Garbhan, in all of his years, had never felt so overwhelmed. It was disturbing, originally, when he was merely surrounded by Guiseppi, Shadowpaw, and Uriyu. Now there was a Lizard... Thing. One that rendered his senses useless. This, obviously, bothered Garbhan. There was also another presence inside the massive building, who seemed to be minding his own. Which he did not anticipate from anyone at this school. He didn't like unpredictable people much. This was also an irritant. But what really, truly irked him was the Vampire. 'Nuff said. Wolves and Vamps never got along. Ever. Simple as that. So, adding together these strange ingredients, the result was a very, very odd compound. In stead of being short tempered, snappy, and angry... Garbhan was eerily calm.
As Shadowpaw was quickly dispersed by Scales-a name Garbhan thought appropriate of the man who even elongated his S's with a hiss of sorts-Garbhan shifted into his Were form quickly. He, in a fierce, predatory lope, made his way over to the fallen form of Shadowpaw. Flicking her ears lightly as he did so. Whether this was a would-be punishment, or a sign of affection, wasn't truly clear. Standing closer to her, one would see that Garbhan stood the better part of a foot taller than Shadowpaw in her Were form--If not 2. Turning himself to face the Vampire squarely, he eyed her. Strangely.
Nothing in his eyes showed hate. Nothing showed compassion. His eyes were devoid of all emotion; eerily so. He merely regarded her in an absolute unreadable expression. The air around him seemed still, giving off as much information as his eyes. His stance was one of complete neutrality, a rare thing from a Lone Wolf. After nearly 10 minutes, Garbhan seemed to unfreeze. He began to breathe again, though whether he was breathing silently before, or not at all was yet to be determined. His eyes flicked back to Shadowpaw, and they crucially examined her, looking for any sort of wound. Satisfied, finding nothing, he stood beside Shadowpaw. Still calm, still expressionless, Garbhan waited for something to happen.

Not missing a beat Uriyu walked forward, Realizing that after Garbhans calm lope the worst was over. "Well, now that thats over whats say we get to business so we can move on." he said with a smile. He seemed completely at ease and relaxed as if strolling through a park he owned under armed gaurd. In reality his senses took in every little detail they picked up. His sensitive hearing even picking up on the light breathing of guisspi on the other side of the room.

He shook his head. Not only was he so far out of the loop that he didn't know what had truly caused the bickering, no one had noticed him there. Deciding to take the initiative, He grabbed the girl's hand and lightly pulled her away from the Wolves, saying "Come." Once they got around a corner and a dozen feet down the hall, he quietly spoke. "I need you to show me something, I need to find the weapons vault. I imagine you know where it is and the lizard man spoke with some authority, so I'm removing one of his problems."

Shadowpaw glared up at the large form of Garbhan standing over her. She flicked her ears up, growling lightly as she remembered the tingling sensation that ran down her spine as he flicked her ear. She reached back and nosed the cloak tied around her leg and looked around for a place to change.
Seeing the masked man known as Asmusei come over and grab the little vampire and walk down the hall she mused over what was going on with them. She slipped down the opposite hall and quickly shifted and slipped into the cloak. Walking back she looked to Hsaaith, "Sir, I am sorry that I struck out, it was below me. I would give an apology but it seems she has been whisked away. But we should look to the mission ahead of us, are we to work as a group, Professor?"

