"Uh, th-..."

Haro was just about to sputter out a long deserved thank you, but Shin was gone...which lead the teen to stand in the spare room's doorway for several hazy moments before he realized he'd just have to show some gratitude the next morning.

With a slight frown, the boy clombered up on the bed, testing out the soft feeling before slipping off his shirt, finally having a chance to stretch out his cramped wings with a pleased sigh.

Switching from side to side, Haro traced the crisp sheet beneath with a cool fingertip, eyes slowly closing as he fell asleep minutes later.

Shin woke early that morning before the sun had really risen. He climbed out his window again and went to sit at the top, watching the sun's ascent.

Not knowing anything that Shin was doing at that moment, not knowing that he was even awake, due to the fact that Haro was still asleep, for the most part.

It wasn't the best sleep he'd ever had.

He kept fading in out of a half consciouness and a faint sleep, with very strange dreams mixed into the deal, but he even though his restless sleep wasn't a good one, it was sleep still--which Haro was grateful for.

Tucked under cool sheets, most of his warmth provided by wings which enveloped his bare shoulders, the young teen continued to dream of nicer times.

He climbed back into his room after the sun had fully risen and made his way back downstairs to the kitchen. He began cooking a breakfast and before long the house was filled with the aroma of fresh baking bread. He'd started it yesterday before he'd gone out and found Haro and had the timer so that it would start cooking on its own. It was nearly ready now, so he set about making some miso.

Nose twitching gently at the smells that seemed to permeate the whole house, bright amber eyes drowsily slid open, a rather sleepy expression still clouding the boy's face. Running a hand through his light hair, Haro sat up with a stretch, leaning forward with a waver, wanting nothing but to fall back against the sheets.

Taking his time to get out of bed, which he did with the grace of a hippo, nearly falling over himself as he attmepted to make the bed look good as new. Picking up his shirt, the young teen quickly tried to fold it-- which ended in a half rumpled, half folded mess-- and placed it at the end of the pale colored bed.

Bare feet slid across the carpet of the steps as Haro made his way to the first floor with a heavy yawn still on his rosy lips. Somehow he made his way to the kitchen, entering with a rather zombie-like expression.

"G'morning," he mumbled, giving a small wave before sitting down at the kitchen table, promptly lying his head down.

He grinned. "Real morning person, aren't you?" he asked, supressing a chuckle. "Would you like some miso or some bread? They'll be done in a few minutes."

Glancing up with a restrained yawn, Haro shook his head at the first question, not feeling like he had the energy to answer. He really wasn't sure why he was so tired. Although he had never been one to get up at dawn he usually had enough spunk coursing through him to get him through the day.

He felt completely lethargic, the movement of shaking his head making him feel as if he would pass out.

He wasn't used to this form at all...
He had always just pecked away at his food, always small amounts. Maybe he'd gotten used to the restricted diet as a bird which was shown quite starkly now that he didn't have a shirt to hide his much too thin figure, but that small diet wasn't suitable for his human form. The small amounts of simple carbohydrates had been quickly used just to keep him awake the night before, and his blood sugar must have dipping quite drastically.

Or he would've assumed as much if he'd known that this form needed much more food than his bird one.

"I don't feel well," he mumbled, eyelids drooping a few times before the boy indeed fell asleep once more.

[[Stupid bird. D:]]

Shin sighed. Haro probably wasn't used to this form. There were some differences he'd need to get used to and one of those was eating. He shook the boy's shoulder slightly. When that didn't work, he checked the pot on the stove. Sattisfied that it was cooked enough, he spooned some into a bowl. "Hey, hey... wake up, okay?" He got a funnel out of a cabbinet and held it towards the boy's mouth. "If you don't wake up, I'm going to have to make you eat out of a funnel."

Amber eyes opened just slightly, arms propping his head up, hair hanging in the teen's face. Haro didn't feel hungry at all, just incredibly tired.

"I'm...not very hungry," he mumbled, lips barely moving, wings hanging limp against his back, twitching only slightly.

"I'm just...tired," he added in a whisper, eyes fighting to stay open.

He crossed his arms, somewhat peeved that the other wouldn't take care of himself. "You need to eat... You might not need to eat, but you need to get used to eating what your body needs. Your human body is a lot larger than your bird form, so it needs more food."

Haro frowned, closing his eyes for just a few moments before turning to Shin, eyes narrowing slightly.

"I don't think there's any good things about this form," he murmured, a rush of hot adrenaline giving him a second wind.

"You have to eat more...a-and you have...have to sleep a lot..." Breathing in a deep sigh, Haro mused to himself, no, there weren't many good things about being something other than an animal.

He'd try to eat more, though just incase something made this form better.

"I'm sure you'll find the perks of being human soon enough," he said, scooting the bowl of miso towards Haro. "The bread should be finished in a few minutes, too." He got out a second bowl and ladelled some into that as well. As he did so, a timer dinged. He opened the breadmaker and the smell of fresh bread wafted out. "Ahhh... We'll just need to let it cool a bit before we can eat it..."

"Like what?" He asked, only mildly interested at the moment, attention more or less focused on the simmered bowl of miso soup. "Thank you," he murmured softly as he placed the bowl directly in front of him.

Sniffing, Haro nearly melted back into a coma-like state at the smell.
It smelled so good, and with a pout he voiced such, his head lowered slightly.

[[ Do you want Shin's outfit to be the same as in your reference or do you not care? (For your commission? n-n; ) ]]

((I dun' really care. =o He's just wearing that 'cos I couldn't think of anything else... >.>;; The shirt in that picture is a green version of a blue velvet shirt I have and I like my chara's in scarves. xD I dunno why.....))
He grinned. "You'll just have to find that out for yourself, won't you, now?" He got his own bowl and sat down, handing Haro his spoon before he began to eat, first blowing on the hot broth before eating/drinking it.

[[Okay. n.n]]

Haro took the spoon with a look of extreme gratitude, his expression morphing into one that was slightly exasperated, it accentuated by his exhaustion.

"Oh come on, y-you can't give me a few examples?" He murmured with a subtle frown, glancing at Shin with calculating eyes, copying his moves with the spoon before averting his gaze.

After a few spoonfuls of soup, Haro felt much better, although he still didn't feel very hungry, he forced himself to take a few more sips, blowing on each just as how he had observed.
