Unfortunately, his words did not reach her anymore. Her world had blackened.
She could hear her heartbeat only, and the unending babble of the dead spirits inside her pervading her thoughts. She could feel her own voice dwindling, disappear. No...I don't want this, no...
Haveni stood before the shocked Noctis, still, as if a lifeless puppet. Her fingers twitched slowly, and she slowly peered up at him. With a woosh, she had thrown herself upon him, wrapping her arms around him as if in a tight embrace, her face buried against his chest.
"You won't kill me," she murmured, barely a whisper. "You won't." Black mist seemed to ooze from her body, a dark aura, which wrapped around Noctis and sunk into him. Flashes of the dead spirits which were in her would be seen in his mind, horrifying, painful. Feelings of emptiness and bitterness, heartbreak and loneliness. Cold, and dark.
She had cursed him.

"What... have we... here?"
The last word came out as a whisper, as Loki stared on at the scene. The inn had been lit aflame, and the sight and smell had drawn him toward it. Of course, if anything were to happen, it would be while he was away. Yet, he was thankful for choosing not to book a room in the hotel. It looked like it would have been troublesome, to be in the middle of it all without any direct control.
His hands clenched and unclenched into loose fists at his sides, and he danced from one foot to another uncertainly. Gods, a fight had obviously broken out, and he had missed it. Or perhaps it was still going on?
He didn't know where to jump in, however; all he knew was that he wanted to get in on that action, before it was over and before the night became boring once more.
Turning his head, he looked just in time to witness something he didn't understand.
The white woman - the one from before - had clutched onto a male, and... something black, then what? He had no idea what was going on, but he recognized the girl who hadn't introduced herself, and something certainly seemed off. Stepping back, he bounded forward, past the others and near her. He kept a short distance, tilting his head at the two. What was going to happen to the raven-haired boy? And what was wrong with the girl from before?
I come from below, I think.
His eyes widened a bit, and he studied the girl in front of him.
"You..." He shifted his weight to one leg, mouth hanging open a bit. "Who are you...?"

Noctis grinned, not fully comprehending what she was about to do. "C'mon babe, if you wanted a hug you could get it anytime---" Before he knew it, he was enveloped within a black aura. He held up his hands from behind Haveni's back, his own vision suddenly getting blurry. He.. He.. couldnt see his hands. There was something in him--- not himself.
Breaking himself from her embrace, he staggered back, near Loki. Every step was like walking with a stone wall.. Everything just felt so dark and heavy-- "S-s**t-- Don't.. go near her.. Damnit.. Something's-- wrong.." Those were the last sane words he uttered before his knees hit the ground roughly, bent down on the ground in an undignified position, writhing in pain. His fingers clenched into a fist, dirt marks gathering all over his hands and coat. It was so damn painful-- so lonely-- He was losing his sense of self. He knew he was. Even when he went berserk, he still clearly knew who he was. But now-- A sense of power overwhelmed him--but he didnt want this power. It felt like a dark massive monster, pulling him away from himself.
His hand clutched his red eye, as if trying to pull the eyeball from it's socket. Blood dripped down, as his fingers exerted more pressure. He didnt know what he was doing anymore. All he knew was that he was in a shitty crapload of pain and lost within the darkness.

He gasped quietly, his breath catching in his throat.
While Loki enjoyed a good trick here and there, something about this was... malicious. Horrible. Dark. He watched as Noctis stagged back, heard the words he said to him, but only stared as he fell to his knees. He seemed to be in such pain - what on Midgard had she done to him?
Fighting the urge to run, now, and watch from a safe distance, Loki knelt down next to Noctis, grasping at his shoulder roughly.
"Stop it!" he commanded, trying to rip his hand from his eye. "Do you even know what you are doing?! You are going to rip your eye out!"
With some effort, he managed to pull his hand away at the wrist, staring oddly at the blood on it. Everything was so strange. What had happened?
What was going on? Was he supposed to run? Should he even be touching this boy?
Gods, everything was happening so fast.

