{Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.}

[Wonderland : Castle Oblivion : Kitchen]

Zekvyr smiled in response, a cocky and arrogant expression. He wanted Fal'navi to think he was unconcerned, and in truth he mostly was. He wasn't afraid of the fight, but experience had told him never to underestimate any opponent, even ogre filth like this.

And so, as Fal'navi approached, Zekvyr had the good sense to draw his sword. He had considered just toying with him for a while, dodging and mocking without drawing his weapon at all, but he hadn't expected him to be quite this upset. He shrugged. Oh, well. Chaos was chaos. If you could expect what it would turn out like, it wouldn't really be chaos would it?

As Zekvyr drew his sword, he simultaneously pushed off from the wall, one arm extended, he taunted his opponent closer with a "Your move" wave of his hand.

[Hefin]

{The blades don't lead to war, it's the soldier}

[Traverse Town : First District]

Hefin's senses slowly returned to him as he felt people tugging on his arms. He glanced at both Suzu and Soryuju, his eyes still somewhat glazed over. He then felt the burning sensation of the acid that had pooled around him and sucked in breath of air through clenched teeth. "Sonuva, that stings..." he muttered, and pushed himself to his feet with the help of his friends. "Thanks for the help," he muttered huskily after clearing his throat.

Noticing that his hammer fell from his hands after the last knockback, he reached down to quickly pick it up and noticed he had to bendover a few inches more than he should have. Glancing at his feet, he noticed that he was actually standing on top of the acid. '...I'll question the laws of physics later," he thought to himself, and slung the hammer onto his back.

"The upper level by the Accessory Shop should be safe for now," he said to his comrades, gesturing to a store with elaborate signs saying 'Jewelry' and 'Accessory'. It was up a staircase and had some acidic runoff flowing down it, but so far the acid had been unable to pool up there.

{[Elde]}

"Why does fortune...seem to strike the most kindhearted people? Is everything just pre-ordained?"

.:[Traverse Town: First District]:.

Elde was happy that someone had decided to help him fight the heartless, and smirked at Alex before responding to her. “How kind of you-“ he would have said in that coy voice of his… if he hadn’t been slammed with a giant guillotine blade. He barely had enough time to bring both his swords up to stop it from cutting him in half, but the sheer force sent him flying backwards, past the small flight of stairs and smashing into the front of the accessory shop before slowly sinking to the ground.

He raised his head to watch Alex attacking the enemy and he attempted to crawl to help her. Luckily there was no acid in this area, but with that last hit he was almost done, unless he got a heal he’d be unconscious in a moment. Struggling to help still he activated the dice roller on his larger sword as he continued to crawl towards the stairs down to the acid filled area with the heartless.

“I suppose it was a bit too risky not bringing at least a potion…”

Solaris
{Sorry, I'll be taking my leave now.}

{Traverse Town : First District}

When Sol had been Silenced, he didn't know what to do. He was completely powerless, no longer even able to heal himself. Stumbling up the stairs, out of the liquid acid, he ran to the first door that he found and tried to open it, but found it locked. Crouching down, he sat on the ground and covered himself with his robes. He didn't have any energy left, not even enough to heal himself. He'd never been in so much pain in the entirety of his life, even when the war on Crinosis had been going on. So, unable to do anything, he sat hunched forward, his staff leaning against him.

((I can change my post if you'd rather the door be unlocked. Just wasn't sure if it would be.))

[Fal'Navi]
"...The shadows beckon."

[Castle Oblivion]

The Wrathful Dragon roared again, his black hair flying wildly about. "Taunting me, you waste of space, is foolish! I will have your head on my wall! I have killed before, you will most definitely not be the first victim!" He yelled, swinging his spear in long, winding arcs, clashing with the drow's sword.

He continued his rampage, until one rather large swing hit Vereor's crystal tea pot and sent it flying into the air. Fal'navi could only watch with wide eyes as it flew up and began its descent back to the floor. "Damn!" the elf could only mutter as the teapot hit the ground...and remained perfectly unharmed.

"Make it easier on yourself and tell me what you’re thinking, I already know”
[Traverse Town :: First District :: Rooftops ]

User ImageDiogenes froze as a new presence joined him on the roof. He kept his eyes on the heartless, not bothering to look behind him until he heard the voice in his head.

Good evening, Mind Reader.

How could anyone know? Diogenes stood up and turned around, now facing the arch. The other being was on the other side of the roof and Diogenes threw his efforts at reading his mind.

"Hmm, Vereor is it? Veiled Gorgon? Clever, very clever"

He smiled and listened to Vereor's thoughts more, diving deeper but not finding out too much information.

"If you would show yourself, please. I already know what you want of me"

{A heart shed for power is the only heart of worth.}

[Traverse Town : First District]

Excuse me if I decline your request. While you seeing me is all well and good, I'd prefer if those below knew not of my presence.

