Then Thorn came strolling cooly into the kittchen from the living room.
"good evening everyone" Thorn said with a cool/excited tone of voice. She went over to the fridge and got out a bottle of water to drink . So that her mouth would'nt be so dry anymore. Then she went over to Gitano.
"um..is it ok if ..." She started to lower her voice and glanced over at suzuka for a sec.
"i go out to hunt tonight" Thorn said in a low whisper , so that only Gitano could hear her.

Arisu looked up from her book to see very little light trying to escape through the curtains. "It's time..." she muttered then placed a bookmark in her spot in her book and closed it. She stood and started to change.

As Therin wandered out into the halls, she heard sounds from the kitchen and decided to head there. Walking in, she found several in there already. "Well, good evening all." She then turned to Suzuka with a smile. "How are you enjoying your firs day?"
Suzuka was mildly surprised when Korsu came in. "Hey." She bent over a tad and scratched Cinder behind the ear. "Yeah. He showed up at my door while I was getting ready for bed."
Before much more could be said, Gitano came in. "Evening. Actually, I slept through most of it. I must have had a long day yesterday and stayed up too late. But it's been pretty quiet since I got up. Where's everyone been?"
She gave Thorn a nervous smile as she came in. There was still something about the girl that made Suzuka a tad uneasy. She supposed it was her imagination. If her grandfather had let her live here, she must be alright.
But Therin's entrance distracted her from her thoughts. "Evening. It's been alright, I suppose. A little quieter than I was expecting. I haven't seen anyone all day until just a minute ago when Korsu came in."

After changing, Arisu walked downstairs and found Suzuka again surrounded by a few of the vampires. "Good evening, Miss Suzuka," she said politely.

Gitano rubbed the back of his head, "I must have been tired yesterday. I slept in all day."
He nodded at Thorn's statement. "Just be careful. Though I don't need to tell you that," he answered back just to her.
To Therin and Arisu he just patted his pants pocket to show he had the letter, he was just waiting on the OK to give it to Suzuka.

Thorn smiled and nodded her head.
"well ok then, im off then and dont worry im always careful" She said gitano with a wink then looked around the kittchen for Korsu.
"oh ya and is it ok if i bring Korsu with me ...that is if he wants to " Thorn said smiling warmly in the direction of where Korsu was.

Therin nodded a bit. "Yes. Sometimes the days here are pretty quiet. We've all sort of adopted a nocturnal lifestyle. Perhaps in time you will either get used to the quiet days or else you'll turn to the night life like us."
Suzuka nodded. "I see. Yes, maybe I will."
She turned to the door to see Arisu walk in. "Good evening, Arisu. Come to join the party?" She had decided that it wasn't worth the effort to try and get them to stop referring to her as 'Miss' or 'Mistress' or 'Lady' or any other such polite title. It seemed that no matter how hard she insisted, they ignored her, so she decided to get used to it.
She looked between Thorn, Gitano and Korsu. "Oh, you two going out somewhere?"

Thorn looked at Suzuka with a slight smile.
"ah...ya..you could say that...me and if Korsu wants to come with, have some business to attend too" Thorn said in a slightly mysterious tone.

Arisu nodded to Gitano slightly after Suzuka turned around, to show that she understood what his gesture meant. She mouthed the words, "Not yet."
She noticed Thorn getting ready to leave, and attempting to get Korsu to go as well. Before Suzuka started to get suspicious, she said, "Like Therin said, we have become nocturnal. That lifestyle suits us best, as we are outcasts to society. Do you know what it is like to have people stare at you and know that you are completely alone in the world, with no parents and no home except for an old mansion? We became nocturnal to avoid the crowds of people who would stare. We only go out at night, when there aren't very many people, for that reason." Arisu hoped Suzuka would buy her little story, for all of their sake.

