This will sound silly, but it's killing me.
When making my character I probably came off more than once as annoying and stubborn, I just want to apologize.
Since this wasn't technically a question, I'll ask this: what would the staff do if they were stuck in an island with George Clooney and a rubber duck?
Shazari: Are we all stuck on the island with George Clooney, or just me?
Cuter: I would probably ask Mr. Clooney where he found his rubber duck. Or take his while Shaz keeps him preoccupied. Whatever works.
Oh, noes! The rubber duck is actually a mermaid! She sings and kills you with her mighty crescendo, go back to page 147.

And now a more serious question that I got an answer to but think might help people intending to go for corrupted senshi!
I've noticed that the current corrupted senshi have each been assigned to what has been ICly called a 'handler'--Tisiphone has Serandite, Nova had Tanzanite, Vivianite has Uranophane. Are new corrupted senshi required to be attached to an officer in this fashion, or are they allowed to simply float between Negaversers and not have a usual working partner at all?
rosemilk: Beryl will probably attach the Negaversers to new 'units' with captains, and if they have a handler they'll have a handler in that unit. If you've got a preference towards a specific ' handler', you might PM Cuter about it.

Can senshi cells have no signal/reception? Or is there a magical signal that prevents this?
(Also, I literally LOL'd when I read Cuter's post about Nessy and her cage. Thank-you.)
rosemilk: There's always the chance that they'll conk out, but they've been mangled so that there's much less chance of this happening! Try not to use your cell on top of a mountain.

Asahi Kumoru Going along with this question, if I had two of my own characters meet and wrote a solo with this interaction of 900 words, would that be eligible to count as a solo for both characters? (What about if it was only 450, for curiosity's sake?) codalion: Hmm. My call there would be no, because otherwise there'd then be no reason people couldn't write 900-word solos about one character and have it count as two solos. Which is a reasonable question, but not our current policy.Sorry, I'm a bit confused by this: do you mean that if I write a solo story of some kind involving two or more of my characters -- word count aside, it can only count towards the solo story tally for ONE of them in growth reqs? What about if I include multiple characters of mine in a battle or reg with more than one player, do I have to pick which of my characters gets growth points for it? Shazari: This is very much a judgment call, and we ask you to exercise your common sense and the honor system here: you should count a story for a character if they have a significant, active stake in participating in a story. For example, let's say Coda writes a 2,000-word solo story where Dylan goes back to Meadowview for a film project, shoots (WITH A CAMERA, A CAMERA) various students going about their studently activities, and in the course of this, one of the people he runs into is Mr. Gordon, who asks him if he has a hall pass, sees that he doesn't, and tells him to skedaddle before he calls Principal Johannsen. Dylan skedaddles, hides behind a tree for a while, then films some footage of a caterpillar spinning its cocoon, and is overcome by the impact of a valuable lesson about time, growth, and coming of age. I'm not sure this would make a very good solo story, but I digress. This SHOULD count as a solo story for Dylan; it SHOULD NOT count as a solo story for Ray, who ultimately did nothing more than put in a small cameo in a story that was ultimately about Dylan. Sneaking your characters into each others' stories in order to breeze through your growth requirements is -- well, it's kind of cheating, and we aim to keep things fair for people no matter how many or few characters they have. If both characters have a substantial role in the story, and both characters have at least 450 words each in the story that seem to be 'about' that character, then you can count it for both characters; otherwise, it only counts for the character it's really about.
I hope that helps!

A question more for the artists: Is it alright to have hairstyles change between stages?
Say, for example, your character has ringlet curls since it's a cute high school style. But they're going to have a more sophisticated style when they graduate, would that reflect in their powered selves as well?
Shazari: Yep, so long as it's nothing crazy, hairstyle changes are fine. Thuban's hair is a bit different at Super stage, as he's been wearing it a little longer and loose these days -- Natsu was happy to oblige my request. <3

If you get wet or dirty while you're henshined up/powered up will you still be wet/dirty when you henshin/power down?
codalion: Depends on the degree. If you spatter a little bit of water on your sleeve that probably won't carry over, but if you fall into the river unfortunately you are most likely not getting magically dried off. A good rule of thumb is "does the effect touch your body under the clothing?"
Also, do fukus/Negaverse uniforms clean themselves each time you henshin/power down?
codalion: And patch themselves up, too! It's damn nifty and superheroing would be damn hard without it, as how else are you supposed to get Gene to hold still long enough to stencil a unicorn onto his uniform with rainbow gel pens.
Shazari: Admittedly, Gene loves unicorns.

Okay I don't think this has been asked, if it has feel free to brick me.
Lets say Sailor X has an attack that would be best talked about when it covers a radius of ground. And say that we know/think that a 1 and 1/2 ~3 maybe 4 foot radius with an enemy in the middle of it is too small and the enemy would/could jump out and the attack would be a wasted effort.
What would be a kosher, so to speak, radius for the senshi's attack to cover?
Could Sailor X have an attack radius that covered 6 feet? 10 feet? (taking into consideration that the enemy would be the middle of the attack radius, and friends/Sailor X could be in the outskirts of said attack, depending on how far away they were from the Enemy)
What about Super Sailor X, and Eternal Sailor X? Or is there even a set possible radius.
Or would it be easier to measure an attack in diameter? (Sorry I think I broke into math questions. >>;; wink
*edit* Hahh and I wrote the attack in question in diameters. Fixed so that it kinda reflected the Radius instead of diameter *bricked*
codalion: It's not an exact science! This depends on the actual effect and duration of the attack -- for example, say Sailor Itchia, Senshi of Itching, used Itchia Itchy Cloud, which caused everyone within the range of the area attack to develop irritating itches in odd places. On the other hand, if Sailor Myopia, Senshi of Blindness used Myopia Blinding Blast which blinded everyone within range, that would be much more powerful and, therefore, need to have a much smaller range than Itchia Itchy Cloud. We can't put down any hard limits because it varies so much from sphere to sphere and attack to attack what's fair. Our critters do their best to try and weigh quested senshi's attacks against those of existing characters their level in the shop.

