The purple male nodded to the small pup before he watched her hop away. Pups in his old pack didn't act in such a way. Sure-claws were more distant and prickly instead of bubbly and so happy-go-lucky. His gaze flicked to the larger male that the pup bounced over to and narrowed his eyes a bit. It was A'cuil. Another wolf of his old pack and one of his best friends. He was certain that he was chosen to go off with the others long ago but that seemed not to be the case. Taki stopped and gazed at the other wolf, in confusion who had launched out of thin air then brought the stag down as she walked over to him cautiously. She watched as the life left the stag's eyes and she dipped her head and licked its sweat-soaked cheek. "And may you find peace in the next world," She muttered before turning to the male. "Thanks. I almost lost him." Departed gazed at the others from the shadows of a small rock outcropping and rested his eyes on the pups trying to figure out if any of them had a special ability like the sunny-male. He noted the kills they brought back and nodded. Perhaps he should stick around to study the others.

Ammy licked the she-wolf's forehead again. "Then you are blessed, to be born so unique. You look like a beatiful bird." she said, a little louder. Then she turned around and tried to pick out their Alpha. The purple she-wolf looked like she could be in charge; but the brown warrior could be, also.
Deciding that the purple female had enough to handle with the peppy female, she chose to approch the brown wolf. "How long has this pack been here?" she asked.
Kora waited until A'cuil nodded to her before she set down her kill and quickly backed away. She didn't fancy to be there when the pink female came over, not wanting to know A'cuil's reaction. She mildly hoped she would walk away without anything missing.
She walked over to the other side of the kill pile and sat down to watch.

Ceres watches the bright pink wolf named Zuri practically bounce around others. Chuckling to herself, she looks over at Prince. "It is almost time to eat our kills, Prince. After Icarus takes some of his kill, then we can start." Picking up her almost forgotten Pheasant, she walks over to the pup. "Let's prepare to eat by removing some of the feathers like this." As she ends her words, she grabs a mouthful of feathers in her mouth and pulls it away from the bird. She spits the feathers out, looks at the young pup, and goes to remove more.

Nodding the male smiled at the brightly colored female and dipped his head as the thick scent of embarrassment and charigan filled the air. "No thanks are necessary. I thought you could use some help." He raised his head and smiled at her, his eyes gazing into hers and holding them there, transfixing them with their color and the light that held in them. "I'm Herne. What's your name, miss?"

((Oops sorry. gonk )) Taki smiled and nodded to him. "My name is Taki. And Herne huh? What does that name even mean? If you don't mind my asking." She glanced at the deer then flicked her eyes to the male once more. "It's your kill though."

°o.O❇ℙ๑ℛ๑ℐ๑ℕ๑ℂ๑ℇ❇O.o° Prince looked at Ceres and nodded. He walked over to the kill pile and grabbed the pheasant. He drug it over to were Ceres was sitting and then layed beside her. He had the pheasant between his front paws and grabbed hold of some feathers. One feather tickled the roof of his maw ausing hium to sneeze. He looked at Ceres slightly embarrased and saw how she was plucking the feathers. Prince tried again and this time manage to pull a few out. "I got some!" Prince exclaimed happily as his tail wagged faster.

Glancing at the deer he sighed. "You saw it first. But how about we share it?" Smiling to her he sniffed the corpse then rose his head, his mouth watering from the scent. "Herne means 'Mythical Hunter'. I think it was a play on words. My mother was a seer of sorts. She taught me some of her trade. I can read signs in the sky and grass but I can read it as accurately as she could. I wish I knew what happened to her..." He trailed off as he remember his mother telling him to run before they came. The ones who attacked them. He escaped and he watched them take his mother away.
Shaking his head he dipped his head and took a large bite from the deer, thanking his ancestors for the meal.

