I'm better than icecream.Maria finished sewing up Patches, her face now a deep shade of red. "Oh my, Patches! You're so naughty!"
The stuffed-bear seemed to hold a mischeivious glint in it's bright red eyes. "Oh, I know. But how would you live without me, princess?"
"Why would I, silly?" Maria then asked the bear, lifting it up and smiling proudly. "You've always been a good friend to me, ever since I met you! My one true friend..." she said, sounding so happy as she spoke. "Even when mother shredded you up the hundredth time, you didn't leave me like the others did...."  Even then, I still lost to icecream. You

Tao just so happened to appear in the Queens window, his legs folded over eachother as he smiled. Maria sounded happy, even though she hadn't seen him appear into the window. Tao just sat there and purred quietly, his ears flat and his tail swaying casually.

Matt was sitting in his room, messing with his deck of playing cards. He was thinking on what the King had told him. "See her loyalty...that shouldn't be to hard.HE smiled. He walked out, and headed back to the back room.

I'm better than icecream. Not noticing Tao sitting on the window, Patches continued speaking to Maria. "Why would I leave you? You've sewn me up whenever I've fallen apart and you're by far the prettiest girl I've ever seen. It'll be a shame when you have to pick a king..."
Maria laughed, grinning ever so widely. "All well. We can still be friends, can't we? Plus, I doubt that I'm pretty enough to find a willing king. I'd rather not be like my mother with father..." she replied, sounding quite amused. She stood up and spun around, just noticing Tao as she spotted him. "Oh, hello again!" she greeted him ever so cheerfully, seeming ignorant of the fact that he must've entered the castle without the guards' permission. Even then, I still lost to icecream. You

"Hello Miss Maria~",he chimed, his head resting in his hand as he stared at her, elbow resting on his knee. "Forgive me if you found me rude to eaves drop, but I think you are one of the most, if not the, fairest of woman throughout the land. Dorthy leaned forward and felt her ankle, then moved her foot around,"It's sore, but I can walk on it.",she said smiling. 'Or die trying, but either way.',she thought with a mental laugh.

Tao waved his hand as if to dismiss the negativity.
"Now now, she may have been a fat troll but surely you know she only kept you in here because you're prettier than her and you always will be.",he said sticking his nose in the air as if proud of his statement.
Dorthy stood, wobbled slightly, and nodded.
"After you.",she said smiling.

Dorthy blunk at his words, but she would be obedient and go first and head out the door. Of course she winced as she walked on her bad foot, but she kept balance only wobbling a little bit.

I'm better than icecream. Maria's cheeks heated up in embarassment. She seemed quite prideful herself after hearing this, though, like a child being praised. "Thank you."
Patches couldn't help but grin at Maria's behavior. What he loved most about her was her childishness yet her somewhat violent instincts that would surface every now and again. He was tempted to tease her, but remained silent instead. Even then, I still lost to icecream. You
