"If you don't want to see reason that's fine, you can tell me that you just don't want to hear and I'll leave you alone. It would have happened Cherry, things just work out that way. They're dead because they CHOSE to die, it had nothing to do with you. Just like you chose to want to kill Blue, just like I chose to kill him, just like I chose to remove my mask. In the end we are the makers of our own destiny. I control my own world, not you Cherry. If I chose right now to end my life, then that's it. It was my own choice. Remember what I taught you the first day we met? My nindo?" Zane asked her attempting to bring reason one more time.

"I never said that they wanted to die, I said they chose to die. Your mother chose to do what she did Cherry! And another thing, Yo," Zane suddenly stopped as he realized that this was a loosing battle. There was reasoning with a woman once they get going. The best thing he could do was just to shut his mouth and apoligize. So Zane merely sighed as he sat down on the ground and finished his drink. "I'm sorry for what happened, I truly am. If you want take that anger out on me, then go ahead. I blame myself for letting things get this far. I could have stopped it. But know that you will always have a home here Cherry and I promised your mom to protect you. So that's what I'll do. Wether you want me to do it in the open light or hidden in the shadows it's up to you," he stated simply as he took another sip, opening his eyes as they showed sadness and resentment, not towards Cherry, but towards himself.

Zane sighed as he did what she told him. He picked up the sword and gave it to her. Ezio muttering crazy things in the background, shocked that he did so without hesitating. Sitting back down on his spot, he closed his eyes, as he finished drinking his tea. Whatever she decided to do it was going to be her decision...but in truth, it's gotten to the point that hers will decide his as well. Their paths have been connected, and Zane will try to stay on her path as long as he can.

Zane once again did as he was told as he helped her sit up. He sat beside her, holding her back up with his hands. Ezio once again was about to intervene when Zane flicked his wrist, dissmissing Ezio as the bokeiton chakra dissipated and the jutsu was released. He'd rather not have Ezio watch either.

Zane held his arm out and placed it on Cherry's shoulder. Using the same concepts as the Kai release jutsu, Zane poured out his chakra into Cherry, but instead of disrupting any flow, he had it go with the flow, pouring his chakra into hers. He had no problem doing this and didn't hesitate. Whatever she needed he would do. It was funny...he was sort of making his own vow.

"Outou Kuranma..." Zane muttered as he held his arms out and rested her upon his shoulder. "Shouldn't have expected any less..." Zane stated as his mind began to focus on the words her mother told him and what he swore on. He swore to protect her and keep her from harm. It was the least he could do for everything. Just as Ezio is bound to him, Zane would bind himself to Cherry, and wether she liked it or not, he would protect her. Wether he did it in the open, or in the shadows, was up to her.

Zane closed his eyes and sighed. "I need to retire," he chuckled as he Cherry began to cough,, he held her tight as to not let her fall. Zane remained in state of light sleep, where the tiniest noise would awake him.

Over the next four days, Zane stayed next to her the entire time, making sure that she was fed and her other needs were met as he and Ezio patched things over among themselves. During this time, Zane found a misterious sealed scroll inside his dojo and the times where he was awake, Zane poured himself into the scroll as he tried to translate its ancient writings.
