Kay Georgiy
Just have to keep walking. Just have to keep walking. Just have ******** this.

Finding the stairs back up was turning into one major hassle. Having followed the passages round hundreds of corners and passing many hope shattering doors, Kay and Nue were duly pissed. Finally having an idea that was so obvious she felt like kicking herself, Kay pulled Nue into a room filled with desks and chairs. "As simple as this sounds, can you help me make a pile out of these desks that nearly reaches the ceiling. I can get up through it easily." A quick nod of Nue's head and a soft noise of acknowledgement, she moved to the opposite side of the first desk. With a heave, they slowly moved it next to another and moved to the next desk. Slow work, but it would get the job done. Eventually.

James the careful guard

With a skill that had so far been unseen in the ranks of the guards, the one waiting down the hall from the two girls outside the weapons room was cautious. Keeping at least a wall between himself and the immortals, he checked the small mirror that was attached to the end of his barrel he had poked round the corner. Still only two of them. That was good. Several days ago, he had requested access to the research on the magic nullifiers. With the help of a few spare scientists, he had incorporated the tech into the rounds that were loaded into his rifle. Although he didn't know what they would do, he knew for a fact that they would do just about the same damage as a normal bullet would do. Another quick look in the small mirror to confirm their positions and he spun round the corner. Aiming like he had been ordered and paid to do so, he aimed for their limbs. A kneecap could easily explode under the impact of a bullet with little blood. At the one with water flowing round her arms was more in the open, he instead went for the more hidden one with the bow first. Swiftly firing at her arms, he immediately switched targets to the one with the water, firing at her legs in hope of catching a knee. Four shots, two each and he spun back around the corner out of their views. The mirror again poked round the corner to see what he had done to the two girls. In the best scenario, he would take out the girls and more guards would come due to the gunfire.

((I expect wounds at least. Doesn't have to be big ones but I still expect wounds. Possible effects of the magic bullets can include nausea, headaches, disorientation or power fluctuations. And no rushing the corner and killing the guard. He's my Npc and if you try, you just get shot in the gut.))

Jayna heard the sound of a gun being primed and was instantly on guard, not that she wasn't already. When the shots rang out, she leapt at Kaileigh to pull her out of the open. "Kaileigh, get down!" One of the shots that were aimed at Jayna missed her completely, but the other skimmed her arm. Her breath hissed out between clenched teeth, and she shot a single arrow in the direction the bullets had come from. She wasn't aiming to kill, just to distract long enough to get out of firing range. She grabbed Kaileigh's arm and pulled her back toward the doorway, falling backward back into the weapons stockroom.

(Can reactions to the bullets be late reactions?)

( this will be my last post i'll be back on Gaia weds. Im busy tomorrow, sorry if its short i have a slight writer's block and i need to get to sleep.)

Freyja looked in the direction of the doorway without any reaction. She looked at Jayna curiously " Are you ok?" she asked. She didn't know where the bullet came from but she could feel that this person was definitely a skilled marksman. She tried to not let herself get scared. It made her sleepy to be scared sometimes. Even she didn't understand that. The truth she now knew was that someone had been following them the whole time.

Jayna's arm was bleeding, and she tried to staunch the flow with her hand. "I'm fine," she said, clenching her teeth to keep from letting out the scream of pain that was building up in the back of her throat, "It just grazed me. Got any bandages, anyone?"

