(OOC: Oh, don't worry. I won't want Hiruzen to be harmed.... At least not on accident mrgreen .)

Kageko looked outside the window. "Well, that is true," she replied, noticing just then how dark it was outside. She had been so focused on organizing her weapons that she hadn't noticed that night had already fallen. "Well then," she suggested, "put it away in your room somewhere safe and then you can look at the rest of my stuff. You wouldn't want to lose it amongst all of this." She hung the shuriken she had just barely avoided cutting Hiruzen with from a peg on the wall, putting two others that looked just like it on the same peg.

Hiruzen nodded slowly, walking to the door, avoiding a set of makabishi on the floor, knowing how... Unpleasant it was to step on one, much less a group. "I suppose not. I will go see if there's anything edible here, and cook something if I can. Should I make a portion for you?" He was in the mood for a midnight snack, after all. It had already been three and a half hours since he had his ramen.

Kageko shook her head, "Nah, I'm good," as she picked up the numerous chakrams and hung them all up on one wall. There were about four different sets, all identical, so she needed two pegs to hold them all: one peg for white chakrams and another peg for black chakrams.

As he was leaving, Hiruzen turned around a last time, surveying the room. "You know... Your room reminds me of Okaa-san's shop. You always hang up so many weapons." The "Okaa-san" he was refering to was none other than Kageko and Vincente's mother, who, upon meeting Hiruzen, had told him to refer to her as kaa-chan, the Japanese equivilant of "Mom". He couldn't be quite that informal, though.
Either way, he left the room with one last grin flashed towards Kageko, and made a beeline for his own room, staring up at the gaping hole in the ceiling, a look of distaste clear on his face. After a sigh, he placed his new weapon and gloves on the matress he had pulled off of the western-styled bed, and slipped out of the door, intent on finding something edible.

was all Kageko thought as she stored a couple more weapons back into the scroll. It made sense for her room to look like a weapon shop. Oftentimes, that was the most efficient and space-saving method. Carefully gathering a number of kunais, these ones had explosive tags, Kageko proceeded to put all of them into the drawer right below the regular kunais. Reaching for another pile, the girl continued to organize her stock of weapons. From the kunais she moved to the katanas. From the katanas, she moved to the shurikens. As she moved along, she either arranged the weapons or put them back into her scroll.

A little while later(Read: an hour), Hiruzen was making his way up to the second floor, or, more specifically, his and Kageko's quarters. He was quite full, having found enough food to make a ver decent meal. The turkey had vanished without a trace, oddly enough, though."I could just go to sleep right now... Ugh, but I'm supposed to wait for Havik-san..."" He sat on his rolled-out futon, eyeing the mattress still lying in the middle of the room, debating wether he should stay awake or not. Kageko's light's were off, but that didn't necessarily mean she was asleep. Still, he didn't really want to bother her for something as idiotic as keeping him entertained till Havik made it through the door.
Sighing, he laid back, bored and tired, waiting impatiently.
He didn't last five seconds before he fell asleep.

Contrary to what Hiruzen was thinking, Kageko had not fallen asleep and was very much awake. She still needed to get her weapons organized and had only turned off her lights to check how brightly one of them glowed. It was a trial weapon that she found little use for and so had sealed back into the scroll. By now, she was practically done... with the first set.