May 2006 Kyu Asahi woke up suddenly to a loud banging on the doors of her small studio apartment filled with mostly weapons. Her eyes were wide open as she grabbed her most favored gun that lay under her pillow. 'I knew someone was watching me...' Kyu walked in a stand-by position, moving slowly towards her door that was still being knocked on. She took a quick peek into the peep hole, seeing about four or five men in black waiting impatiently for an answer. She swung the door open and cocked her gun at the man standing right in front of her. "Who are you, and what do you want?" Kyu's voice was cautious and serious. Had they came for her weapons? She was only 14 in human years, which made it illegal for her to own any. Were they here to kill her? What had she done?
The man with the gun pointed at his shiny forehead pulled out an ID badge that didn't say FBI, CSI, NSA, or even show that he was part of the government. It was just some badge. "And?" Kyu asked with anticipation. Another man who stood behind him cleared his throat and walked towards Kyu, making her move her gun facing him. "Ahem... We are here on behalf of the ZDC-XII." He cleared his throat again. "Our purpose here is to "collect" you because we believe you have certain abilities that the norm do not obtain. We'll be testing your skills at our base." Kyu shook her head in confusion. "What is this, an act? I've never heard of ZDC-XII!" Kyu squinted her eyes at the men. She watched as they whispered amongst each other. "Don't worry, Kyu. This will only hurt for a bit." A man said, knocking her unconscious in a matter of seconds before she could even say something back.
Kyu gasped out loud, waking up yet again by the sounds of banging. Well, of her head banging against the glass of the car door. It took her moments to figure out where she was. It was probably about mid-noon, by the looks of where the sun was. She looked behind her to see what was behind the car. At least two more cars. Kyu looked back to the front, tapping the man who was sitting shotgun on his shoulder. "What are you doing? Let me go you filthy, bald, creeps." Kyu said, insulting the men in black. "Listen, Kyu--" Kyu interrupted the man, "And how do you even know my name?" The man sighed and began talking again. "We've been keeping watch on you for a while, and we think you have have special abilities that could be very useful for our project." He said quickly so she wouldn't interrupt him again. "I knew it. No wonder I felt as if some stalker wouldn't let me off." Kyu glared at the backseat of where the man sat. "And what is this project you speak of?" she questioned. He exchanged a look with the one driving, and turned around to face Kyu. "You'll find out when we get there."
November 2006 It had been six months since Kyu had been found by ZDC-XII, and brought to their base. She was gathered among about 60 others with her, most likely with powers that normal human beings could not manipulate. They were sent here, all told that they'll find out what their purpose was later, and immediately put to training. And they have yet to be told what the hell was going on. Some trained hard and some didn't even believe that they were here, putting little effort in their training but still clearly capable of strength. Kyu was one of the more determined ones, and tried to nail it into the lazy people to work harder.
Currently, the assembly of races were brought together in a simulation facility. The purpose of the past six months of training was to participate in a Great Race that tested their physical and mental abilities. "The first twelve that finish will be the captains of the twelve special units. The first person will be the captain of Special Unit: Rat, the second will be of Special Unit: Ox, etc." A man with a white lab coat stated. "The second round of twelve will be the vice-captains. Same order. And the rest who don't make it in either, end up as sub-ordinates." He finished. 'So... I guess all that work was for something after all.' Kyu smirked. She had a feeling she'd do pretty well for someone her age. Amongst themselves, there were only a few that were in their teenage years. The rest were above 20 years old. Kyu breathed in, and exhaled after a few seconds, getting herself ready. "I can so do this." She assured herself.