Her face was expressionless as she watched Noctis fall back. Her voice inside was so small. What have I done?! What have I done?! Stop it, no more, no more! But she couldn't stop it.
Loki's words caught her attention. A smile curled on her mouth and she began to approach him. She didn't answer, but a small, soft giggle bubbled from her lips. It was somehow less than friendly, and eerie.
She was staggering, as if something was manipulating her body, and reached a hand out towards him. Blackness was swarming from her outstretched fingers. "Won't you...come here...eheh.."

"Wha... what?" He felt he was shrinking, and he could already tell tunnel-vision was resulting from his panic. All he saw was that hand, outstretched; he barely heard the words, panic seizing his chest.
"You... girl... what happened to you?" he asked, grasping Noctis' wrist much more tightly than intended. He had forgotten he was holding onto it, and the sensation of grasping something living seemed to bring him back to his senses. He quickly brought his head down to look at the boy, then tried to haul him up.
"Get up!" he cried, tugging at Noctis' arm. "Gods, get up! What are you doing?!"
Something about the way she walked was so... unnatural, like a puppet being pulled awkwardly by strings. It was frightening. He was so damn scared, but it wasn't right to leave the other one alone. She'd done something to him, but... he didn't even know what was wrong with her, to begin with!
What was he supposed to do...? And gods, why couldn't he move his legs?

Noctis stared at the blood on his hand. He wasn't ripping his eye out anymore.. But he wasn't quite himself either. He couldnt stop laughing. His eyes burnt a crimson red, darker than before, the yellow eye was now crimson as well. Noctis straightened up suddenly, shaking off Loki's grips. He held up a gun to Loki, a grin that was almost wider than his face, took over his previously stricken expression.
"Be a good little boy and sit there while I shoot your brains out--- Heh. What, cat got your leg? Wait.. that doesnt sound right. Either way.. Why don't you sit down for a little while?" His foot stepped down immediately on Loki's hand in a painful stomp, griding his foot down, intending to crush the bones in the other's hand.
"Scream, mudboy, scream." Where had Noctis gotten the nickname from? Probably Loki's brown color.
"HAHAHAHA. THIS IS WAY TOO FUN."

So this was what he got for trying to help someone?
"Hmph... ah!" He bit down on his lip, hard, tasting blood as he attempted to stifle a yell. It was fantastically ironic; he had gone out of his way to try to help someone, and they were holding some contraption to his head and threatening to shoot him.
The pain lanced up his arm in hot waves, and he squeezed his eyes shut, crying out. He jerked his arm, trying to retrieve it from Noctis' boot, but found that simply trying to move his hand caused him severe pain. He could feel the more delicate bones wanting to break in it, and he used his free hand to claw at Noctis' leg.
"Get off of me!" he muttered, blinking rapidly to regain his vision after squeezing his eyes so tightly. "Get the hell off of me! Why are you doing this?!"
Fun? No, fun was when he was having fun, not when he was getting his hand crushed.

Loki's stifled yells were so amusing. His words were even more so, "I wasnt on top of you. Except for my foot on your hand. Sorry mudboy but I don't swing that way." Noctis smirked as he said so, shoving the cold metal closer to Loki's head. "Why am I doing this?" He repeated, giving one last grind of his foot before he lifted it slightly.
He leaned in close, whispering in Loki's ear, raven black hair brushing against Loki's cheek.
"Didn't I already say so? Cause this s**t is fun." He whispered, cool metal sliding against Loki's cheek. He stepped back down again, having no intention of taking his foot off Loki's injured hand. He shot at the area next to Loki's hand, a bug suddenly splattered.