Hiruzen opened his eyes, feeling like he couldn't stay asleep another second, despite still feeling tired. He immediately realized he wasn't where he had fallen asleep at. He wasn't in his room any more, or even indoors. The more he looked around, the more he realized that, he wasn't even in Konoha anymore. He recognized the place, though. He was at the beach near his home village, Otogakure. This isn't your home... No, it was that wretched little village to the south... A village as wretched as you felt, isn't that right...? Hiruzen clapped both of his hands to his head, suprise, confusion, and fear coursing through him. Where had that voice come from? And how did it know about... The other place? Shaking these thoughts aside, he stood up, and turned towards the village, hoping to get away.
After running for what seemed like ages, he came to the gate that led into the village, but he saw something odd; a parade. Everyone was dressed in their formal wear, fancy kimonos, stately yukatas, and all of them were wearing masks. He wondered what was going on, when a lone figure seperated from the crowd. It was a girl, around his age, it seemed. She was wearing an almost solidly black colored kimono, with white trim and obi, her mask that of a black fox. He remembered her... But he couldn't remember her name for the life of him. It was on the tip of his tongue, yet he couldn't quite recall it. It was infuriating in it's ability to frustrate him.
The girl came closer, a cheerful hop in her step, her silver hair flouncing along with her gait, the small black moon clip in her hair glinting in the odd light. As she came to a stop a few feet in front of him, he looked down at her, raising a hand to scratch at his neck sheepishly, about to ask her name, when he noticed something; he was wearing a black yukata. He didn't remember putting this on! Getting completely weirded out by this turn of events, he just looked back at the girl.
She moved her mask to the side, showing her pale face, three streaks like whiskers adorning each chek, as wide, silver eyes stared up at him. "What is your name?" She pouted at him, as if put-off by his question, before giggling musically. She wagged her finger infront of his face in a mocking way, as if to say, "You haven't forgotten about me, have you?"
Hiruzen tilted his head, utterly perplexed by this impish little girl, when it struck him. Her name; it was Kageko! She was his best friend, wasn't she? "Is that you, Geko-," She cut him off, though, by placing a finger on his lips, tilting her own head, while sporting an odd, mischeavious smile. He blinked in confusion, staring at her with the appropriate expression. He barely even noticed her reaching behind herself, pulling something from the bow of her obi.
He did notice the villagers in the parade coming closer, though. Their masks were all some mixture of red and black, and seemed to be depicting different kinds of oni, rather than the animals he thought he had seen not moments ago. They were moving in a steepled, purposeful gait, growing closer with each second. He didn't know why, but this made him feel apprehensive. His attention was drawn by another voice, however.
"It's time for you to go, Hiru-chan..."
He turned back down to her, only to see her pull her hand back, and lance out with the other, a flash of steel accompanying the limb. A moment of shock, and he wondered what had just happened. Looking down, he followed her face, down to her shoulder, and from her shoulder, to her hand, and in her hand... Was a knife. A dagger of some sort. And it was embedded in his chest. He watched in morbid fascination as a trickle of blood made it's way down the front of his yukata, until it dripped off of the belt holding his shirt closed, dying the white cloth red.
Then...
Then the pain hit.

He awoke with a shout, clutching the space over his heart with his left hand, pangs of phantom pain still ebbing from there, were the blade had been lodged scant few seconds ago. But... There was nothing there, now. He looked around himself, realizing he was back in his room, curled up in his traveling fuuton, wearing nothing but a pair of shorts. Was that... A dream? He noticed he had broken out in a cold sweat, as hair was sticking to his face and the back of his neck uncomfortably, burning his eyes a bit with the salty liquid. He swep his bangs out of the way, and looked around, seeing the aquarium sitting on the desk, directly under the open window, the pale moon hanging over the tank in a picturesque display.
The sky was pale, though, and dawn was fast approaching.
"So I had fallen asleep.."

Kageko, meanwhile, had fallen asleep in the middle of organizing her weapons. That is, she had fallen asleep right on top of the assortment of very sharp and dangerous objects. As she rested in the black void of her sleep, where she didn't need to worry about the demon within her or the pain it could potentially bring her friends, a fearful shout ripped through, dissipating the emptiness with the thought, . She had recognized the shout immediately, who else could it be, and had just as quickly started up out of her sleep, the rapidity of her movements causing several cuts on her hands, arms, and face as she rocketed up and dashed to her friend's room, both of her regular chakrams out and ready. "Hiru, are you alright?" Kageko asked as soon as she entered the room, quickly scanning through it for any signs of what could cause her friend to scream with such pain. Even if it wasn't an immediate danger, the look in her eyes would have ensured that the person or thing to cause it would not be able to escape without her attempting to give chase and cause some serious harm.

