Roran calmly walked into the room, going to the front desk. "Oi!" he cried, getting the nurse's attention. "Mah ongue is bweeding!" The nurse looked shocked at the blood, grabbing him by the arm and pulling him to a bed, telling him to sit as she gave him a towel to hold over his tongue as she went to get the doctor. "Wonderful," he muttered, muffled by the towel. Seeing Nico, she looked a little stressed. Leave her alone, He told himself, keeping quiet.

As one song came up, Nico frustratedly disconnected the hologram, sitting up before yelping in pain and falling back down. She muttered curses under her breath, the data pad saving where she was at in the book. Hearing voices, she tentatively leaned her head up, her lower back and shoulder throbbing painfully. Who...? Moving her good arm, she sat her bed up, ignoring a look a passing nurse gave her. Sure, she should be sleeping. But there was no telling what might happen then.

Blinking, she saw it was Roran, holding a towel to his mouth. What in the world had he done? She heard that cackle again, her head whipping to the left, hearing a voice follow the cackle. Something about being a disappointment. Grimacing, she ignored it, again blinking as she saw a team whiz past to take care of an erratic beeping in the distance. She didn't want to think about what was causing that sound, focusing upon her other team mate.

Taking a deep breath, she ignored her other concerns and focused upon Roran. "Do I want to know what happened? Was it a fierce fight with some rebellious snacks?" She called with a faint smile, knowing as a leader she should always check and speak with her team mates, and friends. Well, at least those who were.... She briefly thought of Amaya, and sighed. In retrospect, she supposed she couldn't blame her for hating her so. She was only the daughter of two brilliant minds in Dreamer's, the people who ruined her life.

Hearing Nico, he ignored her as the doctor came over and sighed. Suddenly finding himself in a lecture about how he was perfectly fine, he sighed. He had come in due to the fact that the bleeding wasn't stopping, that's all. The doctor forcibly removed the towel, the bleeding having stopped at some point, and then walked away. Sighing, he stayed sitting on the bed, looking over at Nico. "And why should I trouble someone so beautiful with my problems?" he asked, smiling softly himself, his inner flirt revealing itself, though he really wasn't all too interested. Looking down at the floor now, he sighed gently, "I ran into a wall," he knew she wanted the answer, even without her needing to object to the previous comment. "I was too bored in my room, so I walked around the halls...which were boring too, so I was examining the ceiling...and then WHAM!" He clapped his hands, chuckling a little. No reason to get embarrassed. Looking back at her, he smirked a little. "You feeling any better?"

Jane scowled as the nurse insisted he lay down. "I'm perfectly fine. I want to spar-" He was cut off by her giving him some medicine to get him to sleep. Apparently they were worried about him being up for so long due to his blood loss.

In his sleep, he muttered a few things at different times. "Uncle" was the first to be heard. "Father" was next. And finally, there was "Nico".

Nico relaxed as the doctor went over to her team mate, glancing in the direction of Jane's voice as she heard him protesting. It made her smirk that even then he wanted to spar. Not like he could move though really. She mused to herself, glancing down to her datapad as she got a message, her fingers sliding above the surface, eyes scanning the words there. Her jaw tightened in the slightest, looking up again as Roran spoke. What he said made her smirk, chuckling with a slight wince. "Oh because I'm concerned for both my team mates and friends." She answered, tilting her head at his real answer. A wall? It was almost amusing. Or well, it would have been if she didn't start feeling the pain killers kicking in and messing with her head.

"Ah boredom. It is rather horrid while we wait between missions. Especially if we're injured. Like Jane over there." She nodded in his direction, the smirk rising back up to her lips. "I think everyone's walked into a wall before. I know I've run into them on occasion when I was younger and chasing after my brother." She smiled, chuckling a little.

Sighing lightly, she ran her hand through her hair, brushing her bangs aside. "Yeah, a bit. Still wish I could move around though. I loathe hospitals." She laughed a little, glancing around before mocking a thoughtful expression. "The decor is so very drab. Not like the facilities any better though. Least we got a garden here." She joked, her smirk widening.

Roran layed down in the bed, his hands resting under his head, one knee in the air. Looking at the ceiling, he was listening still. We have a garden? "How can you hate hospitals? Sure, they have an eerie feeling about them, and yes they smell like..." there is nothing else that smells that way, and he realized it now, "Er...well, they have the funky smell. The point is that even with all that, they are still a place to heal and rest. It's sort of soothing." Closing his eyes, his breathing softened. Even if the convorsation didn't continue, he'd stick around. It was better than walking into more walls.

Nico fell quiet at his question, listening to his answer while trying to formulate one of her own. Honesty was always the best choice but.... She felt that clenching in her heart, glancing over to the rhythmic beeping of a distant bed. She did chuckle though at the mention of the smell. Oh sod it. "Personal reasons so to speak. I don't have fond memories of such places. I'm sure they can be soothing in some way, but I find them..." She looked around at her surroundings again, pondering the best word. "Hmm..... I guess a good word would be dark." She answered, and it wasn't a lie. Though it wasn't the whole truth either.

