Saoszuc Whoa. What happened (not that it's any of my business)? They say I botted, I say I was hacked and my account was botted. I was gone for about a week so yeah. Even the admins are a little shocked by this.

Ouch Tutsumi sweatdrop Blah...sometimes I really wish I hadn't stepped down...then I could at least see what really happened, and maybe help. >_<
...for now, I need to post about what's going on in the guild. We look really dead, and I need to explain why:
The GNG only has a few people who I would call 'Movers and Shakers' ...people who keep things running for the others who just want to get their RP on. I'm one of those, Saoszuc is another, Kenosha is a third. Currently, RL is getting in the way of all three of us being on as often as we used to...but we're still trying really hard to develop this place.
If it was just our RL's, that would be enough to keep things moving...but there's another pressing problem: the GNG is conceptually too powerful. The various branches are strong enough that it takes an entire battlefleet from another dimension to worry the ASDF...which means most of the time no one wants to mess with us. Which means no combat RP.
So what's currently happening is Saoszuc, myself, Owle Isohos, Kenosha, and a couple others are figuring out ways to fix our RP situation, and hopefully apply the Antagonism System in a meaningful way. In my particular case, this means very little ability to post anything else...I'll probably squeak in a post or two during the week, if I can overcome being burnt out from work (I don't understand how cashiering can wear my brain down so much, but it does). Sao's been dealing with her situation for longer than the rest of us, and it shows...she's been able to post more than I have. Owle's moving, and Ken's in a similar situation to me (give or take some stress).
Part of the way we're fixing the RP situation is by designing a new guild feature: the Big Event. The Big Event will involve multiple guilds, and will open up lots of new RP potential for us. Glittering generality I know, but bear with me...I don't wanna tip our hand completely yet. Another way we're fixing the RP situation is by setting up a conflict that won't need a direct CO to be constantly directing things. A conflict that will span not just the ASDF, but all of the major branches in a meaningful way.
In the meantime, please hang in there with us, and try to think of RP that doesn't need to involve the Major of your branch. Look at your fellow guildies, and remember, "These people are cool! I wanna RP with them!" Open up an NPC run bar if you have to.
I guess what I'm saying is, "Heeeeelllp~!" ^^

Does someone perhaps have an IC friend that may have a small scale but interesting problem that might be solved by people outside of their mecha?
It wouldn't be a military operation, but something like "My friend could use a hand with X, and I can't do it alone, so could you cool people I met through the GNG lend a hand?"
I'm trying to think of such a problem. It is late and I am tired. But I'd be willing to run something very small scale like that if someone would volunteer to be my IC connection...it would be your job to pull people in IC and give them an excuse to take part in the plot. I'd do it myself, but my character unfortunately has had little time to make friends with anyone.

D5ers check in if you want to get things continuing. ASDFers can safely advance time if they like; the plotting won't bear its bulbous fruit for quite some time, so feel free to start smaller plots. Torama folken: Maybe Nida could use an excuse to get involved. If anyone wants to have traced Nida's reply to Eileen's email (as posted in the D5 thread), she'd love to have a look at Guardian's sweet bike. 3nodding GAers need to get down on that damn thread Eileen made. razz

Eileen (in TORAMA IC thread): Ai Leen To: friends@gaia From: dragunwingz @ piffleprincess.co.jp (Eileen E. Patterson) Hi everyone, this is Eileen. Eileen! How are you all? I'm genki as always! biggrin I missed you guys, so I wanted to get in touch again! Rika, Toyo, I heard a brand new digicam came out! Do you think I should get it? sweatdrop I like that company's other products, but this is a new field for them, ne? Nida and Ken, did you guys get reassigned? I haven't seen you at all since I got back, and I brought pocky! It's gonna melt if I don't see you soon! crying Camers! You were so quiet today! What's wrong? Rora...hehe, you've been using a new shampoo haven't you? Your fur is soooooooo soft!~ heart Everyone, please write me back! <3 ~ <3 ~ <3 ~ <3 Eileen Duo/Trowa yaoi - click here! whee ____________________________________________________________ Do you...Piffle? - Series IV Angelic Layer clothes, lowest prices! Nida (in D5 IC thread): Saoszuc Eep! It's a long story. I don't know what your clearance is, but I reckon you can dig up the details pretty easily. Suffice to say that my time off was involuntary, and since my very recent return, I've chosen to take a sabbatical from the military. I'm living a civvie life. Even switched to living in Barton. I've got a construction consultancy on the side, so I'll be able to make enough to live well, but it's not as glamorous as crawling around inside Veritechs, that's for sure. Call me sometime. I'll make dinner, we can catch up. I'm ebrained out now, so we can even datalink if you still can't speak above half a decibel. 3nodding Neither transmission was so secure that a group with ASDF ties who were running a bit of network espionage couldn't track either party down.