Upon hearing that eerily familiar voice, Hiruzen turns bleary, clouded eyes to Kageko, still not completely out of his nightmare-induced stupor. He saw her, just like in the dream, though she wasn't wearing the same thing, her expression was what shook him. Her lips were in a grim line, her eyebrows knitted in an odly ferocious manner, and her eyes... The were colder than he'd ever seen them. They actually scared him. With slight horror, he trailed his sight from her face in a steady trajectory, eventually coming upon her hands.
She was holding a chakram, her signature weapon, the blade glinting dully in the dim lighting of pre-dawn Konoha. Is what I was dreaming actually going to happen? Will she... Kill me? He also only then noticed that he was holding a kunai in his left hand, though he didn't ever remember drawing one. With a slight tremble in his voice, his eyes still foggy, he spoke.
"W-what are you doing, Kageko? Ending me already?" With morbid interest he noted that those weren't the words he had wanted to say. Far from it! So why did they come out, rather than the "What's going on? What'd I do?", if he hadn't wanted them to?

(OOC: You just have to make my rp life hard, don't you stressed ?)

Despite the scream from Hiru and the kunai he had out, Kageko could see no signs of a surprise attack on her friend. Then she heard her friend's question. "Huh?" the girl asked in confusion and a slight tinge of genuine fear with absolutely no guilt, "E-ending you? What do you mean by that? I heard you scream and came in. D-did something happen?". She didn't understand, she had come in to find who had tried to attack Hiru. At least, she guessed that he was being attacked when he screamed. Then the realization that caused her to stutter struck her. Could her friend know about her bijuu? If he did, then it really wouldn't be a surprise if he thought of her as some bloodthirsty monster that wanted to kill him. She didn't want that to happen, that's why she did whatever she could to hide that she was jinchuuriki. "I'm, ermm, sorry if I did anything wrong," the girl replied in a barely audible voice before quickly backing out of her friend's room and heading into her own. the girl thought to herself as she closed the door to her room,

The quiet "click" of the door's lock falling into place seemed to push him back into a fully concious state. After a moment of reflective silence, he slumped back into a prone position, flinging the comforter over his head. "What was that?! Ugh, I am such an idiot..." After wallowing in self-pit/loathing for a while, he grudgingly rose to a sitting position, swiveling his legs over the edge of the bed, and stood up.
He almost fell flat on his face, though, his legs rather weak, for some reason or another. After getting used to his legs again, he made his way out of his room, and down the hallway to the stairs, planning on going to the kitchen to get something to eat.

Kageko remained in her room, surrounded by the weapons that she had yet to arrange. She had managed to calm her exterior, but her inside emotions were still in a turmoil. the girl reprimanded herself, Around her, Yin-Yang danced and twirled frantically through the air. The exercise helped to calm her mind down and force her to focus on something else.

Hiru had been in the kitchen for a while now, absent-mindedly making tamagoyaki and some onigiri while going over what had happened upstairs in his head. By the time he was out of his stupor, the sun was already up, shining it's dazzling light over the forests around Konoha, as well as the monument to the north of the village. He also noted with suprise that had made two servings. Figuring that this was his sub-concious telling him to try and make up with Kageko through food, he simply placed the plates of food into the square bentou boxes he had washed only a few hours ago, taking them both upstairs with him.
When he reached the door to her room, he hesitated a bit, before knocking slowly, choosing to not open the door as he usually would, not wanting to anger her more.
"Errm, G-geko-chan? I made some food... If you w-want some...?" He trailed off, not sure how to end the sentence. He still thought he must've pissed her off somehow, and wanted to make up for it. And he had made more than enough food, anyway.