Three Months Later It had been about three months since the Great Race. Kyu had recently turned 15, and she was already the captain of Special Unit: Monkey. What amazed the scientists, and the rest of the crew members in just about every Unit was how skilled Kyu was. She was born in the Year of the Monkey, her name also meant nine. The Monkey was 9th in the Chinese Zodiac. Being captain of Special Unit: Monkey was probably the perfect place for her after becoming a bakeneko with nothing much else to do.
Kyu was friendly, yet controlling. She was able to discipline her band of members without getting them to hate her guts. Special Unit: Monkey was probably one of the most well-knit team. They were comfortable amongst each other, but still knew when to be serious at the right times. With such an evenly matched group, and a great big family of teams, there wasn't much that could stop the ZDC-XII. Each Unit had a task to play, and they were damn good at doing it. Keeping it a secret about who was behind fixing all the problems that happened out on the streets, underground, just about anywhere, from the government was simple to cover up. And being in disguise was even easier. ZDC-XII was a hidden organization, with not many worries to be concerned about.
April 2010 Someone in the organization couldn't be trusted. Kyu, and many others felt the tension rising. The feeling just couldn't be erased, so the president of ZDC-XII spoke up. "Alright. Now, I think everyone around here is getting suspicious of someone in our organization. We don't know who it is, and we don't know why they want to do what it is they want to do." The man said slowly, his voice was clear but was starting to age. "If anyone has any idea who it could be, then please, do speak up." He finished with a smile.
Suddenly, the leader of the Special Unit: Snake scoffed loudly. "You really are dumb." A wave of murmurs began to occur amongst the crowd of teammates. "What? No one agrees?" He said, with another scoff. "Listen, old man. You really don't get how painful it is to be working so hard all the time, do you? All you ever do is sit around in your damn office giving orders! You don't even bother showing up on the day of recruiting!" He taunted the president. "How much longer do I have to stay here until I can leave? I was fine before I got here, anyway!" The captain started walking through the crowd, getting closer to the president. "Are you even planning on letting us go? I left without a word to my family, you a*****e!" The president gave a light smile, "You could have given them a call, if you asked me. Three years, and you don't even bother to ask about it. Your family should be worried about you. Or maybe they have forgotten." The captain grimaced, and hissed at the aging man. "Don't you talk about my family like that! I never have the time to even ask you! It's always the same thing everyday. Wake up, eat, train, mission, eat, sleep. There is no free time for me!" He started to raise his voice. "Well, I've been writing to my family for the past few years. I don't see why you haven't thought of that, you dumb s**t. I'll bet your family has forgotten about you." A member of the Special Unit: Dog spoke up, agreeing with what the president had said earlier. "I... Well... I still can't stand being put through all this without having a say!" The captain of S.U. Snake grumbled. "Who's the dumb one now, eh?" Kyu rolled her eyes. "Listen up, buddy. If you don't like the way you are now, you could have stepped away three years ago. You willingly JOINED this organization knowing what we would be doing." Kyu's face was stern. "You willingly took your job as a captain. For three years, you willingly let go of your family. What place do you have to start complaining now, after all these years? What gives you the right?" Kyu lectured him. No one else spoke up, so she continued. "Do you think this is some child's game? What can you possibly do to threaten us? It's You against the entire organization! I think you know who has the advantage here." She smirked smartly at him, hearing a few cheers of agreement from the others surrounding the two. "Hah... That's what you think." He said quietly at first, but repeated himself louder. "That's what you think! You think I just said this without planning beforehand? Don't underestimate the Captain of the Snake." He grinned evilly. "What are you talking about" Kyu glared at him. The president's eyes widened and shook his head, "No... No! You didn't!"
