Nagisa nodded as the girl managed to complete the final required jutsu. "Alright, it's time for your test... I think i'll keep things simple this time. If you manage to touch me, then I will deem you worthy of a rank. Use whatever tricks you have access to. I will fight at chuunin level, and will not use any jutsu." with a bow she lead the way back into the academy park. She needed to choose a better place to do these things... still, no kids were at the academy today so as long as they cleaned up their mess all would be okay. "Begin when you are ready"

Nagisa waited for the girl to show up and sighed. She was standing in the "field" rather than the actual play area this time, and decided she might as well study some more Aburame techs. As clan head as well as village Jounin, it would be a good idea to be as skilled in the use of her kikaichuu beetlses as possible. Almost automatically now, the bugs slid out of her cloak and surrounded her in a dark cloud. Nagisa reached into her bag and pulled out the Aburame scroll once more and glanced at it. "First let's practice Kikaichuu spy"

((because up until now it hasnt been an actual jutsu, but Nagisa has used it multiple times I am simply saying she is practicing it. Pardon the crappy post, this one doesn't really include that much work on the user's part.))

One of the many beetles flew across the park and attached itself to a gossiping teen in the street. Nagisa left it a small reserve of chakra so that it could "eat" and waited for it's return as she read over the list of jutsu looking for something new. Nothing in particular stood out, Nagisa decided to teach herself a jutsu. As she pondered the possibilities her bug returned and gave her all collected information. "Great, she's going to break up with her boyfriend, what useful information..." NAgisa rolled her eyes and went back to thinking.

"I need something tactical, that takes advantage of an Aburame's abilities and perhaps a taste of my own genjutsu abilities to pull it all together..." Nagisa pondered a bit... The obvious choice was a trap of some sort. "Well, let's keep it simple then" she muttered as she summoned a "swarm" of her bugs. "What seals should I use... I need to lay the genjutsu on a bugs in such a way that it activates when they stop moving..." She experimented with various seal sets before finally settling on one that seemed to suit the purposes. She wasn't quite sure "why" she decided on that particular seal set, but it seemed right. Like making a grammatical sentence, it wasn't always obvious why the sentence worked, it just did.

Nagisa performed the seals and "lent" the genjutsu chakra to the bugs before sending them to hide on the ground directly in front of her. The small black cloud streamed itself over and lay on the ground in a large clump, while Nagisa attempted to mold the genjutsu to make them appear to be nothing more than another rock in the field. After a moment's concentration Nagisa frowned. The chakra wasn't there... she slapped herself in the head. The bugs of course ate it, she needed to try cloaking them after they landed. That would be a little less convenient, but it would do for now.

Looking to the bundle of bugs, Nagisa formed the seals once more and directed the chakra at them, untill they blurred a bit, and a rock stood in between them. "Damn! cluster closer you morons!" she blurted, and as ordered the bugs clustered inside the illusion and it became real. So in effect this was just another version of the changing surroundings genjutsu. Nagisa poked at the rock and it burst into a swarm of bugs who instantly attached to her sleeve before recognizing the chakra. This trap would indeed be effective in the right situation...

((normally i'd draw out the post count for inventing jutsus, but due to tactical mind and her genjutsu speciality it seemed appropriate to keep it relatively short...))

Nagisa looked back and saw that her student still hadn't shown up for the test. "I'm not going to wait forever, I guess if she wants to take the test she can find me." She turned and headed in the direction of the training field where she could train properly. she needed to learn some more ninjutsu.

It was just another day at the Academy, Aiko had spent the better part of her childhood in this place learning what it meant to be a Shinobi and to learn the basics needed to become a full fledged Ninja. Making her way into the classrooms, she noticed that it was unusually empty, even the Sensei wasn't there. Thinking that she might have arrived early, she took her seat and waited to see if anyone would show themselves. While she waited, she played with a sheet of paper, folding and unfolding it into various shapes and objects.

As the instructor entered the classroom and introduced herself, Aiko stood and bowed, "I'm Aiko Mizrahi" she spoke softly. Before Aiko even realized what was going on, she was bound to a chair, by the supposed instructor, kinda harsh for a training exercise, but she figured that this was to test her. She struggled against the rope with just brute force, her arms wiggled from side to side and she pulled up and down but it was to no avail, the instructor made the knot much to tough to get out by using just force. She then glanced at the board and read about the Jutsu. It then hit her that she had to use chakra to loosen the rope, which shouldn't be too much of a problem for her, her chakra control was pretty good.

Closing her eyes and placing two fingers against the ropes, she began to gather her chakra into her hands, then into just her two fingers, which began to glow with a blueish aura as the chakra manifested. Holding it for a moment, she then tried to transfer the chakra into the rope, which wasn't much of a problem, as it began to glow just as her fingers did. She then struggled against the rope trying to get free, but again to no avail, it was still locked tight, 'Stupid rope' she thought to herself.

Taking a moment to process her next options, she read and reread the instructions looking for anything that she may have missed. Placing her fingers against the rope again, she focused her chakra into her fingers then into the rope, this time, she attempted to pull on the rope. The rope slipped just slightly but then she lost her concentration and the jutsu released prematurely. Determined, she tried once more, she now knew what was necessary and it was just a matter of focus. With the chakra in her fingers she touched the rope and it began to flow through the rope, then focusing further the rope began to slip slowly until she was able to wiggle her hands from its binding. Standing she then turned her attention to the locked box in front of her.

When the student finished her jutsu Rieko sighed. She was hoping it would take longer, then she could just fail the student and have her go through the academy again next year. Alas, she managed to escape the bonds, and access the empty box. "Alright, data collected during your time in the academy suggests you already have the potential to access both Doton and Suiton elements. I do not know Suiton, so we will have to settle for Doton for now." She opened a door in the back of the classroom leading outside. "I think it would be best if we went outside for this."

When they were both outside, and a reasonable distance from anything important, Rieko demonstrated the handseals for the first jutsu. "This one is 'Doton: Iwa Tounyuu no Jutsu' it is more or less the basic doton jutsu. You must learn to distinguish your doton chakra and use it to affect the rock." A nearby pebble raised in the air and flew towards the young AS.

(( I won't teach you all of the Doton techniques available to you right now, but you will have a reasonable amount of jutsu to work with. look through the AS level doton techniques and pick out any you are specifically interested in. Nice training posts.))

"This one will take a forceful burst of chakra, Doton is unrelenting. Where other elements tend to dodge and attack Doton stands strong. It is bad at offensive jutsu, but powerful for defense. Understand the nature of the chakra you are using, and you will find it easier to perform your jutsu." Rieko hoped that the young girl wouldn't understand. If she quit now, Rieko could return home early and have some relaxation time.

Doroku Gaeshi (Earth Release: Rock Shield)
Description: In the jutsu, the user lifts up a giant piece of earth and uses it as a shield. For every rank, the shield grows 5 feet by 5 feet, and thickens by 3 inches.
