Omega-I think you'll try defying gravity. Antonio smiled. He was generally a nice guy, every one knew this. Had the circumstances been different, he might have felt bad for the thugs, it was obvious that they had no idea what was going to hit them. But these men really deserved what they had coming. Not only were they trying to threaten his friends, they were also being very rude about it, and that was not right. He was going to have some fun with this. He tried his very hardest not to laugh as the thugs leader, easily identifiable by his lower intelligence but bigger muscles, referred to Shandra as his baby. Even Antonio, who had come up with countless 'pet names' for the red head over their years of acquaintance, knew better than calling Shandra baby. The only thing that would be worse for the thug was if he called Cissa Babe. Shandra might let the thug live. The thug reached down to pull out his gun, which was now comfortably hidden in the folds of Antonio's clothing, and instead pulled out a twig. The look on the thugs face was priceless, causing the hispanic mutant to break out in laughter. The 'tough guy' did not seem to realize that his pocket had been picked, and instead blamed Shandra for all of his problems, calling her a very bad name in the process. He was, of course, then thrown into a wall. He was contemplating what to do with the charging few when he heard a familiar voice bark out, "Hurry up". Antonio's smile deepened, it seemed that their leader was watching them, which meant that this had to be at least a little impressive or he might lose favor. "Get ready to throw them into a wall." He told Shandra. Cracking his fingers he stepped forward. "So you great leaders gun was a stick, are you guys bigger or smaller." It was a taunt, and one that seemed very effective as on of the thugs roared and picked up pace. Antonio's hand slipped into his pocket, pulling out one of the many items that had found their way there during the groups shopping excursion. Once the thug was in range, Antonio side stepped and grabbed the thug, doing several things simultaneously. His hand slipped down and dropped the jewelry into the thugs pocket. He usually liked to keep things that fell into his possession, but every once in a while, he got the chance to do something fun with them. His other arm grabbed the thug, who was now experiencing low gravity for probably the first time, and pulled him off balance. With a sweep of the foot and a gentle push, the man was sent flying towards the same wall as the leader. The only difference was that he was picking up speed due to the heavy gravitational force that existed between him and the wall. The force on impact was enough to knock him out. Antonio turned to face the remaining four who were still running. They were too close together for him to do the same as he did to their friend, unfortunately they would have the pleasure of meeting Shandra up close and personal. Antonio threw himself on the ground in front of them. Two of the men tripped, but the others manage to jump over him, Either was he had done what he had intended. Once the thugs feet left the ground, they found themselves flying towards the redhead, picking up speed. He got to his feet, brushing himself off, as he watched them sail towards the red head. If she did repel them, the forces should be enough to knock out the other four, in which case Antonio had a few more goodies to plant.

⌠Ω+M+ε+G+α⌡- Private Party? Sure! "You know, know, very well who the buzzzzzed one is, A-Alek" Leion replied, his head lolling up momentarily. He was drunk sure he had only drank three cups of . . . whatever but he didn't care right now what Narcissa would think if he wasn't at the bonfire or what anyone would think for that matter. It may just be because he missed out on the fun back on Muir Island when some of the others had gone drinking, but he wanted to have as much fun and try as many new things as he could at the bonfire, and drinking at a private party was a whole bunch of new things rolled into one. "Hell Yes! I'm in for this party, If we go to the to-top of A~nything I'mma needsome help." his free arm flying up for a moment while Petra spoke about rules. . .and English and vodka or something. "As long aswe don't get in trouble we should be fine with the rules" Leion mumbled quietly slightly enjoying the sensation of his lolling from side to side.