He was going to get overwhelmed again. A'cuil's tail twitched his irritation from the moment the bubbly pink femme's voice touched his ears, but he strove to keep his expression moderately calm. 'Cute' was not something that registered with the gruff warrior. "Hello. Welcome to the gathering." This he said mildly, hoping fervently that he would be given the opportunity to slip away from this clutch of creatures quickly. He wanted to engage Rebel, that scamp, the only one who might be able to tell him something of his pack!
It was not to be. But the wolfess who encountered him now was one he could not complain about - this fae was a warrior! He caught sight of the muscles beneath her fur long before he saw the disk on her back. A'cuil estimated that it would be a devastating weapon, and looked on her with favor in his eyes. "The wolves that you see have condensed here in the last few moons, since our packs disappeared into the Darkness. We are no pack - not yet." On this, he and Rouqie's thoughts were not far apart. This was a leaderless rabble, and it could not stay that way for long: so many wolves were arriving that such harmony could not possibly be kept. Even he felt it, he had to admit. Even as he pined relentlessly for the Sure-Claw he had known, the snakeskin warrior found himself wondering if he could rise to Alpha...
Had he not been so occupied by the females around him, A'cuil might have had the chance to look around the clearing once more. The sight of another Sure-Claw would have been quite welcome to him.

Zuri turned and padded away, toward no where in particuliar. She looked around and decided to approach the purple and gold male. "Hi!" She walked toward him, sitting in the grass and wagging her tail.

Ceres giggles a little at seeing the young pup sneeze from the feathers. "Good job Prince!" She exclaims, "Try to take a smaller mouthful, it should help avoid sneezing like that." Smiling, she plucks some more of the feathers from her own kill. After spitting out this round of feathers, she looks at her own pile of feathers, and then Princes'. He was doing alright for his first time, seeing as it was a strange movement from what he was used to.

Trying to hold back a snort of laughter at the number of females that surrounded A'cuil he mearly smirked. Always was a ladies-wolf. He had never been so lucky with the females but he never minded. At least he didn't have all of them crowding around him. He hated so many around him which is why he kept his distance. Paden shook his head and snickered to himself.
As he listened to his words his thoughts began to drift. To lead a pack. If only his father could see him now. A lean warrior that may had a chance within another pack. Standing he trotted forward into the vass array of wolves before stopping. Another familiar face. Rebel the young rascal. He missed that pup's spunk and quick mind. He sighed and glanced at A'cuil and padded up behind the females. "Greetings ladies!" he called, trying to distract them long enough to give his friend a break. He was caught of guard and glanced at the female that stood beside him and smiled at her. "And hello to you too." She watched him as he explain his family life and she wish she could relate. Taki watched him take a bite from the deer and again she was reminded of her grumbling stomach. She padded beside him and tentively sniffed the deer then took a quick bite. When she saw he didn't attack she began to eat alongside him.
Once she had eaten her fill she stumbled over to the side of the clearing, washing her muzzle. "My family hid me from other wolves. She feared that they would cast me out for my odd markings and appearance. She and dad died a long time ago." She shrugged off the memory and rest her head on her paws to watch him. "So where you from one of the old packs?"

Andragos listened quietly. Watching the other wolves. He had mindlessly been watching Rebel, then the sudden realization fall over A'cuil, and to his annoyance Roquie's liking to the brute. So yes he had barely known Roquie but they had been from the same pack. That he had hoped they had some sort of kinship, apparently not. It was a fend for yourself sort of deal now wasn't it. Then again there seemed to be plenty of females here and all of them seemed to be without mates, so he could get to know each of them and then decide a future as it was to early to say anything. They were acquaintances except for a few he began to call friends such as Fairyn and Ceres.
As the newer wolves came in however he spotted the beautiful white and red wolf with the strange thing on her back. How incredibly beautiful, her pelt was like snow and the red it reminded him of blood. Like a dance almost. The strange purple and gold brute, a very handsome wolf he might add, seemed interesting to get to know and then the others. So many colors and more names to have to remember.

After swallowing his final bite he walked over to her and lay down in front of her and tilted his head. "Nope. It was always me and my mother. I never knew my father. You were lucky." Smiling at her he washed his muzzle and gazed into her eyes. "So tell me. Do you have a pack?"