Kyu exchanged looks with her team mates, shrugging. What did the president mean? "Oh, I did, old man. I just won't put up with this shithole any longer." He smiled, "And my whole team agrees." The president inhaled, and closed his eyes. His plan of making the world his Utopia was shattered. The plan was to clean the world up slowly, in secret so that there would be no one to blame, not even the government knew. But it was pretty much useless to continue. "Sir, what is he talking about? What did he do?!" Kyu yelled at the president. She, and everyone else, wanted to know.
The president furrowed his brows, and sighed. "My Utopia, it's not happening."
Six Months Later Things were finally wrapped up now, and silently, ZDC-XII disbanded. Everyone either went back to their normal lives, or continued in the background biz. Kyu was 18 years old now, but she was still able to go to school. Well, she probably didn't need to be educated, so there really was no point in teaching her anything. Her experience was nicely made. Since Kyu was one of the younger of the organization, she, along with a small group of others, were relocated to different schools all over the world. Kyu was relocated to "Unwelcome Boulder", not to be a student, but to be a teacher. 'I wonder how that will go...' She pondered the thought of being a teacher barely older than her students. Kyu had a small feeling that she might not be taken seriously, but so long as she's teacher, she'd just have to drill it into the students' heads that she was well fit for a teacher.
Today Kyu let out a sigh of relief. She could see the smallest bit of the top of Unwelcome Boulder's building. It definitely was a big one, since she still had to travel a distance. Kyu had probably been walking most of her way to the school. They say she was relocated, but really, she was doing all the locating herself. "Couldn't even give me a damn ride." Kyu muttered under her breath, while stretching out her leg muscles. 'Humans... They probably wouldn't even last walking one whole literal day.' She pouted. Instead of continuing to walk with her two legs, Kyu gave a little run, and crouched down suddenly which let her into a somersault.
A silver-blue cat started pacing with ever-so-gentle paw steps, as if no girl was standing a few feet back just a moment ago, 'Oh, this feels a lot better...' Kyu's plum coloured eyes sparkled. She started to speed walk, and slowly transitioned into running speed. It felt so much quicker, and smoother running as a cat. Trees... Trees... and Oh! More trees. The school was just about as hidden as ZDC-XII's secret base, only, it was above ground. Not under ground. 'I hope everyone is doing fine...' Kyu would definitely miss her team, being a captain, and just the environment at the organization in general. Before it was starting to fall apart, of course.
When a pathway and gate was in view, Kyu slowed down her running and let herself catch her breath. She could tell that there was a huge barrier around the school, and maybe a few kilometers away from it too. If Kyu wasn't effected in any way, the headmistress probably was expecting her arrival. The way the barrier worked was quite smart, Kyu thought. She decided to take this time to inspect her surroundings before actually touching school grounds. Kyu leaped back into human form, and leaned against the closest tree. She gathered as much water in the air around her to float as a ball right in front of her face, making it easy for her to drink the water. Kyu heard a shuffling noise, so she quietly gulped down the last of the water, and slid out one of her guns from her holster. Kyu turned to face the noise of the shuffling, took a shot, and hid behind the tree again. She heard nothing else so she walked up to where she had shot. 'Just a squirrel...' Kyu blew off part of its head and arm. She poked at it, but there was no reaction; not even a twitch. 'Looks like I won't be needing to put an end to its misery. Kyu stood up and walked away from the squirrel, leaping back into cat form. It wouldn't take her much longer to reach the school, now. [[ oh lawd. I totally half-assed the story line. :l btw, for anyone who wants to know, ZDC-XII stands for Zodiac Twelve. Weird name, yeah? ]]