Omega: Never been drunk... lets not start now. Before long Varian found his way to the rebellious group. Some seemed off, drunk even. Seeing Alek there only solidified his assumption. He could smell the alcohol too. So he knew that trouble was brewing. He looked over and saw Petra there as well. She was a new Omega. Narcissa and Kerri weren't around, so Varian thought maybe he should linger and keep an eye on her.
"Ah... a private party?" He spoke up to the group. He saw some of the floating trays with various items on them. At first he thought maybe it was another telekinetic mutant, but when all the floating objects seem to be mad of metal, he drew a completely different assumption. Varian was very preceptive that way.
He spotted the rather... "buzzed" Leion and he smiled a bit. "Here" Varian said walking over to him and helping him gain his balance. "Ill get you to where ever your going. Narci would kill me if someone got hurt." He wrapped Leions arm around his shoulder. "Walk... or fly?" He offered a little bluntly, before turning back towards Petra.
"Ah, Petra right? My name's Varian... I too am an Omega." He gave her a slight nod. Even though he had not spoke to much, it was still more than most usually hear from him.
"Mind your manners too Alek." Varian gave Alek a very stern warning. Sure Alek was more of Varians senior... but Varian didn't play games, and Alek was dangerous, a drunk one could be worse.

Alley Way - Let's Play Ball! Shandra paused at the sound of a very familiar voice. Narcissa had come to watch apparently, and she couldn't help but pause at that as she tried to figure out just what the blond could have wanted in town. The sun goddess was volatile on the best of days when angered...after Limbo, it hadn't seemed to get any better. Any trigger... - well they'll just have to make sure they finished the job to satisfaction.
The red head stayed herself as Antonio told her to get ready and started to crack his fingers, apparently setting his plan into motion. After just a moment, she could definitely tell that he was using his powers as the first man fell. Though, she hadn't exactly expected to throw himself to the ground to take two more down to send her way.
Shandra grabbed onto the broken lamppost next to her, swinging her body around to create momentum enough to kick them both. And after that, it was such a simple thing it was to send them both into the wall of the building where two of their comrades were. Although she had to say that it might have been overkill, considering that her push re-slammed the leader and the unconscious thug into the wall as it knocked the other two out.
But hey, at least everything she and Antonio were doing couldn't get them called out for being mutants...technically they were all landing physical blows on everyone but the leader to take them down if anyone was looking after the first sound.
Shandra touched back down to the ground, having to flip her hair back and straighten herself up as she stood up.
Two more to go.
And they looked ready to run after they got to the ground from Antonio's trip trick. Well, at least their instincts were finally kicking in. Too bad it was just too late.
Shandra moved into something similar to a handstand as she moved her legs to wrap around one of the men's torso - around the neck and the waist. The movement was quick as she started to roll herself, grappling the man to the ground. Or she would have...if she hadn't aided her throw with her own push.
One more down. One to go.
Her hands touched the ground as she rolled to take the impact of the ground. Shandra turned around quickly, facing the last man standing with a smile as she blocked the only exit he could have. Nearly surrounded, Narcissa on one exit, Antonio in the middle, and herself on the other exit, Shandra could see the desperation on his face. Maybe that was a good thing, usually made people think twice before they tried something.
That and she was having way too much fun doing this.
Using the human bodies and the walls, Shandra used the wall and the broken lamp to cross the distance in a much more theatrical way considering the circumstances. In a real fight, with projectiles, it would have been a much smarter move than walking straight. Besides, she wasn't going to end her movement yet and it was a simple continuation of what she'd already done.
The omega landed so close to the man that he jumped back, spooked. Apparently he hadn't seen anyone practiced in Parkour take the wall at a run. She didn't blame him for that though, she knew it was a rare art where she grew up. Shandra dived under the man's legs (she'd give him credit for at least having a study foundation) and came up into a horse kick after she spun herself around on her hands. It landed on his side as he had started to turn around.
And as she sent an extra push with her kick, along with the sound of when her kick landed, she knew that the man was down as soon as he hit the wall.
There was a slight...twisted smile on her face as she stared at the six men that were crumpled against the building. Some of them might have things broken, she'd be surprised if there wasn't. But maybe it would hold them up for a while and make them think about attacking tourists...or people in general.
"So...who's up for a bonfire?" Shandra asked, brushing her dirty hands off on her pants, with a slight smile on her lips in satisfaction.
Nothing like a bunch of movement to give a certain peace of mind.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~
Five minutes later, Shandra was sitting by the ocean, dipping her feet into it and leaning back on her hands that were buried into the sand. Her pants were pushed up past her knees just in case the tide lapped a bit farther up than just her feet. The sand underneath her was cool, and her back was to the fire, keeping her warm enough.
Shandra let her head fall backwards as she relaxed her shoulders and neck. She missed California...it was truly a shame that she hadn't been to her home state in five years... (the one "business" trip didn't count)

