, the limited data on the Angels was making her uneasy and the fact that he was skirting around the subject didn't help.

The Doctor sighed, "It's because when a angel kills you they send you to a different dimension. Let's just say you become apart of them. You don't have a shape or form but you have a wandering spirit that belongs to them. But sometimes they will give you a body which is the shape of a angel.

"Dimensions perhaps, but I don't believe in spirits. It's a silly superstition," she replied, "Is that what happened to them? They used to be people until an Angel came along?"
She was having trouble justifying their destruction. "Do we have to kill them?"

"You can't kill an angel. But if you get them to look at eachother then they can't ever move"

A sudden mad spark filled Aven's eyes as she looked at the Doctor. It was an eerily inhuman look.
"Everything can be killed," she said slowly, "you just need to cut it into small enough pieces."

"And why are you so set on killing things?!" he snapped back at her.

His outburst snapped her back to reality and broke the darkness in her gaze. Her mental chatter was constant, and she'd learned long ago that not all of it was beneficial. That was the main reason she refused to build weapons... she'd be too good at it. Still, there were times when the thirst for destruction was almost overwhelming.
"I'm not," she replied looking down at the screen in front of her, "but if we lure the Angels into the storm they will be torn apart like tissue paper."

"That's still killing, you have to remember that they are living and need a chance at life as well. We have to give them the choice first." he said while pacing back and forth.

"It was your idea," she pointed out as she glanced at him from the corner of her eye. "I was just thinking about scaring them off long enough to get to the TARDIS."
She continued hacking into the base's main archives as she spoke. Silently she wondered if the Doctor ever felt like he had to hold his darker self back like she did. Or perhaps he occasionally indulged in destruction to keep his darkness in check.
"Doctor..." she began but ultimately reasoned that this was not the time for that. "...never mind."

The Doctor sighed "We can't do much at the moment." he said while leaning against the wall again.

Aven slammed her hands down on the console and looked at him.
"Ok, Doctor, what's wrong?" she demanded as she walked towards him, "from what I've seen you're usually all smiles and prattling on about bananas or some other inane subject! Why are you giving up so easily? This isn't a difficult situation! Not really, and here you've shut down on me. Why?"

The Doctor glanced at her. "No one is just full of smiles." he said while looking back over at the banging door. "They'll get in soon if they keep that up." he muttered while crossing his arms.

"So do you have a plan or should I just go ahead and take this one?" Aven asked hopping on to the nearby counter with a sigh.
Just when she thought he had him figured out, he goes and gets all serious.

The Doctor got up from the wall, "Alright look around for a vent, there's gotta be a place were this oxygen is coming from"

Aven pointed to a grate directly above the Doctor's head.
"Are we going to do what I think we're going to do?" she asked looking at the vent with a faintly worried expression.