Out of curiousity how many time can a starting out senshi use their starter attack?
I'm a little confused as I think that I've read that they can use it once, twice at a push (and only if they want to pretty much 'conk themselves out'), but I've seen some senshi who can use their starter attack up to three times.
rosemilk: Again, this differs from senshi to senshi -- a weaker attack could be used more, a stronger attack might be used far less or even only once per battle. There's no hard and fast rule. Read above for Coda's talks about power evening-out.
Thanks for clearing that up for me smile

Where do youma come from? Are they just created out of nowhere? Or do they have some spot in the Nagaverse sub-space place (I forget the actual name) where they hang out until they're summoned?
Shazari: This one will actually be revealed in-game. <3
Can Lieutenants go to the sub-space whenever they want, or do they have to be summoned there by Charonite?
Shazari: Nominally, once a Negaverser gains teleportation abilities, they can enter the subspace whenever they want; thus, a Lieutenant can only go there when summoned/assisted.
If a Lieutenants weapon breaks does it reappear fixed and whole the next time they power up?
Shazari: I believe Prophet fielded this one before -- in most cases, yes. If it was broken via some especially powerful/permanent senshi attack power, then in that case, it might not. The latter is generally something that would be worked out on a case-by-case basis, depending on player wants and what makes the most sense.

(If any of these were asked before, forgive me)
What would happen if a Sailor scout attempted to remove a starseed from a negaverse officer? Would they be repelled by the corruption or would it act like any other starseed?
codalion: Someone else feel free to check me before I wreck me, but sailor scouts can't remove starseeds from people's bodies -- just, like any other person, put them back in.
Shazari: 100% agree.
What would happen if a scout started EATING starseeds? Is that just impossible being a scout? Would they be hunted down for it?
codalion: As I said before, I'm not sure where they would GET these starseeds, but if they did, they'd probably be like attempting to eat little lumpy bits of lead. Also their comrades would kindly commit them and shake their heads. Tragic are the casualties of mental illness. Woe.
How long do starseeds last outside the body? Do they act like stones, non vanishing? Or does the power wane and they vanish over time, (like a rechargeable battery).
Shazari: It varies from starseed to starseed -- but if unused, and not placed in 'stasis' in some way, eventually all starseeds will dim and vanish over time, returning to the Space Cauldron to begin their life cycles anew.
Could Helios go into the dreams of negaverse officers, could she eventually find her way into BERYL'S dreams?
codalion: To a certain extent Helios can go into anyone's dreams. The less she knows the person, however, the more limited this is.
Are certain people 'bound' as in 'soulmates' via starseed/souls ect? (I mean, the average person just not Endymion and Serenity).
codalion: Who says Endymion and Serenity are soulmates?
Due to Destiny City having such a high crime rate and multiple accounts of massive property damage, is it a safe assumption to say taxes are going up, and stricter laws are the popular vote? Is there a slight bit of political unrest?
codalion: The problems haven't been going on quite long enough yet for bills and the political machine to start working (legislation is a laborious process). It IS safe to assume that the cops are acting a lot more stringently and paranoidly and that people aren't so worried about police brutality as they were before, and that aid organizations are funneling money and personnel into coping with the Destiny City disasters. As for political unrest, we'll just have to wait and see, won't we. Fancy that thought.

For signups for the Tartaros competition, can we have proxies if we think we might miss it?
codalion: It depends on your reason for missing -- we'd like to discourage proxies because we think it could get unfair for people, but we understand life necessities. PM the mule to discuss.

Tartaros question -
Can non-arted characters be signed up? It -sounds- like they can be if they've been Accepted/Stamped/OK'D/Whatevs, but I want to be sure. (See: "will be counted as signed up if they post with an accepted and stamped character." )
Natsube: Unfortunately, only characters that have been accepted in to the shop as either civilians or character upgrades(Senshi/Negaverse/whathaveyou) can play-- and those characters and upgrades must be accepted/marked prior to signing up.

So the rps for this event will have their own subforum which we post in for the character stuck in the dream, correct?
codalion: Yup!
However, any rps like say solos with families visiting the hospital or what not, would be normal rps in the normal forums correct?
codalion: Affirmative!
That is to say nothing in the nightmare world would be posted into the main forum but stay in the nightmare world's forum correct?
codalion: Aye aye!

If there's two characters and they are just on the outskirts of the inner Destiny City - one closer than the other by just a few feet - would it be okay to have one be effected by the blast, and one not?
codalion: It's not impossible, but it's unlikely, and we'd like to avoid setting any absolute 'people in X were affected, people in Y and Z were not' boundaries within RP because it could just cause more problems for signups and such than not: the blast was centered around the Museum of Art, which is in one quadrant of downtown Destiny City. The main location that it 100% spared was Destiny City Memorial Hospital.