Omega - Life Stories and Swimming
Carlos Listened with mild interest. A few more inches and the sun would be gone. He didn't like being vulnerable, but he took his shades off to watch the sun set into nothing. He'd never admit it, but twilight was when his eyesight was at it's weakest. The transition from his black and white to full night color vision, was radical. If he had to explain it to someone he'd have to liken it to the Predator taking off it's mask to fight Ahrnold in the first movie. The fire didn't help much with the switch but even then, the fire was faintly dim in comparison, it wasn't obstructive. He looked Evie over, forgetting about the gold rings in his eyes until a brief meeting of his eyes to her told him he was staring. Couldn't be helped. He rarely saw anyone in color these days, having forced his sleeping habits into more "normal" standards. Living an old black and white movie the past few months was depressing. As Evie spoke about him sharing his story and how he seemed to open up he lulled that over.
" oh? interested in my file chica? Could have obviously asked. And I guess when I'm not near her majesty I'm more inclined to voice myself. You make it all too easy V. Your Neutral but involved. Your not going to try and be my mother, or be furious with me because I come up short." He resisted the urge to use Cissa and Bella by name as appropriate. He didn't want to seem or make himself bitter by repeating to himself why he was out here away from everyone. He had no comment for her Nutshell crack and so he listened to her story with mild interest, eyes averted towards her feet so he wasn't making eye contact, still conscious about the alteration they seemed to be stuck with for now.
When she finished he repressed a small laugh. " I wouldn't know then. I was a Paragon. I will say though chica. I'm starting to wish that I was either an Alpha or that you were an Omega right now. More for you Being an Omega. You got that wild streak, and I'm sure you can keep us together till Cissa gets better. I might leave the teams either way. Things keep going the way they are maybe I'll get back to Columbia." . Even though he wasn't directly expressing it his tone carried heavy and sad. He was much more confused now though as to where he actually belonged or fit in as far as teams go. If it was still the old way, he might now prefer to be on a team that wasn't Bella or Cissa ruled. But between the two Bella was less stressful, and far more trusting of his abilities he thought. He broke away from his train of thought as Evie asked him a question and looked up to meet her.
" Sure why not. It's nice and dark, so if we lose the suits no one will see." there was genuine amusement in that thought, and the smirk on his face the obvious tell that he was joking. He stood up and kicked sand onto the fire to put it out, then offered a hand to Evie to help her up so they could get going. He hasn't swam in awhile, and would enjoy exploring those reefs from earlier in the more refined clarity only his dark vision could offer. He was sure Evie could see almost as well as he could in the dark, but he doubted even she had the capacity to see in pitch black with color like it was a high definition movie.

Alpha: Bonfire- burnt marshmallow and sweet whisperings. Vallon's blush increased when Madison reached across him to big in his bag for some chocolate. He tried to hide it but well there wasn't much to hide out here so he decided it didn't matter if he blushed. When she mentioned her father in relation to his, he nodded they had been in almost the same boat when it came to father's her's was much worse but the similarities where there. However when she mentioned her sister, it made Vallon smile a little at the thought of his little brother, he had been so happy to see Vallon though it had been an unhappy occasion it was always good to see family. Vallon listened to Madison's every word he could actually listen to her talk for hour's but that wasn't the way tonight was supposed to work so when she asked about Vallon he couldn't help but chuckle about the boxing joke. "Well I guess I be somewhat of mystery. But no i'm not jus a good right hook, let me see, i like ta tend and care fer plants, mostly me littl' bonsai. I like sci-fi novel's as well, but i haven't had me much time ta be readin' It's kinda funny bein that we are somethin right out o science fiction. I like movie's well enough. I never got much time for em growin up but, i like tha idea of it bringin people together, Muppet treasure island, one o the classic's." Vallon said as there was a burning hissing sound when his marshmallow had melted off the stick and fallen into the fire he had practically forgotten about it, he felt a bit stupid but he chuckled pulling back the burning end of the stick and blowing out the small flame on it. "I was never good with fire." was all he said as he laughed a bit at himself. Vallon looked at Maddy's Marshmallows they where almost perfect. "Maybe you could help me with the cookin part? Since ya seem ta have it down." Vallon said as he thought about everything that was happening, and then decided to talk a little more about himself but not to much, he did want Madison to know more about him than anyone else did, but he didn't want to talk her ear off. "So ya like tha Beatles, great old group them boys are. Any other music ya like in particular?" Vallon decided he would lead into that since that was their first big moment was involving the Beatles.

