The only reason why I was able to find the cafe was because I noticed that it was close to the ice cream shoppe.
When Kenta-kun and I entered, I saw that there weren't much people though those who were here looked like students.
We went over to a vacant booth and looked through the simple menus. Since there weren't much people, the waitresses weren't as busy so a girl was already sent to our table.
"Are you ready to order?"
I smiled at her and nodded. "Can I have thai tea and a chocolate chip cookie please?"
She jotted down my order on a notepad and turned to smile at Kenta. "And you~?"

"I'll have an orange juice and a chocolate chip cookie as well, please." I replied. I was hungry, but I wished to watch my weight. I watched as she jotted down my order as well, and as she left to deliver the order. "So, Megumi, what do you think of this cafe?" I asked her. (Sorry about that, I had to work on a project after school today, I was stuck at the library until 7. You might have to wait a bit longer this weekend, I have finals next week and I have to cram TT.TT)

After Kenta-kun requested an orange juice and a cookie, she left.
"So, Megumi, what do you think of this cafe?"
I blinked and replied to him after a minute. "Ah you can call me Gumi if you prefer that." I smiled.
"As for the cafe, it's pretty simple. Though I believe the simplest things could make me happy."
After I said that, the same waitress came back with our orders as I muttered a quiet, "Arigatou.
I sipped my tea a bit and smiled much more. "Ah that sure made me and my stomach quite happy."
I picked up the cookie and nibbled on it. "So.. why did you choose Fuyu Academy to enroll in? Was it your abilities?"

"Well," I replied, "I don't have any special powers, but I've trained really hard in fighting with weapons. I came here to find a place to live." I took a sip of my orange juice and took a small bite out of my cookie. (Oh lord, finals on Tuesday, I'm so screwed. On the upside, I get to go home at 12 Tuesday thru Thursday, which gives me time to come on to Gaia biggrin )

While nibbling on my cookie I listened intently on Kenta-kun's words.
"Ah~ I see i see. We should spare some time neh? I don't think I'm that special either. I laughed softly to myself.
I sipped more of my thai tea. "A place to live? I hope you don' t mind me asking, but don't you have parents? Or a family?"
( Omg! x"3 Sometimes by studying I feel more pressure kekeke. Although I'm really happy we can post and roleplay you should really study! ^ ^ )

I flinched a little when she asked about my family, but I hid it to the best of my ability. "I don't know, I don't have a family." I replied. "The only thing that was with me when I was found are the two blades I carry around. I've spent basically my whole life at the orphanage, living under the guidance of the older children, especially Koi, the one who taught me basically everything I know." (Well, if I'm screwed anyways, I might as well have a good time XD I spent all day studying, so I think I'm kinda ok right now)

As I setted down my cup I saw Kenta-kun do a fast movement but I didn't see it. Though I did see his eyes turn into worry. Was the subject of family hurtful?

I bit my lip. "Kenta-kun..
I looked down. Just trying to picture myself without father. I already lost mother.. I don't want to even think about the possibility of losing father.
I looked up and gave him a small smile. "No family.. Then I'll try my best to be Kenta-kun's older sister!
I stated this strongly. I didn't like seeing Kenta-kun's expression so crestfallen, so even a small laugh or smile would do.
"I never had any company besides my parents.. so you'll have to tell me how a big sister acts neh?"
( too much studying=bad~ ahaha if you're sure ^ ^ ima start doing hw tomorrow c": )

"You too huh." I replied. "Well, when life doesn't go your way, go another way, eh?" I tried to look less sad, and I gave her a small smile. "A big sister huh." I laughed a little. "Well, I guess I have family now" (Finals means no homework, except the essay I have to finish writing. I'll be fine, I only have one finals test on Monday, as I have PE and open 7th.)

When he smiled and laughed I too did the same and looked back at the tea.
"I guess things like this happen for some sort of reason. I learned to become more independent and learn how to take care of my father when my mother died."
I sipped my tea and took a bite of my cookie.
( psh, so lucky x"3 i have this tiring essay to do as well for history~ tiz so tiring )

"Well, why did you take care of your father? Shouldn't it be the other way around?" I asked. "Wait, if you don't want to talk about it, I don't want to ask." I drank from my cup of orange juice and wiped my mouth with a tissue from the table. (Ah, freshmen don't have history yet. I'll probably take world history next year.)

I shook my head. "I don't mind. It's only fair anyways since you told me something personal as well."
I was finishing up one cookie and after I swallowed I began explaining.
"My parents were both professors--I'm not actually allowed to say their names--but anyways, after mother was murdered, both my father and I were greatly impacted."
I paused a bit to drink.
"I was able to start acting "normal" once more, but father was greatly impacted. He began to work, drink, and stay up late more. So I began taking care of him for about two years. After those two years, he began becoming "normal" too, but I still insisted on doing everything I can to take care of him."
( Sophomore here, eck~ Last year I took geography )

“Well, I had some bad habits at the orphanage too.” I replied. I took another nibble out of my cookie and once again sipped my juice. “When I grew a little older, drinking, smoking, and gambling were everyday activities for me, same as sleeping and eating.” I frowned a little, reflecting on my actions. “Then Koi pulled me out of it.” I continued. “He basically took me in and acted as my older brother, teaching me things such as reading and writing. Not only that, he also went ahead and taught me survival skills. He taught me how to swim in a river behind the orphanage, how to start a fire, and how to fight.” I drank from my cup again. “Well, I think that’s quite enough of my ranting.” (You took history freshman year? They don't offer that at my school. -.-?)

"Then again, appearances can be quite deceiving. " I nibbled on the cookie and shook my head once more.
"It's actually interesting and fun for me to learn about other people. I've always liked that--being able to learn how to do things. Which is why I guess I didn't mind having to pamper my father. Even now, I still like making gadgets of my own.
I smiled.
"It's relieving to know you had someone to take care of you while you were there. I can't imagine the idea of being alone.. Well until I came to the school that is hehe."
( Eh? Really? Well don't worry about it~ You seem pretty smart for a freshman ^ ^ )

"Yeah, Koi really smacked me back onto the right track." I replied. "At first, I thought he was going to beat me when he came to me, but he didn't. Looks are really deceiving." Then I smiled a little. "You like messing with technology too? Small world, huh?" (Well, the thing I'm most freaked out about are the 2Trig finals, even though they're multiple choice. And the JAVA final, even if they are open note, the best I scored on the practice tests for finals was 28/54, which was considered high in our class. We're all screwed there.)

I giggled. "Hard love ei?"
I saw a genuine smile and raised a brow for a sec and then I too started smiling wide and nodding.
"It is~ Haha I don't know, I guess it's one of the reasons why people would think I'm "boring."" I air quoted the word boring.
"But I actually do love technology and science so much~ Whether it be because of my parent's influence or just my natural love for it! Are you currently making or researching anything at the moment?"
( Oh my goodness, that's the highest score? If it makes you feel better, I can be stupid in chemistry and alg 2~ And yet my parents want me to be a nurse >< )
