  READY... SET... GO!
have mercy and from below… adventuremeti
From Below stopped his hooves in anticipation, looking up at the challenge in front of him with glowing eyes. He peered through the ominously knotted trees and grinned. When he had tagged along on his father’s hunting trips a lot and he remembered the day that their wanderings had brought them past this stop. Kindness had told him that he was not to go exploring there.
“Your mother would kill me.” He explained nonchalantly. Of course this had only fanned the spark of From’s interest and he couldn’t resist trying to take a peak over the rocky hill. But his father and caught him, dragged him back home and refused to take him out for a few days. The next time they had gone hunting he showed his son how to trap toadrats with hollow logs and the young buck had forgotten all about the taboo place.
And now he was back, eager to see what all the drama was about. He knew a couple of kimeti who lived in the area, they told him that nobody was stupid enough to travel through there. The hillside was covered with thorny plants that snared in your fur and the weeds grew so high they obscured your view. An underground creek had been chewing away at the inside of the hill for so long that it was practically hollow and the ground has caved in in places or gotten so thin it could give way under a songbird’s weight. All kinds of pesky creatures had taken up residence there, but the worse were the poisonous snakes. And if that wasn’t had enough, it was a steep climb.
“Nobody is stupid enough to go that way.” They had told him. From had just smiled and nodded.