Thorn smiled a "thanks-for-saving-me" smile and nodded rubbing the back of her head.
"ya excatly what Arisu said" Thorn said getting even more anxious to leave before Suzuka starts asking questions or worse yet, decides to tag along and that would be way to risky.

"Go, if Korsu wants to go, he'll follow," Gitano said softly to Thorn, seeing her anxiousness. He returned Arisu's nod and smiled, showing he understood.
He looked up at Suzuka and added, "Though your grandfather still dragged a few along with him during his errands. He wasn't one to let the gossip get him down, or stop him from getting his groceries." He hoped that he made it looked like not all slept through the day.

Therin wondered if perhaps things weren't starting to get stretched a little far, but didn't say anything....yet.
Glancing at Thorn, she covertly motioned toward the door, encouraging her to leave before things got too hairy.
Suzuka listened to Arisu's words. "Yeah. I know a little what that's like. I mean, technically, I had parents, but they were hardly ever around. People in my town knew that. It was pretty awkward when I was still in school. After graduation, at least I could lock myself away in the house and not have to deal with the pitying friends and everything." Thankfully, she had so far been unaware of all the subtle communication going on around her.

"So how are you settling in, Miss Suzuka?" Arisu asked. It was innocent and sincere enough. It would let them know how well Suzuka has been coping with the surprise, but subtle enough to not give anything away. If she had been able to cope with the surprise, they could give her the letter. If not, they know not the surprise and frighten her more. But, if the latter were to happen, Arisu hoped they'd be able to keep this charade up another day or two.

((GAH. Damn you, real life! Drawing me away again! DX -- Sorry, I've been trying to get school things straightened out. I'm hoping to enroll in the fall semester at the local community college here. x__x))
Emerald hues opened softly before a hand came up to shield against the light traces of sunset that managed to penetrate through the curtain flap of Ashii's bedroom window. The elder vampire sat up with slight difficulty, noticing a sharp pain at his neck. A grimace tugged at his features as he raised a hand to the spot, fingertips lightly tracing what appeared to be a burn. He sighed as the broken flesh stung beneath his touch, eyeing the curtains again as they blew in the soft breeze.
That's what he got for forgetting to close his window the night before. The breeze during the day must've seperated his curtains enough to let light pour over him while he slept.
Ashii shook his head. Thankfully, it seemed to only be the one spot-- he might've been more concerned if the light had managed to damage much else. The centuries he'd lived through had made him stronger than some of the younger occupants of the household-- his body had had the time to adjust and come up with ways to better deal with ultraviolet rays, should he have become careless. The warm blood pulsating through his veins had probably helped too, he thought as he arose from his mattress and made his way over to an oak-carved dresser that stood in the corner of his attic room. When he'd joined Usagi, he hadn't been one for creature comforts. Already accustomed to sleeping in odd areas and spaces, he'd opted to take the small attic; leaving some of the other, better and more modern furnished rooms for the other inhabitants to squabble over.
Carefully, he changed-- slipping on a button down black dress shirt for sake of ease with his new burn mark before grabbing a roll of linen he kept in the dresser just in case. With patience, he wrapped his neck, having to go only by touch as a mirror would have been useless to him anyway. Once he'd gotten his neck wrapped to hide the mark as well as to help it heal, he quietly made his way downstairs. The voices of some of the others drifted to his ears and he smiled lightly. It seemed they were gathering in the kitchen, speaking to their Lady Suzuka. Tension was in the air, he could feel it from even Gitano and Therin.
They're going to tell her... he thought idly to himself as he slid away from the stairs and made his way into the parlor where the piano Usagi had imported just for him sat.
Gracefully, he slid the case over the keys back and assumed his seat; lids closed softly over emerald hues as his fingers found their place over the keys and he let a breath he hadn't been aware he was holding escape him before beginning to play, the only sound or indication he gave to his presence.
((Ashii is pretty insanely old. He was born sometime in the mid-1300s in what is now Russia. So... I believe, that *does* make him the oldest, with Arisu as the second.
