A servant chose that moment to knock. The first rap was loud, as though to make sure he was heard, then the next two like apologizes for the first.
Mit picked up his head, as though he'd never been asleep, and called, "Come!" Then he turned his head to see Violet, "When did you come out?" He nodded to the row of necklaces, "Have you picked one?"
The servant came in, the door behind him slamming shut by accident. Ambersky jumped to his feet, then pretended two have meant to do that.

Violet looked over at the necklaces he had made. She reached up to take one and put it around her neck.

Mit took notice that Violet had taken the necklace that was a line of cut stones made to look like butterflies. That was the one he'd made to look like organic stone turned butterfly. only one was cut exactly in the shape of a butterfly and it would sit resting for a moment on her collar bone.
The servant bowed having approached the sitting area, "His highness sent me to invite you to the dinner party."

Mit stood, and stretched, yawning. He too stood, Ambersky joining him. He nodded to the Servant, "Thank you, we are prepared to accompany you." He offered his elbow to Violet, "Shall I escort you, Milady?"
The servant bowed again and walked to the door, opening it patiently.

Mit place hand on hers before leading the way out of the apartments. He waited until the servant closed the door behind Ambersky and Tora. Then followed the servant down the halls to the grand hall.
The servant stopped at the last arch before the hall and announced them, "LORD MAGE MITICA SON OF WIZARD OAK! LORD AMBASSADOR TORA!! LADY AMBASSADOR VIOLET OF THE FAE!"
His voice carried through the large room with tables sit about the sides of the room. in the center was a dancing floor the noble participants of which did not stop dancing as they were introduce. They did stop and drop low when King Judus stood and escorted his wife across the room towards the small group. He took Violet's hand and kissed it politely as he had earlier. He looked however to Tora after he greeted them, "Mitica, Lady Violet, Lord Tora, I hope you've enjoyed your new accommodations thus far."
Ambersky stood like a shadow next to Tora ready to translate as he needed to.
After Judus spoke, Mit bowed at the waist politely, "Your Majesties, You both look lovely this evening," He came back up and nodded to the queen, "Your Majesty, I have not formally introduced you to Lady Violet and Lord Tora from across the sea. Lady, Lord, This is her Majesty Queen Solom."
The queen smiled with just her mouth, and offered her free hand limply to Violet, "Lady, tis an honor." She looked Violet up and down, like she was looking at something dirty and unappealing, "What a lovely dress you have, this evening."

"The pleasure is mine, your majesty," Violet said politely and took her hand. "And thank you for your compliment. You look lovely as well, as I assume you always do."

"Of course I do, They are all made of rare eastern fabrics. Your dress however..." She looked it up and down, "Well... It is different, isn't it?"
Judus stepped closer to Tora, "I hope you will forgive me for not coming down to speak at the same level as you Lord Tora, but I do wish to speak with you more. Tell me, have you enjoyed your time here thus far?"
Mit stayed close to Violet, trusting Judus not to attempt to insult Tora, Solom however... She wasn't happy unless all the attention was on her.

Solom smiled back, "Why yes... As does wearing the same thing more than one party in a row... I can only hope your dress tomorrow is just as interesting..."
"Good to hear," Judus nodded, "I apologize if this offends you, but you are a predator, are you not?"