Rina flicked her tongue and the lollipop in her mouth turned around. Her katana was on her waist, in plain sight, where it always was. This was her second year at Unwanted Boulder, and she rather liked this Academy. People here weren't like most people. They didn't get scared when they realized she almost never showed emotions, and they weren't easy to read like most people. And better yet, they were strong. Strong enough to not fear her. Yeah, she rather liked this Academy. It was where she belonged. She was standing in the hall, looking up. The new people looked up as well to see what she was staring at and, finding nothing, they commented on how weird her behavior was. The ones who had seen her before didn't find it awkward. They knew she was an oddball. And the ones who actually knew her, well, some of them even found her cute, in a pet-like way. Since she was so tiny and obedient, in her own way, much like a puppy.

((I'm sorry I didn't get on to post this weekend! I was at an anime convention and unable to get online until just now.))
Guiseppi sighed at the behavior of the wolves and the vampire, shaking his head lightly. At least, though, it was over. He really didn't understand why they acted like such animals when they saw each other--the hate he could understand, though. He himself had a few people that he'd never be able to get along with. But what was done was done; now he looked to Hsaaith and waited for further instruction before they were to start their mission.

Hsaaith just continued to stare at Shadowpaw, despite the fact that she was literally standing with her tail between her legs. Hsaaith had hoped that she would have shown more promise than she had. But in as little as 5 minutes she had gone from playing with small animal spirits to turning into a blood-thirsty killer. Her anger wasn't her downfall, it was the fact that she let it control her. Even if she was truly sorry, Hsaaith judged people by their actions, not their words. He had seen too many liars and cheats in his time to ever trust anything other than the cold facts of one's history. It was for this reason that Hsaaith simply turned away from Shadowpaw, as well as the other students, and began to walk slowly away from them. His voice was flat and uncarring as he addressed Shadowpaw's assurances that this would be her last outburst. "Wordsssss like glassss. Hollow. Break eassssy. Ssssshow me, not ssssay." Hsaaith strode towards the massive wooden doors that framed Unwelcome Boulder's main entrance, and unceremoniously threw them open before him as he marched out into the grounds. He spoke louder behind him, making sure that all of the students could hear his instructions. "We move. Now."
Hsaaith's mood was far from cheery, and it showed in his motions, though not in the usual way. Hsaaith had trained years ago to not allow his emotions to control his actions. As such, whenever he felt angry or sad and he knew that he had a mission to complete, he would train his body to go into a highly focused state. His mind was working faster than normal, his body was fluid yet tense, his steps precise and strong, though as quiet as a feather dropping to the floor. Hsaaith truly was one of the greatest assassins at the school.
But Hsaaith had a job to do, and he wasn't about to let these new students screw up any more while they were still on school grounds. Hsaaith reached into a pouch he kept around his waist, and pulled from it a small, black orb. Hsaaith threw the orb at the ground in front of him, and as soon as it made contact it exploded into a cloud of inky black dust. Without missing a beat Hsaaith strode directly into the dust, and a short burst of blue lighting coursed through the folds of the cloud. As the dust settled, it was clear that a portal had oppened on the ground where the pellet had landed. The center was pitch black, and the edges seethed and crackled with a dark blue energy. Sounds of a city at night could be heard on the other end of the portal, and the scents of smoke, dirty water and steel wafted out of the swirling abyss.
The student's first mission had begun.
Meanwhile...
The Headmistress was in her office, standing in front of the big bay window that overlooked the entire school grounds. It mattered not that she had lost her sight many centuries ago, she had other ways to see. And as it was she was seeing that one of her professors was disappearing into a portal he had opened up in the middle of the school's grounds. Perivia smiled to herself when she noticed that it was Hsaaith. He had always been one of her favorite colleagues. He was quiet, precise, and efficient. He was kind when he could be, and hard when he needed to be. He was loyal to the school and also to her. But most importantly of all, he had no desire to become Headmaster and steal the position away from her. That was by far his most endearing quality in Perivia's eyes, and it had served well for the many years he had been with the school.
But as it was something else would take Perivia's attention away from watching the new students embark on their first mission. Perivia actually saw it happen before it occured, and the event made her smile slightly once more. It appeared that their new Firearms teacher had reached campus. Perivia had been looking forward to her arrival for quite some time. Perivia had been in close contact with ZDC-XII, and she was quite impressed by the roster they had managed to find for themselves. More than a few of the members had been graduates of Unwelcome Boulder, and it made Perivia proud to know that they had been chosen for such a noble cause. Perivia had actually asked for Kyu personally. After looking at her records she was sure the Kyu would make an excellent addition to the school.
Perivia decided to welcome their new guest informally by sending her a note. Perivia calmly turned around, and after simply waving a finger at her desk, a piece of parchment vanished in a puff of dark smoke. The note would then reappear in Kyu's jacket pocket, and as it took form, dark words would weave themselves onto the page.
Miss Kyu Asahai,
Welcome to Unweclome Boulder.
It seems that you have found your way to the school's campus fairly easily. If you haven't already passed through the barrier, I would ask that you meet me in my office. We have much to discuss.
My office is in the tallest tower of the school. It's rather hard to miss.
Will see you soon, Perivia Umbranox, Headmistress

Shadowpaw felt disappointed in herself but she pushed herself past it the best she could in the situation. She hung back next to the hulking form of Garbhan still standing next to her in his eerie calm. She quietly muttered under her breath just loud enough for Garbhan to hear, "A lot of help he is, hu? I ask a question and he doesn't even answer it."
She really wasn't an angry person when it came down to it, but the second year student should have known that the information in the folder was for the group's first mission. Why didn't the professor not step in and say something when the vampire came over? The question and others like it ran through her head, but she shook it clear. Now wasn't the time for things like that, she had prey to hunt. She looked up at Garbhan and smiled, "I'm sure you probably want to shift into your human form if you have one. Or your wolf. I don't think people where we're going can handle a werewolf right now."
She looked over at Guiseppi and sighed, he would probably be the head of this operation seeing how he seemed to be more educated then the rest of the group. At lest at the school, he seemed to walk with an air of grace that normally came with knowing what your doing and where your going. She could see with the others there was still a hint of skittishness that lingered in their steps.
She stood with the one person who she knew that she could trust and waited for Garbhan to move to the cloud of smoke before she moved. She could tell that the professor wasn't happy with her so why try to linger around him. She would try her best to only be seen when she needed to be, because there was no reason to call anymore attention to her faults.