She glanced back down to the message on her datapad, her thoughts lingering on the words. She typed up a quick reply, her ear perking up as she heard the familiar clink of her rapier, perking up a bit. "Ah well, to each their own. What of you if I may inquire? Any places you particularly loathe?" She asked, sending the message before placing the datapad aside. She grinned and thanked the nurse for bringing her things, immediately going to work on her rapier. She checked it's edges, made sure there was no build-up near the hilt. Her expression seemed to soften as she worked with her weapons, her hands pausing for a brief moment as she heard that cackle again. "What of your other instrument? Learn girl.... You shall learn...." She heard the voice in her head, moving onto sharpening the edges of her blade in the slightest. Though she did look over to the body of her team mate, tilting her head at her question.

Jane tossed in his drug induced sleep. His mutterings continued; slowly they began to be rather loud. Again he said "Uncle" then "Father" then "Nico". They were easily heard throughout the medical wing. Gradually, his sleep became oddly chaotic in the way he was moving within the bed. It seemed he was going to reopen a wound if he kept at it.

Nico paused again amidst cleaning her rapier before setting it aside to move onto her daggers. Why was Jane saying her name? She saw a couple of nurses go over to him to try to calm his sleep so he wouldn't harm himself more, her gaze following them for a moment. A possibility struck her and she blushed faintly, the color more striking against her pale skin.

She had held no such thoughts about anyone here, nor feelings. She hoped this would not become an issue later though she feared it may. Looking away, she thought she saw the movement again, her grimace growing in her discomfort. God she hated hospitals. She noticed the nurses move away again, assuming that they must have restrained Jane or calmed him somehow. He won't be doing much fighting any time soon if he keeps up like that.

Jane was woken due to the stressful sleep patterns though it was obvious that some nurses were uneasy about him staying awake so early. He sat himself up, ignoring the pain to do so. It seemed that all the nurses were busy trying to figure out a way to get him to sleep easy, so busy that they didn't notice him attempting to stand up.

He didn't like feeling defenseless. He had to do something. As soon as he managed to sit up fully, he swung his legs over so that they hung off the bed, as if he were about to stand up.

"Jane!" A nurse cried, immediately moving forward to stop him from getting up. She could see his wounds were beginning to reopen, a monitor beeping loudly. The other two came forward to aid her, doing their best to try to get him to lay back down. "Please, it's not wise to move around yet. You will bleed out at this rate."

Nico narrowed her eyes at the noise, her hands tightening on her weapons as she could only guess what was going on. Bakahashinanakyoranai. She would have thought patience would have won out in Jane's case, but apparently he wished to be a fool. Though she hated it, she remembered a lesson she learned when she was young and instead did nothing. Perhaps he would realize his error on his own. To move while injuries were healing, especially those of his nature, would only make them take longer to heal. It was counter productive, impractical, and idiotic. Still, one had to learn the hard way she supposed.

Jane looked at the nurses curiously, before looking down at himself again. "When?" He laid back down, completely confused. What? No idea what was going on. None at all. He allowed them to have him lay back down although he was frowning at this point. Had he forgotten something? Had blood loss affected his memory? He remembered talking to Nico about his uncle and father, sitting in a wheelchair...right. That explained it. He obediently laid there, wishing he could do something. "Sorry." He muttered, looking at the ceiling. "Can I at least have my rapier, then?"

The nurses looked at each other for a moment before hesitantly going to get his rapier. They realized that it might keep Jane in bed. It was handed to him and he reexamined it, he reexamined it closer than he'd ever examined something before.

Roran thought about her question. He knew what he feared. Staying quiet as Jane's roars could be heard throughout the base, he ignored the boy's calls. When things had quieted down, he let out a very soft sigh. "I suppose I'm afraid of crowds. As an energy bender I can sense all living things around me. When I get into crowded places, and I mean really crowded, it gets hard to focus on any one thing...it feels like I'm going to burst from all the life force." Looking over at the girl, he eyed her weaponry carefully.

Soon Nico was done with her daggers, her eyes moving up to Roran as she paused before moving to her guns. She wouldn't quite disassemble them just yet. Her finished weapons lay carefully set aside on her table, tilting her head a bit, hearing him perfectly fine though he had grown quieter. Of course. She should have figured as much. She smiled very faintly, a hint of understanding in her eyes. Though it was because she remembered how some people had responded to her knowing she was a "witch." His case was far worse than she could ever imagine. She wondered what it was like to be able to sense others so and end up overloaded.

"I bet. Whenever I have to pull out my staff, I always have to come up with an unpleasant memory, and sometimes I end up sensing the darkness within those around me at the time. It can be hard to pull away from it. I can't imagine such a pressure though." She said softly, now lowering her eyes to her two main pistols, looking at the inlay fondly. With that, her fingers moved quickly and deftly, taking apart the two weapons with ease, very careful she did not lose a single piece. She was glad they had brought her a second table otherwise this would be difficult. "I wonder if Jane has a similar problem except with peoples emotions and his own. Or Ayame with everyone's thoughts. My own troubles with my powers seem so much lesser." She murmured thoughtfully, her hands slowing as she thought this over.

Watching her mess with her guns, he was in a bit of a daze, paying attention but not paying attention. When she brought up Jane he sighed, pitying the boy. "I'm sure he does have such a problem. Feeling people's true emotions is to know them better than they know themselves. I'm sure he gets very conflicted."