Alpha: Shot in the Dark
His eyes were interesting. She didn't want to stare because she knew he was not comfortable with them. So she glanced back and forth like she normally would. Evie was always watching things.
"Ha, don't flatter yourself too much 'los. I used to read everybody's files. Now, there were some things I skipped over. Everybody deserves their secrets.... but I got a good idea of how people worked, their weaknesses and their strengths... one reason I was able to be the leader I was and part of me feels like I am at a disadvantage now."
Evie took Carlos' hand to stand up. She had been sitting so long that her feet had been falling asleep a bit. Flexing her feet and stretching her ankles helped start the wake up process. His joke was obvious but she also knew that if it were true she wouldn't be surprised. Tilting her head to the side she smirked, "Well, since when have I been afraid to be an exhibitionist in the light?"
She tossed her shorts on a rock and put her sunglasses on top of them donning her black bikini once again. Being the type of mutant she was, Evie noted the exact position she placed them in. Details were important for those "just in case" times. She led him down the beach towards the water. The only thing illuminating it was the moon and stars. It was amazingly beautiful and one of those moments where you really needed to stop and appreciate what you were seeing.
"You might need to be my eyes in the darker parts. I can see better than most, but if there is no light.... I'm blind," She pulled her hair back into a ponytail and felt her toes sink into the wet sand. The water was cold as it wrapped up around her ankles. Mentally taking a moment, she got used to the shock of the cold. Smiling, she looked over at him and knew he was in his element. Putting a hand on his arm, "You're the leader, Carlos. What do you want to see tonight?"

Omega: Lightweight baby~Jacen stood, looking into the enormous bonfire the party-starters had created earlier that evening. He hadn’t seen any of his teammates in the crowd, but then again he hadn’t exactly looked for them as of yet. The normally affable teen was much more mellow than normal, tapping his foot in the sand to the music in the background. This island was certainly different from his own tropical home, much more Mediterranean than tropical, but he hadn’t expected that much either. He held one of those connotative red plastic cups in his hand, though it was filled with root beer as opposed to alcohol. Alcohol just didn’t sit well with him, either the Octopian mutation or the fact that he had a ridiculously low tolerance could be the cause, or a little bit of both. He finally turned away from the fire at sound of something different. He didn’t know what it was, the mutant turning his head until he spotted the group of Alek, Hoshi, Eli, Wilbur, Petra, Varian and Leion. He walked over, hearing Leion’s drunken ramblings and raising his eyebrows, resisting the urge to chuckle at his friend’s predicament. He weaved his way out of the inner bonfire, walking up next to the group. “Hey guys, what’s-“ He was cut off as he dodged Leion’s upward-moving arm, saving himself from a smack in the face. “-Crackin?” He finished his normal pun of a greeting, looking around the gathering. Two people he didn’t know, one alpha he didn’t particularly trust, one Soviet stereotype, Two Omegas and one totally smashed friend. Jacen turned to Eli and Wilbur, “Name’s Jacen Reilly, Kraken when in the field.”