He didn't bother to listen to Noctis' joke, feeling very much like he would love nothing more than to get his hand away from that damnable boot. Yet, it was strange; he couldn't. Something was different about this one. His strength seemed to be much more than that of any normal creature, and he couldn't get his hand away.
His eyes widened considerably when the metal thing let out a loud noise. Something seemed to have come out of it, and when he looked to where he had aimed it, a bug next to him was splattered against the ground. Okay, but what the hell was that? He shook his head quickly, tried to gather his thoughts and ignore the pain.
Raising his hand, he muttered something under his breath, and winced as he gained poor control over his own spell. The tips of his fingers glowed white-hot, heat gathering in his palm. All at once the flame burst forth, not nearly as powerful as he would have liked, and collided with Noctis' leg. The flame quickly attempted to eat up his leg, having difficulty with the material of the buckles, but clinging quickly to the ends of his coat and pantleg. It was a feeble attempt at best, but it was something.
He couldn't help but keep his eyes on the gun in Noctis' hand, still not sure what the hell it was or what it had shot out at him. It had ended that insect's life, which wasn't a large feat - but what would it do to him?
He certainly hoped he wouldn't have to find out.

She couldn't hold on much longer.
Her breath came in ragged gasps, each breath accompanied by a sharp jolt as waves of pain flooded through her body. Her arm was no longer an arm, but an endless burning mass of flame. She glanced down nervously at the blackened flesh, just to assure herself that orange flames weren't crawling on the surface.
Lightning began to streak through the air, the bolts of plasma lighting the surrounding area in ghostly flashes. The heat of her arm seemed to flood through her body. That sparking wench was back, and still alive. Thankfully, she had been distracted by the painting Constellation; she couldn't handle both her and Seir.
She glanced upwards, her eyes focusing on Seir's hand. It was reaching upward into the air, as if he was clutching onto some unseen object. Water began to race inwards towards his hand, appearing seemingly out of thin air. She widened her stance, holding her arms out in front of her. There were no doubts as to where that water was heading.
Her suspicions were quickly confirmed as the black-cloaked Constellation directed the flood of water towards her. It raced through the air, the great amount of force behind it apparent. Biting her tongue, she gathered air around herself, an invisible globe of wind. With a violent motion, she thrust her palms towards the oncoming wave. The air around her exploded outwards, colliding with the water with a massive crash.
Air droplets scattered throughout the sky, the wave decimated to a mere harmless rainfall. The drops against her burned arm stung, as if someone was burning her again with a thousand hot pokers. Her head swam with pain, and she bit her tongue to try and regain clarity. Soon, she tasted blood.
Voices below caught her attention, and her eyes flashed open as she looked downwards. Haveni was walking towards a Constellation she didn't recognize, her motions jerking and unnatural. Black smoke billowed around her, the vapory substance unnervingly lifelike. The gunslinger was tormenting the same Constellation, the fragments of his words that she could hear filled with joy at the pain he was causing. Something had happened. Something terribly, terribly wrong.
She turned back to look at Seir, her movements filled with urgency. She had begun to guess at what had happened to Haveni, and it terrified her. Someone needed to stop this before things got even worse.
"You have no idea what you've gotten yourself into!" she called, her voice almost near pleading. She pulled her arms closer into herself, then with a sharp movement, threw them towards Seir. A wave of air billowed towards him, the speed and force behind it making it akin to a brick wall.
A brick wall she fully hoped he would collide with.

Before finding Epona Keanu heard voices coming from the beach. It was late and dark, why would anyone go for a walk at this time? As he got closer he noticed the voices sounded agitated and it was then that he started running towards them. Shortly after he saw several constellations, he thought he could recognize a few of them and then he saw her. Haveni … wasn’t she supposed to be the candle maker? Yer, even in the dark Keanu could see there was something wrong about her and the other constellation who was near her. What was going on here?
Keanu took a deep breath and walked towards them and noticed a third constellation. He was covered in blood and looked like he was in pain. He recognized the two of them, Noctis and Loki, he had seen them only a couple of times but he remembered them. “Whats going on here?” Keanu ran towards Loki and Noctice, decided to help the first one. As soon as he spoke the sea started to stir and the waves became bigger even though there was no wind.

