Amalirahc was the other one who was awake, but he wasn't very pleased with the weather. Beautiful though it was, he had only known warmth and sunshine, and he wasn't fond what he considered to be cold temperatures.

He pulled the blanket off his parents and snuggled under it, wrapping himself up warmly - but that meant that Kelirahc and Leyenda were now the ones who were cold. They woke up at the same time, and rather than taking the blanket back from their son, they let him keep it. Instead, they set about collecting wood for a small fire.

Earendil woke at the movement, and turned to see if Lin and Miyuki were awake yet. Lin was still asleep, but Miyuki was awake, and he smiled and moved to take her out of the crib so that she would let Lin sleep a bit longer.

"Morning, you," he chuckled, tossing her up a bit and catching her again. "Sounds like you slept well."

Earendil laughed. "You like that, do you?" he grinned. He tossed her up again and caught her again, then cradled her in his arms and tickled her under the chin.

Leyenda grinned at him. "You sure love kids," she commented as she started on breakfast.

Earendil chuckled. "I won't deny that."

"Better make that two someones," Leyenda laughed as Earendil caught Miyuki's fingers in his mouth and nibbled on them playfully.

Kelirahc was taking care of Amalirahc. "Should we wake Haldia and Aurin and Rhea?" he asked, looking around.

Earendil chuckled and let go of Miyuki's fingers. "I'd like to know how close we are," he grinned. "Let's wake them."

Kelirahc smiled and set a now-warmly dressed Amalirahc on Haldia's side, and the boy started crawling over her. She was awake right away, but rather than getting up, she rolled onto her back and let him sit on her stomach and started playing with him.

"Now how to wake Aurin and Rhea," Earendil murmured, looking over at the two. They were under separate blankets, but were sleeping right next to each other, their hands clasped between them.

Earendil put Miyuki on the ground, making sure she wasn't going to go anywhere she wasn't supposed to. "If they haven't woken by now, just talking to them won't wake them," he replied. "And it's a bit of a different situation, shaking them awake. Aurin is a member of the royal guard, after all. I know, I've been telling him to loosen up a bit, but there is still protocol."

Leyenda rolled her eyes. "Well, I was raised far away from any of that stuff," she said decisively, heading over to the two. She nudged Rhea's shoulder with her foot. "Up!" she told her. "Time to wake up! Come on, sleepyhead!"

Rhea's arm shot out and she grabbed Leyenda's foot - purely reaction - and with a yelp, Leyenda found herself suddenly on the ground.

Earendil laughed. "That's the other reason I wasn't looking forward to it," he admitted with a grin. "It's a lot better to watch."

"One doesn't," Earendil grinned, watching as Rhea sat up and rubbed her eyes. "One allows his fiancee to do so."

Rhea leaned over and put one hand on Aurin's cheek, speaking softly to him, and in only a moment, he was also awake.

Earendil turned back to Lin and grinned. "See? Much safer that way."

Leyenda giggled and pulled her hair out of Miyuki's reach. She knew how grabby children were, especially at that age.

"Don't you dare," she grinned, hopping lightly to her feet again. "Time for breakfast." She picked up Miyuki and brought her back over to Lin. "Here, don't want her getting into the fire or anything."

"Breakfast is ready," Kelirahc announced, reaching for the plates again. He called out to Haldia in the Ancient Tongue, and she gathered Amalirahc into her arms and moved to join the others.
