I heard the new album was coming out in June. Does anybody know if that's true? (I heard it on Quizilla-you can see how reliable that is.) But Billie Joe said 2008 in an interview.
Anyhow, Green Day rocks and whenever they're next album comes out is going to be a great day. biggrin

From Sputnik: Billie Joe Armstrong and the boys from Green Day are currently writing material for the follow-up to 2004's monster American Idiot.
In recent weeks, the singer's been throwing out hints about a possible three-album set to be released in Summer 2008, a full four years on from their last effort. Speaking to MTV, Armstrong revealed: "At this point, to put a record out with like 12 songs on it and turn it in sounds a bit boring for us.
"So we want to definitely make something that is well thought out and [that] all of our blood is put into. The next album are going to be more than an event of a new record."
Green Day's next appearance on record is set to be their recording of John Lennon's 'Working Class Hero' for the tribute CD Instant Karma: The Campaign To Save Darfur, the proceeds of which will go to famine relief in war-torn Sudan. The track will also be released as a single to promote the album. biggrin

I have a question for all those who say 'old green day' or 'new green day' where do you draw the line between old and new? Like what album?

Water I have a question for all those who say 'old green day' or 'new green day' where do you draw the line between old and new? Like what album? For me, it's probably between Shenanigans and American Idiot. I mean, compare the two CDs... they're pretty different.
