Aura agreed with Alyssa's concern but didn't show it. More fear was the worst thing to have now.

Alex started to lick the nasty tasting duct tape from her mouth. She got one corner to fall and then she stuck her tongue through it and got half the duct tape off.

"We'd better start searching for her, then," Lee muttered, straightening himself up. "Let's go as a group, though-- seeing as a few of us are potential kidnapping targets..."

Alex was glad it was pitch black when the duct tape fell from her mouth. She prayed silently for a moment, while she worked more on her hands. The rope burned as she struggled against the ropes. A hand landed on her wrists. "I said not to move." Said a deep male voice. Alex yelped a little at the sharp point at the base of her throat. "How can you see me?" She asked.

Aura agreed silently and followed them, one hand on a dagger. I need to find the funky barbs to attach to the rope, she thought. Hopefully soon.

Karin stood up when she was sure everyone was awake, "I saw Alex wander off toward the other side of the mansion. I think our best guess was that she was kidnapped around there." She headed off after making sure that everyone was following. There's a slight problem...how am I going to get that raven down? It's so high up, I had to use a ladder to get it where it should be. Maybe I can climb up there? Risky...but worth a try... Karin pondered as she walked.

"About the raven clue..." Aura muttered, then decided against it and shut up. She followed Karin, but wondered if leaving Elias by himself--especially unconscious--was a good idea.

"You know, we should probably take Elias with us..." Karin commented after she realized they had nearly walked off without him, "He may have useful information on how to find the others." Unless he's in on this whole thing... Karin kept the thought to herself though and became alert when they left the window behind them and stepped into the shadows.

"Raven clue? What are we looking for?" Lee queried, scanning the area. ""You're right. I'll help wake him up!"
Bending down beside Elias's unconscious form, he gave the boy several hard pokes on the side of his head.
"I'm up..." came the sleepy grumble. "Who are you guys again?"
He lifted his face and saw Aura. Finally, a familiar face! "Oh- Morning. Long time no see, Aura."
Lee smacked himself, muttering "We really need to get going. Can we get searching for clues? Time's of the essence here."

"Hi." Aura said with as nice a smile she could muster. All shyness was erased by the urgency of the situation. "We're going to look for clues about Elisa and Mr. Gilfax's locations. One of our number was kidnapped though and we're looking for her now."
She helped him stand and offered some tea from a thermos. "Do you know anything that could help us?"

"I had no clue that you were going to be trapped with us," Elias replied, looking depressed. That hadn't been part of the deal
"When he" (indicating Lee) "found me, you probably heard a girl's scream... That was Elisa. She was being taken to another room. Some of you probably know, but there are a couple of hidden passageways and rooms in this mansion. That room you found me in is connected to one of them." He gave each of the people present a measuring look. "How much do you know about the situation right now?"

That you're somehow behind this Aura was tempted to reply but said: "Elisa and your grandparents were betrayed and abducted, there's a clue hidden in a raven, Alexsandria was kidnapped, and there are a bunch of armed men around the house with suicide masks.
"Did I miss something?"

"Yes, but that's part of the plan you see, Alex I don't want you to be found. And I don't want any of the others to be found." The man said.
Alex looked at the guy, whose face she couldn't see. "But the others in our group will find you." She replied full of sarcasm.
