broken_bleeding_angel Sorry guys, my internet usage has been very minimal and iffy lately. =3= Been busy with RL issues and such. =3= But I do need to know like ASAP, who is still drawing in the art shop! D:

School is starting for me as well...but I'm trying hard to keep up. I really wish Gaia would put notifications on the My Gaia section for Guilds. It would make my life so much easier. sweatdrop

HA!! I have a good signal right now, so I'll try and be quick. I have no idea when it might drop. sweatdrop
I'm so sorry I've been MIA guys, I'm trying really hard but my internet crazy unpredictable right now. One minute I'll have full bars, then for the next thirty I'll have one or none. As such, for some reason I'm having serious issues with Gaia. I keep trying though, as evidenced by my moment of sucess here!
Wizard, that sounds like fun! I'm a total SYTYCD geek... what do you have planned for it? Is the judging centered around that style, or is that the theme? Also, Poy, you can feel free to help out. I'd just like to know a bit more about it first. ^_^

Kala Kirya Wizard, that sounds like fun! I'm a total SYTYCD geek... what do you have planned for it? Is the judging centered around that style, or is that the theme? I'd just like to know a bit more about it first. ^_^ I'm working out the details, but it will be based on the SYTYCD concept... along with American Idol, Next Top Model, etc. There are going to be a series of challenges and each round the worst pictures will be cast away. Judging will be based on the following criteria:: Execution (Does it look like they took some time on it, or did they whip it up in 10 minutes), Originality, How it goes with the challenge, Detail (depending on the style), and Overall Appeal. Here's the thread, but I'm currently working on format and trying to figure out how I'm going to word things. Corrupted Symphony I wish it'd be set up already, though...I've so many things still to do for it. D< I'm working on it.. slowly but surely. I move into university this weekend, so it will probably be up and running sometime within the next two weeks. The weekend after next at the latest.

Again, I'd like to point out the idea for the art shop I mentioned some while ago. You could affiliate with other art shops. Those who affiliate can agree to donate so much of their profits (maybe one commission a month or 10% of commissions or something). They'd get the advertising, and we'd get a little gold. It would probably be could for some of use who own our own art shops. I have my own, but I'll donate some of my profits to the ball. We could affiliate, that way people are aware of what shops are donating, and the official art shop fund raiser will get more publicity as well.
This would be especially great if we can get some of the bigger artist names in the community.

Sounds like a blast Wizard! Reminds me of an art Tournament that was one Elftown, when I used to be on there. Except that had brackets and people went head to head, making their way up... So maybe not so much the same? Heehee.
All the same, it's a really great idea, I love it to death. It's just the kind of thing that seems like it'd get people interested. Is there going to be a prize? How exactly is it related to fundraising? Is there going to be a fee to get in? Or is it more on the Advertising side of the pond? If so, I encourage you to go to Sabs and let her know about it. Or I could, up to you! (Also, great plan on linking the Donation thread, kudos!)
I actually really like that idea Starlight. I don't actually know all that many people in the art community myself so I can't really help out too much except for setting up an affiliates page if you give me the links. Do you want to start looking into that yourself? Finding people who would be interested? I can do a shoutout asking people to help, if you'd like. Just let me know!

Okay peoples, in collusion with the Advertising committee, we're going to try and do an Event every month. We're going to have one person from each of the committees try and take the reins together to work each event out. They don't have to be the same person every month, but if you'd like to do multiple, that's fine.
This month has been hard to get off the ground, what with everyone being busy, starting school, vacations and whatnot. However, we'd still like to attempt an event for September.
Is there anyone who would like to be our representative for that event? Anyone who's got time and interest in helping work out an event?

Yeah, there's going to be an entry fee with the auditions. I'm not sure how much though, maybe a thousand gg per contestant. Its not really technically a fundraaiser or advertisement- I planned it to be a Donation Thread Contest. Anyways, I don't know... maybe it is. Its versitile. I do have prizes under control. I would be glad to help out with the monthly events ^^