Alpha: Running - At the Bonfire Sophia ran, her sandaled heels smacking the pavement as she slid…Heart pounding in her chest like the wings of a hummingbird. She heard Christian calling her from not far behind…But she just couldn’t…Talk to him right then. Her gray eyes were slowly filling with tears, her breathing shallow. She truly, honestly didn’t think Narcissa would leave any of the men alive. It certainly wasn’t the smartest move she’d ever made… Of course, there was no Varian, Christian, Reikon, Jack or Raine to save her from her mistakes. Luckily for once she was spared the consequences of this and stumbled into the brightly lit area where the bonfire was burning brightly. She saw her friends…People she knew, talking, laughing, and her stomach sank. She didn’t know what to do. She didn’t want to bring anyone down… Her gray eyes hunted surreptitiously for Isabella, only glimpsing her once from the depths of a crowd around the bonfire. Panic was rising, and she didn’t know what to do… If there was something she should do at all. Her head began to ache and she passed by the group that contained a few people she didn’t know—As well as Varian, Alek, Kracken, and Leion. Her blurry eyes couldn’t distinguish the features of the others as she made her way towards the place she felt safest—towards something green. It was hard to find green things on a beach. She ended up standing in a grassy knoll that still had sand littering the area, but it was grass, and even that was enough. Under her influence the grass grew thicker, blocking out the sand. She stood under some kind of tree that overlooked the bonfire… It seemed like a willow tree, but it wasn’t, it’s roots were strong and grew out of sand…Not dirt. Not that she saw anyway. A soft breeze tossed her auburn hair, drying her eyes as she silently tried to figure out exactly what had just happened. She was frightened by what she had left behind… Afraid that there would be a dozen homicides in the morning. Afraid for the men, that had made stupid decisions… Afraid for her friends, for herself, for the consequences that may follow. She wished that she could be brave like everyone else... But she was fresh out of bravery. Limbo had taken the best she could give and spit it right back at her... Even a few weeks hadn't taken the scent of brimstone and blood out of her nose.

ALPHA Not a happy party-goer
“Private party?” Wilbur surveyed the current shindig all of the students were at. He still hadn’t really met anyone besides the group that was contemplating a private party. He would feel bad about leaving before he knew everyone, but honestly, was hat actually going to happen at a party? “What the hell, why not?” He was excited about the prospect of all of the things that could happen at a party with so much alcohol. It actually made him smile. At some point in time Wilbur had gotten himself another drink and he was enjoying it. He made sure he could still hold up Leion. Nothing worse than one drunk trying to help another drunk.
His buzz was completely killed by another person who came over. Wilbur couldn’t tell if he was trying to stop the party or join, but either way, he was a total jerk.
“Hey, don't patronize me. That's not cool.” Talking about Leion. It may have been the little bit of alcohol that got him riled up, but it probably wasn’t. He turned to Alek and back when he was told to ‘watch his manners’. “I don’t know what this guy’s done, but I don’t know him, so please, leave that behind. Talk about a buzz kill.” Wilbur pulled off a smile, but he was offended. He pushed it out of his mind when a guy came over and introduced himself as Jacen, an Omega. He didn’t understand why he paused when greeting the group.
“What’s goin’ on? Wilbur Gibson. Um, Jetsream, I suppose, in the field.” He wasn’t used to using his combat name just yet. It felt kind of silly to tell the truth.