Uriyu Heard the end of the conversation before hearing the doors thrown open. Naturally he went out the doors after them. Soon after he felt the surge of magic as the portal opened. His smile broadening as the sounds of a city drifted through to him. Taking a deep breath he ran forward doing a Handspring into the portal to try to warm up his muscles... and because it was allot of fun.

Guiseppi rolled his eyes at Uriyu's show, even though he could not do such a display of gymnastics himself. With a final mental check of everything upon his person, Guiseppi stepped authoritatively through the portal, his shoes clicking in a way that made him sound (and feel) important. He could sense that he was the most used to the missions here of all the students, and as such he simply assumed that he would take alpha role. He didn't care if the others trusted him or not; they just had to follow his orders.
Besides, he was an expert on underground dealings. He could probably locate the drug den within the first thirty minutes and get them a meeting or the like within an hour. Of course, one also had to add some time to fix up disguises and create an acceptable background for each alias. He was thinking of putting Uriyu as their own... person of interest, per se. A decoy of sorts.

With people slowly leaving, Garbhan felt his calm slipping. Pulling away. A small part of him was saddened by the fact that it was fleeing, but the miniscule emotion quickly faded as Garbhan snapped back to his true self. Looking around as if seeing the place for the first time, he growled quietly. A non-expert would think it a threat, but a trained ear, or another wolf, would know it was Garbhan warning everyone he was moving out. Looking once more to Shadowpaw, he nodded, and his body began to shrink. His fur retracted into the pores of his new, peach skin. His claws shrunk into well groomed nails, fingers and toes. His snout pressed against his skull, a symphony of cracks and snaps emanating from his entire body. Within 5 seconds, there stood a human male, somewhat attractive, and standing at roughly 6'7". Naked. Garbhan made no move to cover his nudity; he didn't care what people saw. He knew, from experience, that his Human form had no true weaknesses to spot. Nothing to elude to his downfall. And as was such, he cared not who saw what. Reaching down, he undid the strap of a large, blue-gray bandage, the same color as his fur. It had blended perfectly in his Were, and Wolf form. With a small smile, that never reached his darting eyes, he began to dress: pulling on fingerless, tight, leather gloves, followed by a tight, black undershirt of a strange, silk looking material. Plain jeans, with knees of a lighter white, showing where they had been worn out. A pair of black sneakers, and an orange, cutoff, light jacket over the top. Finally, he clipped a small, black collar around his neck. On it was what at first appeared to be a white cross, but one would notice the horizontal lines were the same length of the vertical ones, making it more of an addition sign. Looking at his attire, he nodded. With another growl, one that was incapable of coming from a purely human throat, he began to walk forward, expecting Shadowpaw to stay beside him. Reaching the portal, his sensitive nose wrinkled. He smelled city-smells. Alcohol. Sex. Drugs. Metals, Brick. Sewage, humans, sweat, sugar. Smells both sweet and bitter. Smells that were pleasant, and very, very non-pleasant. With a shrug, he reached to take Shadowpaw's hand, and stepped into the portal, Shadowpaw by his side. He had trusted her this much. And he knew this would, one day, be his undoing. It was only a matter of time.

