Sabre felt his face go a blank, a look he got when he resisted any feeling of anger. If he did show up this weekend it'd be hard not to do anything to the man. After all Sabre already didn't like him. "I hope he does make it. It's been a while since you've seen him hasn't it, Mis-...Alex." Sabre said almost tripping up again. He stopped concentrating on it and already he was slipping back.

Alex nodded, a small laugh escaping her. She was happy that Sabre caught himself, Alex didn’t want to have to take dessert away from him. Weather he liked dessert or not, she thought Sabre should have a choice. “Uh-huh, he’s away on business a lot,” Alex said as she looked his way, her smile fading. His face had gone blank, did she say something wrong?

"What does he do, if I may ask? Is there anything I shold know before he comes? After all I'm quiet certain he's not going to be happy that you are home alone with a boy." Sabre asked looking at her smiling again. There was no use getting aggitated just yet. He'd hate to do something to get her introuble. He was just going to have to suck it up, stay calm, and not kill anyone.

Alex nodded, still watching his expression. Sure Sabre was smiling again but was it a mask just to make her happy? Or was the blank expression the mask? Alex wasn’t quite sure but there was something to worry about in what Sabre said. How to handle her father when he came home, he had a point. “He’s the president of a big chain of banks. It’s kinda a worldwide chain so he has a lot of business out of town much less country. And yeah, you’re right about that… Hopefully he’ll listen before he jumps to conclusions.” Alex said, looking up to the ceiling before she continued. "What do you want to know?"

"Everything. What's his personality like? What angers him? What does he like? Is there anything in particular that he always does when he's here? Things he likes to eat or drink when he's here? Things like that." Sabre asked. He wanted to make certain nothing bad would happen when Alex's father came. If he could keep everything else perfect, then maybe Alex would have a better chance at getting her father to open up to her. And it was Sabre's job to make everything perfect.

“Okay, let’s see…” Alex said with a nod, a small frown coming to her face. She was beginning to realize just how little she knew her father. “Well, he’s pretty quiet until he gets angry. And he usually only gets angry over the phone. Or when someone bothers him when he’s on an important call… when the door to the library is closed is when he’s on the phone. And…. You can tell when he doesn’t like something but is being nice about it because he’ll smile but it won’t reach his eyes. I call it his ‘business smile’ because he mostly does it over the phone. His tone will change too…” She said, beginning to struggle a little. Alex felt bad that she was running out of things, even worse that she didn’t know that much of her father. Sure he wasn’t around a lot but Alex figured she could’ve at least tried to learn more about him. “And… he goes out for a smoke after he gets done yelling on the phone,” She added, wrinkling her nose. “I hate cigarette smoke. And he usually eats really well when we have stake of some sort so I guess he’s a big meat eater. And he usually has just water to drink… Well, at the house anyways. I’m not sure what he drinks when he’s away…” Alex said, finishing up. She wasn’t exactly sure how alcohol smelled like but whatever sent that was on his clothes wasn’t any soda Alex has tried before.

Sabre sat listening as Alex explained. The man didn't seem like he'd be a plesant person to be around. It bothered him that his Mistress couldn't tell him alot about her father, but that was probably due to his lack of presence in this house. Frankly it pissed him off. "Thank you. At least I've got an idea as to what I can do to ease his time here. Maybe if I'm able to impress him enough he won't be as angry with you for leaving." Sabre said trying to keep the smile on his face. It wouldn't do any good to get agitated with a man who he'd never met, even if he already wanted to deck him.

Alex nodded, her ears going back a little. “Maybe… I just hope he gets a chance to call before he comes. You know, to kinda… warn him?” She said her nose wrinkling slightly at how it sounded and then shook her head, “No, wrong wording. To… break it to him I guess…” Alex then shrugged and hugged Sabre. “Thanks Sabre. For everything,” She said and her ears perked forward slightly at the sound of a door opening and closing, a pair of tiny but loud feet running across the floor. “Kitty?” A boy’s voice called and Alex rolled her eyes.

Sabre smiled at her and started to say something else before he stopped hearing the footsteps too. Looking over towards the door he was surprised to see the small boy. "Kitty?" Sabre questioned looking back at Alex as he tried not to laugh.

Alex stuck her tongue out at Sabre at the look on his face. “What? It’s not my fault he only calls me by my name when the neighborhood cat is around,” She explained as the boy runs over, a grin still on his face. His hair was short and blondish-brown like his mother’s, but unlike Amy’s dark blue eyes he had chocolate-y brown eyes. The boy stopped beside the two and said as he pointed his thumb to himself, “Hi. I’m David. And I’m this many-“ David then held up four fingers and two thumbs to show how old he was.

Sabre chuckled at Alex's reaction. He wondered how often she was called that. As the boy came over he turned his attention to the boy. "You're six? Wow, you're pratically a man, aren't you?" Sabre said smiling at him. The boy looked like his mother, and hopefully he hadn't inherited her temper.

David wrinkled his nose and shook his head. “Bleack, and do all that grown-up work? No way,” He said, nose still turned up. Alex laughed at that, turning towards them both. “David, this is my friend Sabre,” She said, still trying to fight the laughter. “Sa-Sa,” David started, trying to sound out the blonds’ name. He frowned, “Sabre?” The boy nodded and looked to Sabre, continuing, “Will you be my friend too?”

Sabre smiled as the boy showed his extreme disintrest in the adult world. It was funny, and alot like how he was when he was little. The grin got wider as he tried to pronouce his name, everyone under the age of 10 seemed to have trouble with it. "Your friend? Hm....I don't know. Will you help me look after Alex? And be a good boy?" Sabre asked the smile still on his face even though it had taken on a false questioning look.

“Look after kitty?” David said, a confused look coming to surface. “But isn’t she a big girl now? Why do you have to look after her? And I’m a good boy anyways, just ask my dad.” He finished, leaving out asking his mom. After all, with Amy as a mom she was pretty strict with her rules. David’s father on the other hand was all play and no work. Well, at least to David he was. Alex was half temped to send a pretty big splash Sabre’s way for that, ‘look after Alex’ comment. She didn’t consider herself that much of a child or hassle.

"Nevermind. Yes I'll be your friend." Sabre said chuckling at the boy's confused reaction. David really did seem like a good boy and Sabre could help but smile around him. "So your dad would say your a good boy, but what about your mom huh?"