Alpha - NO TEARS AT A PARTY! Eli laughed as the events unfolded. He honestly didn't expect this many people to come with the group. But hell, he needed more friends, so what was the problem.
He was laughing till he heard Varian speak to Alek. "Hey now, if you're gonna come here, offer help and then follow it up by being rude and negative towards someone. Hell, so far, he's a helluva guy, he offered to chill my drink, for free." He proclaimed, his tone softening at the end into a little laugh. The alcohol was hitting Eli, as his logic was dumbed down a bit.
As they started gettin back to enjoying themselves, yet another person showed up, Jacen. "Pleased to meet ya, I'm Elliott, you can call me Eli (E-lie), I go by Railgun in the field." He finished with a wide grin from ear to ear.
Eli enjoyed the company he was in. They were a fun bunch. Funny, and watched out for each other. Or at least from what he could see. He wondered, if it was maybe the alcohol, but he didn't mind.
As he stood there, a girl (Sophia) went walking by, panic in her expression and a glint of fire reflecting off her eyes, tears. "THIS IS A PARTY! I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT!" He exclaimed a few seconds later as things registered in his mind; then walked off in the direction Sophia did, most likely leaving everyone confused in his momentary absence. Finding her a few moments later in a sand littered grassy knoll.
He walked up silently, until sand crunched beneath his feet, he paused and continued on. 'Don't be obnoxious, she's crying, cheer her up and invite her with us.' He thought to himself and leaned over slightly. "Excuse me miss, I don't know why you're distraught, but if it helps any, me and a couple of others, well, seven others, are headed up to the top of Catalina, you're welcome to join us. It's a crime to be by yourself when everyone's having fun." He finished up, walking his way out of the grove. "Sunrise coming up over the mainland is amazing, if we're still awake by then, even more amazing if there's low lying fog! He exclaimed and ran his way back to the rest of the group.
"Well now, to the top!" He exclaimed, his finger pointed in the air like an explorer on his way to discover uncharted lands. And so, the private party (Petra, Leion,, Varian, Jacen,Hoshi, Alek, and Wilbur)would begin.

Alpha: At the bonfire. Gideon just moved in sync with Bella. she had his heart long before the connection appeared. But he did enjoy it. the whole being able to tell what the other was feeling was great. "Sure you don't songbird." Gideon said not giving in to her innocent smile. But it really didn't matter he was just enjoying dancing with the most beautiful woman at the so called party. When she twined her arms around his neck he slid his around her waist. "I know you don't like that I want to help her. But it is in the long run better for the whole academy. To get her to the normal Cissa we know how to deal with." Gideon said he did feel the occasional eye fall on them. Evidently those not used to seeing the two together are mesmerized or surprised who knows. Then again someone as sweet and loving as Bella with the gruff and dangerous Gideon was not a typical match. But they worked and that was all that mattered. "And don't you even think about bleaching. You are perfect the way you are mi reina." He said truthfully he loved her for her. And truly believed she was as perfect as one could be. Gideon saw what she was meaning. It seemed several planned to head somewhere else.. "You are not a stick in the mud. It's just I think that you are their authority figure and one tends not to do things they are not to in front of authority. Certain exceptions not withstanding suck as the pathetic Alek." He leaned forward and kissed her hoping to get her to smile. "Life is dangerous songbird. And it is only logical that when one is in a new location someone would want to explore and familiarize the surroundings." He said hoping that would ease her mind. But he did know her and her mother bear nature. "And yes I know things for mutants tend to be more dangerous. That doesn't mean they have to live in fear everywhere they go. That includes you beautiful. Leader or no can't be on high alert all the time." He kissed her again. "You taught me that."

Omega: Party Time
She wasn't totally without heart. Petra cared about people very much. She just didn't have time for kiddie games. So seeing one of their fellow X-Men on the beach upset didn't sit well with her either. Nodding in understanding, she watched as Eli ran over to her to give her the invite. This girl she had recognized from around the Institute before it blew up. Walking over to her, Petra put an arm around Sophia and said gently, "Sophia, yes? Come join us. We make you cheer up or.... eh, forget your trouble till morning. What you say? Come?"
Letting go of the girl, she started to follow Eli's lead and head towards the location of their private party. She turned and nodded introducing herself, "I am Petra."
Joining the path the group was one, she had no second thoughts about going. Why be on vacation if you couldn't relax? And what beach was a beach without a group of drunk young adults on it? She carried the tray of drinks with her. There was no way it was going to leave her hand unless Eli ripped it off with his power. No party fouls happening here.

