Atsureki smiled at Sai's words, immediately placing the ring on the middle finger of his right hand, it just seemed to be where it belonged. As Sai began walking towards the dorms Atsureki followed closely behind.

Akio sauntered into the room, giving the Hyuuga a wink as he did; a coy smile spreading across his face as he did. He found his chair and instead of sitting down in it or standing and waiting, he slid himself onto the edge of the table and crossed his legs.

"Hyuugas make excellent trackers..." he said, obviously directing the statement at Atsureki.

Akio sighed at Sai's joyless attitude, before reaching into his card holster and producing a note which he threw to Sai, gesturing for him to open it.

"I made it to Mist, and they wish to forge an alliance with us, they're even willing to hand over a Jinhuuriki in their care."

Akio spun around so his feet were resting on the table and he pulled his knees in tight as he continued on with his explanation.

"They remember you Sai, from a previous encounter, and they wish to have a meeting with you, however I already negotiated conditions with them, simply; we can't attack or hurt their villagers or shinobi without their permission. We get full access to their resources and assistance as well being able to take refuge in their village if need be."

Sai listened carefully to what Akio said, though he would be lying if he had said that this is what he had expected. For Mist to seek out an Akatsuki and attempt to make a bargain with them was unheard of. Their organization was hated and distrusted due to their methods and intentions. No doubt, Mist was looking to get a piece of what the Akatsuki was after and secure a place for themselves at the same time. If they thought ti would be so easy however, they did not know Sai...

"Hmmph, as if we would need refuge, or demean ourselves by taking it up within one of the accursed villages. I did not escape the Bloody Mist and survive countless attacks from my once fellow-hunter nins simply to rejoin the ranks of the Mist once more in their ambitions. We have all left to disassociate ourselves from the boundaries of the villages to break free of them. To ally with them would be a step backwards and it would weaken us by spreading the control around over more hands. No doubt they fear us, or at least, are trying to ally with us to further their own goals... which I have no doubt, have not changed since I left. The Kirigakure will always be just that... the Bloody Mist. The village itself is anarchy... they deserve their fate almost more so then any of the other villages..."

Sai finished his speech with a brooding tone and continued to absorb the information slowly as he processed as many reasons for Mist;'s sudden reaching out as he could. As he did so, his head suddenly reeled in pain with a surge of his bloodline's curse, but as he had already closed his eyes to think, he had doubted anyone would notice the bout of pain he had just felt brought on by a good amount of exhaustion and the lure of sleep. "What exactly were they doing negotiating with you anyways? What is their goal?... did they say anything else about their intentions and WHY they wished to ally with us?"

"Do not demean me Akio. I would not so easily turn aside the information they offer, but as with all alliances it would come at a price. Only a complete fool would hand over their information and a village member to our cause without receiving some assurance that we would keep up our end of the bargain." Sai didn't move at all as he spoke, but his tone of displeasure with Akio's inferences could easily be detected as he spoke. He was not at all happy that Akio had been captured in the first place, and he had doubts that an alliance with the Mist, even if it was a flase one would yield results without great difficulty... but in the end, Akio was right. they would be fools to simply dismiss the opportunity.

"You are right however." Sai said as his tone returned back to it's normal level and intonation... "We would be fools not to pursue an alliance, even if it was an obviously false one if it meant procuring a jinchuuriki in the process. I have a hard time believing that they would at any point trust us, and they would be fools to do so... but all we have to do is to make sure we stay one step ahead of them at all times." Sai's negotiation with the leader would be the key when they met... but much planning would need to occur before then. "What else did you learn in your time there Akio?... is there anything we could use against them?"

The comment of the Kirigakure's leadership was an almost trivial matter to Sai as he assumed he would notice the same thing were he in the same situation, but it would save time for him to know it now. following that, Sai wasn't all that threatened with Akio's comment, but at the same time, he realized that these people didn't really know him that well, or how he functioned. Despite Sai's orders to do something, unless he specified some precise need for haste, it could have been achieved in a reasonable time table rather then right at the second he gave the order. The Akatsuki was not a blitzkrieg organization... and in fact, was meant to operate in exactly the opposite manner.

"You have been free to eat or sleep whenever and however you like Akio. Everyone is and always will be. You are a part of this organization as a choice and you have your freedom within it. Unless I say something requires haste, I would fully expect you to tackle a mission at your best, or in whatever state would allow you to function at your highest level to achieve the goal at hand. If that requires waiting till you've had rest, or food, or additional time for training new techniques... then so be it, so long as the work is done for the organization and it's member's shared goals."

Continuing on, Sai showed that he had heard enough of the topic by deciding to move on and not discuss it further. More thought would have to be put into the offer and the matter wasn't going to be resolved tonight. he himself needed rest, and so did everyone else apparently. He figured that they could reconvene at a later time and work on their plans on how to treat this newest development... "As with all things in the mountain, the armory is at your disposal. You'll find it at the third door on the left down the corridor towards the training grounds... it should have anything and everything you might need... and probably a few things you didn't know you needed. For now, I believe we can convene the meeting. I am apparently not the only one who needs rest and I think we could all use time to think on how we want to treat this newest development." Sai then waited to see if anyone else would say anything before presenting Zenko with an Akatsuki ring and showing her to the dorms.

Atsureki sighed before rising from his seat and bowing to both Sai and Akio. Turning away from the table, he made his way through the corridors of the base on his way to the dorms. His brow was furrowed as he thought about what had been discussed. He was unsure what to think of this alliance, but then again if Kirigakure was willing to give over its demon host so they could be purified then perhaps it was not such a bad idea. Shaking his head Atsureki turned his thoughts to the training he would have to undergo tomorrow as he made his way slowly to his room.