The cloaked man did, in fact, stay stationary as he thought clearly enough for the other Nobody to read his mind.

You know of my purpose here, and my allegiance to my cause- you even know my name. But all I know of you is that you are a Nobody who can read minds- almost seems rude. What do you call yourself?

Of course, because this was all in thought, it managed to occur far faster than normal speech; thought did travel faster than light, after all. As such, it had only been mere moments since he appeared, meaning there was still plenty of time for Zigmund's appearance.

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}

[Traverse Town : First District]

"Well, hurry on up, those Heartless are causing quite a stir," he muttered, managing to keep himself in between the weakened Hefin and the Heartless. He noted the Heartless looked much like old devices- a guillotine (how crude) and some sort of wheel- thing, the latter taking up most of the Courtyard. The acidic poison was slowly draining down into the sewers, now leaving only a few inches of it left in the Courtyard.

"Get up there, I'll help take care of these!" he said, running straight to the Guillotine-Heartless' side and bring the spear around for a powerful horizontal slash. Because he'd come from the side, the creature couldn't have seen him coming.

User Image"Kindness and rudeness do not concern me. Vereor. But I will abide to your wishes."

The Nobody took a few steps forward, but thought it better to be on this side of the roof for the time being.

"You ask for a name? Diogenes is mine. And I didn't choose to read minds, I'm just able to do it."

Diogenes was already getting annoyed at the conversation but kept his calm.

"Anything else, sir?"

You say that as if you cannot tune us out if you pleased?

Vereor mused lightly, releasing a brief chuckle from underneath his hood. Such an interesting Nobody. It seemed even pure thought could be misunderstood. Regardless, he kept his mind on the mission at hand.

You know of my purpose for approaching you- would you join us, or not?

[[Masenko-Ma]]

"If at first you don't succeed..."

___[Castle Oblivion .:. Kitchen]

Masenko sighed as two members of the Conclave arrived and began to make a fuss. Over what he couldn't say, nor did he really care. But a fuss they were making, and it annoyed him to no end.

A deep purple smoke began to fill the kitchen, the enclosed space working to his advantage as he released a sleep-inducing haze from his hands. "You two are making far too much noise. I don't understand why you can't act more mature, or at least more apathetic. Now get lost or go to sleep."

"... Then you were taught by losers."

{ Don't underestimate the light. }

[Traverse Town : Mystical House]

His eyes were white. White eyes. That was unusual. Mina looked up at him, her tail swinging back and forth, transfixed. She quickly realized that she was starring, and broke eye contact, looking at whatever else in her hurry to stop being rude. She made eye contact with another thing then: a sword. She looked away from it quickly, more than a little concerned. Was it her imagination, or was that eye actually looking back? Nah. Surely it was just a decoration.

"Well, Vain, welcome to, uh... wherever Merlin transported me. Oh! We're not in your house are we?" He was there before they arrived, after all. This place could belong to him, and she and Merlin might be trespassing. That would be bad.

{Don't fear the dark... fear what's in it.}

[Wonderland : Castle Oblivion : Kitchen]

Zekvyr parried, keeping pace with Fal'navi, but never striking back. He saw several openings, but didn't attempt to strike. Fal'navi was angry, and that gave him an extra boost of speed, not to mention strength. He was well on his way to wearing himself out. If he timed it right, Zekvyr was sure he could win the fight with minimal effort.

And then the tea pot was up in the air. Given their superior's love of the beverage, the almost insane way he clung to it and demanded it every day, Zekvyr wondered if he should try to catch the thing before it shattered. Or, perhaps, he could use the distraction to leap over and put his sword through Fal'navi's heart... or lack thereof. In the end, he did nothing. It would shatter, but no matter- but it didn't shatter. It just rolled along the floor, not a chip or a scratch.

"I guess we won't be fighting Vereor today," Zekvyr commented. Was that disappointment in his voice?

Then smoke was filling the room. Zekvyr carefully avoided it, stepping back out of reach as smoke slowly crept toward him.

[Fal'Navi]
"...The shadows beckon."

[Castle Oblivion]

Fal'navi froze mid-step, eyeing the smoke mysteriously. He took a few deep breaths, slinking back from the smoke. "...Fine. However, I will speak to Vereor about this, Zekvyr. Disobeying an order on my mission will not be tolerated, you abomination."

The Wrathful Dragon opened a portal of darkness, quickly stepping inside of it and reappearing in his room. He quickly shed off his armor, changing into his black and gold robe. Sigh...Such stupidity...

User Image"I suppose you are right. But it is so interesting to hear what people are thinking."

The mind reader smiled and considered Vereor's offer. The mysterious man had a good offer, even though Diogenes hadn't heard a word from his mouth.

"I think it won't hurt to join you, under once condition. I need a single question answered."

Aloysius...where is he?
