Arolon at first thought a freak miracle was happening until he got the message. This was a queen who wanted them to bow to her lovliness. Having no problem pleasing the little lady he promptly got on one knee, put a fist to his heart and lowered his head in deep respectful bow. Why not? They did it with adult golds, why not little ones too?

There was power and there was the misuse of power and for all that she accepted the pose of submission, Rieta shook with distaste for the action. But they needed the queen so badly.
So very badly. Good luck to whoever impressed her indeed. Not only would they have the rest of the unruly clutch to deal with, they'd have a lifemate that thought herself the law.
Well, given time, perhaps she could be brought to heel. Children could be willful.
"Brat." She hissed, managing, for one rare moment, an actual whisper.

Amelia, leaned up against the rail as she was, watched in fascination as the gold walked up to the boys and began to make them bow. What in the world was that dragonet doing? Such a pretty thing, and already a leader and she was toying with the boys? It didn't make much sense to her.
And then the call to bow boomed out but Amelia hesitate. Although, at the back of her mind, Ameila rather thought the gesture was unfounded. Respect was earned, not granted and she eyed the gold dragonet for a moment, stubbornness kicking in. Why did they have to bow? Seemed to her the gold was being a brat. Surely her chosen rider was among the candidates somewhere... why didn't she go announce herself to them? Hmph.

Kamihan stared in confusion as the queen approached the boys, and greater confusion as she knocked the first boy to his knees. Then, realization dawning on him, he gingerly let go of Panata and bowed deeply.
Weird. Were all queens this demanding? Kamihan didn't think so...

Doremy didn't hesitate. Shards, if it would mean this hatching would end with no more violence and chaos, he'd kiss the hatching sands. At this point, he just wanted to keep the dragonets happy so they didn't hurt anyone else.

After the two angry brutes finally impressed, R'ysan had to wonder how these boys were going react when they finally would make it to their table. Regadth was actually comfortable in the belly at this point and R'ysan could feel her content satisfaction. But still she remained rather protective of him more because she didn't want him to get involved with any fighting.
Well at this point, once those dragons were well on his way, his attentions refocused fully on her and he didn't see the mess of people suddenly bowing. But he did hear the shout and hadn't any clue what the Weyrleader was yelling about glancing around to figure out who the yelling was directed at. But then he saw that several had bowed their head. Eh? That seemed really odd. He tilted his head down...even though he didn't get what the heck was going on. Then while looking upon Regadth's fine green flesh. he smirked and started to scratch a ridge that got her tail thumping just a little; her head covering his lap.

Kestra tried not to laugh when she just about caught what Rieta had said, as she likewise bowed her head. The little gold was important and surely looked regal enough, but apparently the wild streak some of her siblings had shown was in her too as she demanded this show from them all. Her first hatching was certainly and eventful one...not one straight forward relatively calm impression yet! The first impression, of Raysan - or rather R'san or R'ysan or something else now - to Regadth but had been pretty normal she supposed...had had one boy scratched and another knocked over but that wasn't so bad.
Who knew what else was in store after all this bowing lark.

Makereth was much less worried when the bronze and the brown went at each other. If they wanted to fight, that was perfectly okay with him, so long as they kept it in their space.
But it was very unfortunate, because while they were fighting, no one was looking at him. He would have let out an upset squawk had Uuni not clamped a hand over his muzzle.
No matter how much noise he wanted to make, it wouldn't matter, for the queen had arrived, and miracle of all miracles, was making all of the candidates bow.
Uuni stared. Her jaw was open and she rubbed her eyes to make sure she was seeing what she thought she was. This was the queen that was going to be in the Weyrling quarters with them?
Oh, she was so ********. If her rider was anything like this. . .! With a nervous swallow, she scanned the sands, hoping the Queen would get this overwith. Maybe she could make friends with the rider and escape the wrath of the Queen in the direction of Makereth.
Her dragon chuckled over the mental connection, and she assumed she was doomed. You should sneak up and tug on her tail, mine!. Makereth was clearly amused by his rider's wariness of the gold.
Uuni didn't think she would do any tail-tugging. No. No thank you.

The gold was happy again, moody little thing, and looked around the female candidates curiously. But, still, she made no move to go. The green would be first.
The queen nodded to her friend, granting permission, and the other dragon smiled before looking right at Hers.
Zia, your Redfith is here, if you will have her. I know she is more beautiful than I, but I will do my very best.

R'ysan finally figured it out after hearing the mutterings of various onlookers. "Oh great...they can't be serious." he snorted as he worked his fingers across Regadth's small ridges. "Hey Uuni. You can see things better than I, what's going on with that queen?"
Regadth yawned, "She's a queen, she not for you. We shouldn't worry about it. She'll get over herself."
"You're telling me." he thought to Regadth if that was the case. Hell, if he'd be bowing every time he passed her when they all got roomed in the Weyrling barracks. Even a queen needed to show better manners; respect was earned not forced. Regadth seemed a bit more sensible about the matter and for the moment he remained under her head. He almost thought that this relaxed position was to make sure she could pin him down for the rest of the hatching. Smart dragon!

Still kneeling on the sands Nadia watched as the green finally left the golds side and impressed with one of the candidates; grinning she watched the interaction between the gold and the green dragon. 'Whoever she decideds to impress with is sure going to have a time dealing with her. But she sure would be worth it." She thought as she eyed the gold.

Belram raised his head just enough that he could track the queen as she moved off with her little green companion, but he wasn't about to get up yet. He was staying exactly where he was until the gold had found Hers. Better safe than sorry, as far as he was concerned.

Amoreth, head still bowed in respect for the Queen, risked the tiniest of upward glances to see that the green had chosen a lifemate. As demanding as the little Queen seemed to be, it came as no surprise that she allowed the green to choose first--after all, she was royalty. Her subjects would wait on her with bated breath and anticipation shaking them to their cores.
The young woman smiled despite herself. Oh, she would be another handful to the one who Impressed her, that she would. Constant oilings, baths every morning, food non-stop.. But whoever got her, Amoreth doubted they would mind doting upon their lovely little Queen.

Sellae glanced up with a warm smile as the green looked at her choice. Pale blue eyes watched the young gold for a moment. Then her eyes were downcast again and she was waiting, breath bated. Which of her companions would it be? Or, like the blue, was this Queen's loved one in the stands?

Zia's eyes lingered on the queen, she was quite lovely, but seemingly arrogant. Aww, She's allowing the green to impress fir-
Zia's train of thought was broken by a voice, Zia, your Redfith is here, if you will have her. I know she is more beautiful than I, but I will do my very best. The lovely green was staring right at Her.
She wasn't sure what to say, what to do, for the first time in the young woman's life she was completely and utterly speechless.
You're the most beautiful dragon on all of Pern, tears streamed down her face, Zia was so certain she would stand for turns and return to the lower caverns and continue life. Until this very moment that seemed like it would be a wonderful fate, but now she knew life would never have been complete with out Redfith.
Redfith's eyes swirled a dark green slowly, So I am yours? Zia wiped her tears on the sleeve of her robe. "Forever. Are you hungry? I can help cut meat for you, do you..need anything?" Zia said not taking her eyes off of Refith, that green was Hers that was her life mate..hers.
What you think is best Ziamine, Redfith bumped against Hers. Zia slowly led the way toward the sidelines where other hatchinglings were gathering.