“No,” Seir murmured, voice flickering with pure amusement. The urge to destroy her wasn’t gone; in fact, it only upped a bit more when he realized that Nashara’s attention wasn’t focused on him. He was the threat to the air-girl’s life, right at that moment; it was a bit irksome to each flickering glance towards another direction. “I know very well what I’m getting into because I know what I want, and that is to make the world fall into chaos at my feet.” His vivid aqua eyes pinned her and watched her every move, acknowledging the attack motion by getting ready for his own.
When the air wavered in front of him, the dark constellation waved an arm to create a thick wall of water in front of him to meet the wind that rushed at him. He heard it crack loudly, slamming into it like a whale had been dropped on top it.
Seir felt it past by the water, though the wind only seemed to brush by him harmlessly. He toyed with the water, allowing it to coil and spin around him like a rippling snake. If Nashara had been in her top condition, it might have been possible to battle him in a more equal manner—or maybe not. “Of course,” he suddenly smiled, bloodlust fading. “You can try to stop her if you can.” The water stopped in mid spin and then shot at Nashara, pausing to rear back and then swing at her— much like a flyswatter—in the direction of the sand where Haveni and Noctis were at.
...or maybe at the sea-Phyri Seir saw at the corner of his eyes.
Aeos didn’t enjoy the end result of their plans.
Seir’s goal had been to drive Haveni back to this state of chaos. It seemed that she’d progressed and taken up Ruin’s ability to curse, a bit different from before. They hadn’t planned for Noctis to get in the way, and he wondered briefly what they would do about that. They had lost one of their allies; was it worth it? Insanity flickered in the gunslinger’s eyes, but Aeos stayed back in order to figure out whether the state was a mindless one or the type that would need to be coerced into submission.
Not the first time, Aeos wondered what Seir was getting him into.

A charming child. Taking long strides to follow her path up the beach and to the crowd outside the fallen inn, Azra'iel found his eyes scanning for faces he recognized. It was hard to see in the dying flames and the chaos of a large scale elemental battle, but after having kept himself blind for ages, his hearing was excellent.
And what he suddenly heard from somewhere in the center of this mess chilled him to the bone.
A laugh, a maniacal laugh that did not exactly fit the voice that had released it. Forgetting that he was going to keep half an eye on Rylia, the light Constellation pushed through the crowd, almost stepping on a trembling, mud-covered twilif, and stopped dead as his eyes focused solely on the sight of Haveni surrounded by a writhing, black mist.
Shaking slightly now himself, he closed his eyes... hoping that his sudden suspicion would not be confirmed ...and to his utter horror saw the same aura that had filled his vision when Ruin awoke months before. It pulsed around Haveni and flooded through the veins of Noctis. Azra'iel's eyes flew open.
Haveni was somehow able to spread Ruin's Curse.
Ramial couldn't force his battered body to stand and move, so he watched the battles. Wind, water, paint, and lightning flew through the air in a deadly yet somehow beautiful dance. Right before him, he saw the darkness start to swirl out of and surround the white Constellation during her conversation with the belted one. He watched her eyes go completely blank and her movements become puppet-like as the level of panic rose around her. He watched the belted Constellation change before his eyes and try to destroy the fur-covered Constellation who had just stepped into the danger zone. And he had never wished harder in his life to not be where he was.
Now seeing the eyes of the tall light Constellation who had stopped above him fly open and flood with stark terror and utter determination, Ramial could do nothing more than curl into a tighter ball and look back at the white Constellation. As he continued to watch, he felt a single tear roll down each side of his face.

s**t, s**t, s**t. His leg was burning. As one said, the white flame was the hottest flame. He jerked back from Loki's position, stomping his foot. Just because he was berserk didn't mean he didnt feel pain. His finger pulled the trigger, aimed at Loki, but at this frantic point, he didnt know where it had hit the man, or if it even had hit the man.
He didnt see the wave Seir sent heading in his direction.. But there was a new target heading their way. At this point, the flames subsided to a nasty burn. it didn't affect his skin all that much but the melted buckles and boots had certainly damaged his leg.
"Ready to get an a**-kicking of pain, mudboy?" Noctis yelled out, his arms crossed, firing several shots in Loki's direction. As Keanu neared them, another shot was headed in Keanu's direction.