Lt. Jansen Cygnar ”Fear monger”
Finaly, some action... *Evil smirk*

Concentrating on the area around him Jansen imagined breathing in sharply and caused the field to move to minuscule proportions.
"Well Success I believe, Well partial at least. I had planned on getting everyone in here." Jansen commented after the computer seemingly fizzled out. It would have been even worse if the needle had taken any longer, shrinking the field took up 5 times the concentration than expanding.
It was at this moment that the shots rang out and Jayna came crashing through the door. He grabbed the first gun that came to hand, a small semi automatic pistol with sighted barrel.
"Perfect Jayna Kaileigh! Get away from the door!" He ordered whilst taking up position behind the door frame. For once the guards hadn't just rushed in, this one had some brains... Now to out match them! Jansen scanned the weapons room, surely by them just being in the room they had an enormous advantage in firepower, but the guard had the location. He scanned around once more, looking for something reflective, this time Jansen found something.
"Barry, smash the computer up, I want to use some of its screen... Make it a large bit." He looked down at his feet where the girls were, just outside his field, Jayna was injured and as far as he could tell Kaileigh wasn't, but first looks could never tell.
"Are you both ok?"

Jayna backed farther into the room. Her arm was starting to stop bleeding, but not much. "I think I'm fine. The bullet only grazed my arm." She stood up then teetered and almost fell, catching herself on a crate of ammunition nearby. "Whoa. Not good. I didn't lose that much blood. I shouldn't be dizzy."

Kaileigh quickly looked for the person shooting as the gun shots rang out. She caught only a little of him as he was quickly gone after firing. She heard Jayna yell for her to get down and pull at her making her body move so that one bullet went into her lower thigh on the inside and the other grazed past the outside of her other thigh. Kaileigh shot water out in the dircetion that the guard had come as she fall back into the room with Jayna. Kaileigh moved back farther from the door way as Jansen came forward to the door. She clamped one hand over her mouth to stop from making an noise as she looked down at her legs. She relaxed a little as she found that she could see move her toes on her feet meaning that the one bullet that had gone in hadn't hit anything to important as fair as she could tell. Thank goodness, she thought. "I'll be fine the bullet didn't hit any nerves," said Kaileigh. The remaining water on her arms splashed to the ground in puddles. Her eyes went wide staring at it. Oh my, she thought as she stared. She looked back at leg with the hole in it. Surely it couldn't have anything to- Then the water quickly gathered around her again like nothing had happened. "Maybe not," she said

Barry & Simon
Battle stations. Code yellow. Actually, make that code brown...

Instictually ducking at the sharp sound of gunfire, Barry soon stepped back up to his full height, eyes closed to probe around the corner for metals. Finding a patch of static in his search, he assumed that the guard was using the magic nullifier to it's fullest. "There's no way to attack him with our powers. Just tried, doesn't work." Hearing Jansen call out his name, Barry looked at him to hear the request, then turned to Simon. "You get something for Jayna. I'll help Jansen with the gunner." Nodding to his brother, Simon moved to his bag that he had removed when they had first arrived in the room. Rummaging around quickly, he took out a small sealed needle and a roll of bandages.

Barry moved in the other direction, and picked up the useless computer. Using the metals inside the machine, he smashed the screen at one corner and removed a piece roughly the size of his hand. With a call to Jansen he threw it the short distnce through the field to him. Simon by this point was ready to work on Jayna. "Now hold still and don't worry. It's only an antiseptic that's in the syringe. It'll keep any infections at bay." Tearing the packet open, he carfully placed the tip of the needle just above the shallow wound. Half a centimeter deep at the most, but it would be stinging like ********. With a motion that was only slightly jerky and seemed practiced, Simon pressed the needle into Jayna's arm. Done in a second, he threw it over a few boxes into the corner of the room, out of everyones way. Holding her arm steady, he wound the bandages tightly enough to keep any blood from escaping, but loosly enough that they wouldn't hamper the blood flow. The whole process took a minute at the most.

Once he was done, he moved over to Kaileigh. Lowering her to the floor as gently as he could, he repeated the process for grazed part of her thigh. The problem came in the shape of the other wound. "Oh, s**t. Not good. The bullet is still in your leg. I think that I could remove it, but I'm not so sure that I could do it without making a much bigger mess of your leg." The bullet in her leg had suffered some damage to it's nullifier parts when it had been shot. It was however flickering on and off continually making a field about a meter wide in radius. Not good news for Kailiegh.