When Kyu was only a few steps away from the gates of Unwelcome Boulder, she rolled from cat form to human form. Sticking her hands into her pocket, a piece of rough paper came in contact with her hand. 'What is this?' Kyu raised an eyebrow, not remembering she had left any paper in her pockets. She brought it out and unfolded it. The face of it had nothing on it so she was about to stick it back into her pocket until a few black words starting to reveal itself. The note was from the headmistress of Unwelcome Boulder. 'I suppose the barrier is connected with her in some way.' Kyu nodded her head lightly. She folded the parchment back up neatly and looked right up to see the highest point of the academy. Kyu walked right in front of the walls of the school rather than the door. She touched it to inspect its texture, seeing if it was rough enough. 'I guess climbing it will be faster than finding the right stairwell to her office.' Kyu figured. Being trained in any kind of circumstance allowed her to know how to climb steep edges or walls. It wasn't like every mission she was sent on had stairs or elevators for her to utilize. Kyu set her foot on a larger brick of the wall, testing out how it will hold her weight before actually climbing. "You've done this a thousand times, let's go." She said quietly to herself. Her lightness was an advantage, so it was highly unlikely that the whole school would crumble down whilst climbing the rocks.
Kyu was already halfway to the office, taking her only about seven minutes to climb such a distance. Any sudden or wrong move will make her instantly fall and serious injures would occur right then and there. Kyu took a deep breath. There was now more of a slant since she was nearing the roof. She decided to shape-shift back into a cat so that slipping wouldn't be all that nerve-wracking. Kyu spent the next four or five minutes climbing the steep but acute roof. It was much faster than Kyu had expected it to be, but being in her cat form was probably why it sped up the process. She hopped up onto the Headmistress Perivia's window sill, swaying her tail from left to right, showing a little excitement for her accomplishment. Kyu knocked on the glass with her small paw in order to show that she was not going to be showing up in front of the door, but behind the window.

Shadowpaw brushed Garbhan's naked shoulder while he was getting dressed. It was a sign of affection and closeness that only pack members normally did. Realizing what she did she drew back slightly letting him dress in peace. Puzzling over why she felt so close to him she didn't notice that she followed him up to the portal. Wrinkling her nose against the stink of the city, she growled in anger at the smells that hit her like a brick. She looked to Garbhan as he reached for her hand, with a happy smile she took it and walked through the portal to the city.

Perivia had already sat down at her desk and was looking over some documents while she was waiting for Kyu to arrive at her office. Perivia heard the faint sounds of padded feet against the stained glass window and smiled softly to herself. Without looking away from the papers she made a small waving motion with her hand. Immediately the window swung open gently into the room, allowing Kyu passage into Perivia's office. Perivia continued to glance at the papers on her desk as she spoke softly, yet authoritatively to Kyu. "Please, sit down. You must be tired from climbing halfway up the tower all by yourself. And without those claws even."
Yes, she had seen Kyu climb up the tower all by her lonesome. Perivia saw many things, most of which she hoped she'd never seen. But her innocence had long since been shattered, and there wasn't much that phased her anymore. Although an 18 year old girl climbing all the way up Unwelcome Boulder's 30 story tower by herself certainly merited some praise.
Not much, but enough.
The portal had emptied out into a dark back alley on the city streets of Prague. In the distance there was a light coming from the main street, which was broken periodically by passerby. There were many people out tonight, and many of them seemed to be looking for excitement. All around them were the echoing sounds of the city's nightlife. Cars howling at each other, people laughing and chatting with themselves, the sizzle of food being grilled and the faint undertone of a deep bass beat being repeated rhythmically. Somewhere in this city there was a drug cartel, most likely either partying or scoring their next payday. And if all went well, many a junkie wouldn't be worrying about their next fix in the morning.
As it was Hsaaith had hidden himself immediately as soon as he had stepped through the portal. He was currently leaning up against a stone wall that looked over the small opening where the students would land in once they passed through the portal. Hsaaith had left a small piece of paper in the center of the open space, having already scrawled a short message on it before he even set off for the mission this evening. It read as thus:
Guiseppi is in charge. Get to work.
Hsaaith was still not in a great mood, not after the outburst from before. If the students wanted his respect they'd have to earn it. And they might as well start now. Time was wasting.
