"Enough to get away with what I didn't finish... I fell asleep somewhere between Beijing and Shanghai. No biggie, I have a study hall," Penny led the way to the garage.

"Which one's yours?" Matt looked at the line of cars.

"Nothing special. I have no dough of my own and Daddy Warbucks decided to mock me and get me a small a** Malibu Maxx... Max gets me where I need to go... but I can't complain. It's the nicest thing the a** has done for me since I was born," Penny clicked her keyless entry controller.

"Your dad's loaded?" Morgan asked.

Penny nodded, "Yea, owns a marketing firm. I won't be seeing any of it though. He's a grand ol' mutie hater... never knew my mom was a mutant and I respected her too much to tell him after she died. Only got me a car to get me out of his sight... Besides, money isn't all it's cracked up to be."

Penny threw her back into the hatchback trunk of the car. Kitty came up and threw her bags in as well.

"Hey Kat, you going to join the student council like you were thinking of?" Penny asked adjusting the rear view mirror. The bubbley girl bounced into the back seat.

Kitty nodded, "I think I may. I don't want to be President, though. Maybe a Vice or Secretary. Besides, Pietro seems to have it in the bag after the publicity he's gotten."

Penny shrugged, "Boys like cute chicks, you might get the votes."

ooc: First, lol. I bought the cloak and they bring out Gaia housing a few hours later.. sweatdrop

I gotta get going quickly but I will post in a few hours properly!

OOC: Heh, yea, Penny isn't exactly proper with what she calls folks if that hasn't been apparent wink I'll try to get access to the professor for you Rhythm and post as him.

IC:

"Oh course, Jamie, throw your stuff in the back and hop in," Penny popped the trunk and Jamie did accordingly. She looked in her rearview mirror as Jamie and Kitty slid in. Rogue ran up to the car and slid in making the last spot.

"Looks like everybody gets else get to go with Vincent or Summers... fun times," Penny turned the car on and left the garage.

Despite her better senses, Penny actually drove the speed limit. With herself in the car, she was crazy for some, but she knew her responsibilities when others were around her.

"Oh hey, my ears tell me that we're going to be going on a field trip soon," Penny look a turn out of the Institute grounds and headed towards Bayville high.

"And how did your ears tell you that?" Rogue asked smirking. She knew the answer.

"Standing outside Xavier's office, you heard a lot of things. Word has it we're going down to Antarctica," She smiled.

"Antartica?!" Jamie exclaimed, "What kind of field trip is that?"

"Would you believe me if I told you there was a tropical place in Antarctica called the Savage Land? Ororo told me about it once. I don't remember how it got to be, but it's supposedly there," Penny said.

"Savage Land, eh? Doesn't sound too inviting," Morgan chimes in. "I mean, Savage Land? Last time I checked, savage was not a good thing," he adds, smirking slightly.

ooc: Meh, I got lost somwhere amongst all those posts so I'm at school one way or another!


Matt walked through one of the many corridors of the high school, heading towards his locker. He had thrown his timetable in their yesterday when he had finally got the thing open and wasn't even sure where he was supposed to be at the moment.

"I'm in a school building that I don't have to be in at the moment." He sighed and turned around, slamming into the locker with his back to shut it before looking up at the cieling and sighing. This was going to be one long day that he just didn't feel like going through.

The problem with being new to a school was the lessons, he had only tried getting a place here to fit in better with anyone that saw him. Lies were better created if they had some truth in them. Now that he had registered for the school he had very few lessons to actually take, too long away from school and not enough teaching while he was enrolled before.

"This isn't working out too well."

"I get to school on time only to find out I have no lessons for the next two hours...they want me to work on homework and stuff I guess but since I fell asleep through one of my lessons and sk..missed most of the others I get to walk around the building I suppose."

He had stopped already and was listening to a lot of what was being said around him. Godzilla?...right.

"Anyway, I guess you get to go have fun listening to a mid fourties, gray haired teacher now?"

Matt stood their for a few moments, frowning slightly as he thought about it.
"Sure, just don't blow anything up and I'll try to understand what's going on." Nodding half to himself he shoved his hands into the pockets of his coat and was just about to walk away when he realised two things, the first being he didn't actually remember the way to the science lab he had been in yesterday and there was no way to be sure if it was the same room or not, and the other being; "Hank McCoy? The name kinda sounds familiar but..who is he?"

"I got 'catch up science', gonna check out this Hank guy and see what Penny's up to with this mercury experiment..and hope I don't get lost during the process."

Nodding slightly to himself he half tilted his head.

"What 'bout you Morgan, what you got?"