Kaileigh sucked in a tight breath at the antiseptic as Simon worked one grazed thigh. She knew before Simon said anything that the bullet in her leg was a problem. The way the water kept falling and gathering again had already told her. When it gathered again she pushed it away from her making it fall to the floor off in a distance out of the way corner of the room. With that no longer able to distract her she looked over at Simon and what he was saying. She sighed this wasn't good, "What type of mess are we talking about? Like making it useless?" she asked worriedly. She could feel a water pipe below the pushing it to exploded at her distress. She closed her eyes trying to concetrate so that wouldn't happen.

Barry & Simon
Now it's code red.

Simon grimaced at the state she was in. Shifting slightly as the water splashed from her arms, Simon looked her in the eyes with a grim seriousness. "Oh, not so much useless as infected and rotting before you have to get it cut off. That kind of mess. I'd be happy if I could remove it safely, but I'm not sure that I could do it. As for these side effects, I'm not sure if they're caused by the shock that the bullets causing, or if it's caused by something else." With a tap on his shoulder, he looked up to find Barry standing next to him. He was concentrating on something, but Simon wasn't sure what. Barry had already noticed the pipes below the floor bending in a strange way. A quick scan with his power made him realize, they were all bending towards Kailiegh. With a steady pace to his voice, Barry spoke up. "The situation has just gone from bad to worse. Kaileigh, I'm sure you can feel the water in the pipes below us. It's being dragged towards you. As for the bullet, I can't remove it with my power either. It seems to have the same properties as the guards armor. It rejects my attempts to drag it out. I can keep the pipes from blowing, but only just. Simon, I think your going to have to try. Unless that bullet comes out of her, I think her pull will just get stronger." Sitting down a small way off, Barry directed the rest of his concentration at the pipes, keeping them from erupting and surrounding Kaileigh. It most likely wouldn't be fatal for the water user, but it would most likely kill the rest of them. Simon looked at her with a look of worry for her and fear that he wouldn't be able to do it right. "Your leg, your choice. Do you want me to try? I can't guarantee that you will be able to walk straight away, but I think I can save your ability to use it. No promises though." It wasn't so much confidence in his abilities, more confidence in his adaptability in his skills.

Kaileigh thought for a moment feeling the water below. She laid back, her back on the floor now. "Go for it," said Kaileigh trying to relax so that maybe the pull wouldn't be as bad cause she knew it would get worse if this kept up. "Barry's right. The pipes below are bending from the water in them trying to get to me. It's defensive so it'll just get worse so please try."

Jayna winced at he needle. She hated needles. "Thanks, Barry." She watched him work on Kaileigh's leg, but the metallic smell of so much blood added to the affects of the bullet she'd been hit with, and she almost vomited. She sat on the crate she'd steadied herself on and put her head between her knees. "Ugh, how long is this gonna last?" she groaned.

Freyja looked around her and only saw chaos she stepped close to Barry " Umm will my gravity powers be of any use here? I really hate to stand back and just watch." She said if there was one thing she hated it was doing nothing and not trying to help. Her skin on her neck was getting prickly again there was too much metal in this place. She looked around again and could feel her powers building up. She knew there had to be something she could do.

Lt. Jansen Cygnar ”Fear monger”
Come on then, lets see you fight with no 'eyes'

Catching the piece of screen Jansen gave it a light polish so he could use it to gaze down the corridor to where the troublesome guard was hiding. He was hoping to catch him out, as the guard didn't know that he was in possession of a working pistol. He stuck the reflective glass just around the door frame.
"I cannot see him, he must still be around the far corner. All I can see is a light reflection from his.. wait." He said quietly before spinning around the frame and let off 3 shots down the corridor towards the mirror. If Jansen could take out his vision he would HAVE to come around the corner to get a good shot and this would give Jansen a heavy advantage. After all, no matter how good a marksman this guard was, he could not beat centuries of experience in the armed forces...