Alpha - Drinkin and Thinkin
Jack had become a background for the party, apparently having a few to drink making him less rowdy. Between others and the one other person who seemed to be playing games with him he was feeling abit alone, but nothing he couldn't deal with. He got up ignoring person in particular and moved towards the small group that was forming around Sophie. It was peeving to him somewhat. As he strode over though it was less irritating. Hearing the new omega (Petra) give alittle encouragement to the smaller girl to come join the bonfire, made him smirk as he sipped from a bottle and lumbered.
Still he stopped halfway as Petra went past him and his eyes followed crossing his redhead before he snapped back to Sophie. He wasn't going to coddle her, it honestly peeved him that others were doing it. Smothering really. So he just jerked his head at her, a sign that she should come on and join them. He liked Sophie and felt for her, but with everyone smothering her when she had those tears, he wasn't going to be the one caught with the pillow in his hands. With his small gesture he turned avoiding Kerrigan's gaze to what he hoped was some frustration and joined the others.
He stood several feet from Eli and grabbed a drink from Petra's tray as she walked by, finishing his previous one. He might be the Jolly Giant after a few more drinks, for now he was being quite a rarity for the moment. Too much thinking goin on in his noggin and not enough words to string together in one way.

Beach - Was this Mandatory? Shandra laid down calmly in the sand for a moment, just staring up at the stars. They were so hard to see in the city...all the pollution, smog and light alike, she missed them. For a moment, she found herself tracing them, as though it were dot to dot, till she realized that she was probably getting sand all in her hair...again.
This time she slowly stood up, trying to get as little of the sand as she could under her clothes. Standing up, Shandra took a deep breath and simply pushed all the sand away from her body. It didn't do the best job ever, since she still had cloths on...but at least it helped. It was still so odd that her hair never moved with her pushes...but that was a thought for later.
The fire was bright, causing her to squint for a moment, compared to the rest of the night. It took a few seconds, but at least her eyes got used to the light setting enough to properly see. Enough to see that people were grouping up at least. Maddy was with Vallon (wasn't she supposed to be tutoring him or something?), Bella and Gideon were together while Sophia was being flocked by two other people (Eli and Petra).
And off in the far corner she saw a fairly big group. (Alek, Hoshi, Wilbur, Varian, Jacen and Leion) Though, of course she didn't exactly know Hoshi or Wilber, she knew well enough that anything with Alek and Varian in the mix was bound to be trouble...
Brushing her hands off on her pants, Shandra walked over. If anything, she'd half way watch out for Jacen and Leion...discourage them if they were about to do anything right up Alek's alley. Especially since the closer she got...the drunker Leion appeared.
"Hey," Shandra greeted, waving at the people she didn't know, as she took up the other side of Leion.
"Any idea why Bella and Kerri both wanted to make sure we were at the party?" Shandra asked quietly, not trying to be rude but trying to separate her two friends from the two that were obviously trouble makers.
Alek and Varian both had lost any form of respect that came from trust from her...she didn't want Jacen or Leion to get hurt because the two of them did something incredibly foolish and got them in trouble. Especially not after the fight she had just gotten out of...she didn't want to see what would happen to a completely drunk Leion if that gang decided to stir up hell.
"You should probably stay out of trouble till we find out why they wanted us to go to a party," Shandra said, her tone patient as she looked at Jacen and Leion.
Her eyes passed over Alek and Varian with a held back cautious contempt, trying not to say anything to them. They definitely weren't her favorite people...if it wasn't for the fact that she didn't want her two friends to get in trouble with them...she wouldn't have even went over towards them. But to be fair, Varian wasn't a completely lost cause...not like Alek at least, it would just take a good deal of actual thinking to get him back to the point where she could "trust" him to actually behave.
Her stance move slightly, as though she was expecting something, but then again she was usually in a casual guarded position. She wasn't a delicate female, that was for sure, despite what her measurements might have said.
"Come on Leion, lets go get some real food into you...you look like you could use it," Almost unsure, Shandra offered Leion her hand. She wasn't big on the whole physical contact side, and he definitely should know that, but...it didn't feel right leaving him.
Though apparently the new arrival (Eli) had it in his head to do go up the mountain anyway...
She wasn't going to let him wonder off drunk...definitely not anywhere near Alek.
