Althenna held nervously to Selce, her eyes anywhere but down. Heights and spiders were two fears Althenna would rather die than admit to having.
"Why do you say west, Nalken?" She called, trying to take her mind off things, "Is their a post or village there? Will the shadow elf be able to find us there, do you think?"
((Sorry for being gone so long and for the crap post! crying I'm having some difficulties with my move so I've only got a few minutes to spare at the moment. I hope someone can do something with that. If no one's replied to the post by the time I log on next, I'll edit it. Thanks for sticking with this everyone! You have no idea how much I appreciate it! heart whee heart ))

<(I just finished a six page paper for my econ-ish class and got accepted earlier today after a long wait. I shall distract people for a while...)>There were people everywhere and Kiri didn't like it. They to close to her house to be comfortable. When they turned westward their path only brought them closer to her secluded home. Kiri wasn't one to hide and wait hoping for the best. She decided to confront the group a find out their intentions.
Kiri burst out of the forest and into the sky ahead of the group. She hovered in place waiting for them to draw closer. Leaves swirled around her, her dress flapped, and her white hair waved in the wind swirling about her as she flew using her mastery over air and wind. The group was still out of earshot when she spoke, her words were carried to their ears by the wind. "My name is Kiri, I am a vampire. If you were looking for me, you have found me. If I am not your target, turn away, for I have not eaten in a very long time..." What she said was true, but not entirely. In reality she had fed earlier today, but it had truly been a long time since she ate the rich blood of an intelligent being.
She could smell some tasty ones within the group too, Kiri found Elf blood to be a delicacy. Not that she drank the blood of intelligent beings any more, but there was once a time when she ate whatever she wanted and the taste from back then sometimes returns.

Anduril pulled up, flapping his wings ocasionalyto stay in the air."We are simply passing through, we mean you no harm so let us pass," he told her.

Aisha stared at the vampiress. "Funny, as if you could take the blood." She said still continueing forward. She flared her wings when she was about 20 feet away and hovered there. "We aren't here to find you, we are going beyond to the west." She stated with a glare. ------- Selce noticed Althenna's nervousness and smiled. She let it drop however as something came out of the trees to make them halt. "Your right we should stop in midflight while carrying people as light as feathers." She said sarcastically and hovered. At a glance the whirlwind in front of them, she almost lost her composure. She adjusted her grip slightly on Althenna's arms and waited.

Kiri smiled as a few brave souls approached and spoke. Rather than brave, she decided they were just ignorant. They must not have had many dealings with vampires. Not heeding her warning and charging into her territory would be a grave mistake. "I don't care where you are going, but I suggest you take a different route. The location of my home is a secret, the fact you know it is around here is enough for me to kill the lot of you. However, Lady Luck is on your side today, for I am in a good mood. I suggest you go either south or north for a while before continuing west. That way you won't accidentally see something life-threatening. As you all have your goals and secrets I am sure you can understand why I take these precautions." If word of her existence managed to find its way to the demon lords it wouldn't be long before they came searching for her. This is something that Kiri has been trying to avoid for a very long time. The last thing she wanted was for this chance encounter to reveal her location.

Only to have a bit of fun torturing her passenger, Kayn curled her neck back a bit, gave one great flap of her reptilian wings, and did a loop in the air, going upside-down for a brief moment. She gave one of her sharp toothed grins at the expense of the half-breed on her back before her smile vanished all too quickly at the sound of an unfamiliar voice.
Of all creatures, it was a vampire, a creature banned from Semane and just another creature demons had been bred to detest.
“Today’s just full of things I love!” she snarled sarcastically, practically shaking with anger. Kayn had become somewhat used to Althenna and Valora, but that was as far as she would go for today.
And the creature was suggesting that they go west by heading some other direction. What could possibly be ‘life-threatening’ about passing through?!

"You know," Althenna drawled dryly, "we wouldn't even have the first clue that anyone else was here if you hadn't come bursting out of the forest like a bat out of hell."
Althenna tried not to notice the little bit of her that was already taking aim at the vampire and murmuring, What I wouldn't give for a bit of solid ground or a griffin's back...

Why would you claim it or the air around you? How could you? A simple question, Lady Vampire! We seek shelter from a horde of enemies, and the Quarry as of 3 days ago was open to all!" He grinned. "Why, I was there..."

Kita could smell a mass of people. She then heard their foot steps. Another scent passed her nose. It was that of a vampire. This vampire was unfamiliar to her though. She quickly dove into the shadows to the Shadow Zone. She made her way to where the crowd had assembled. She pokedher head gently through one of the mens shadows as she listened in.

Anduril glared at Kiri angrily."Nether me nor any of my companions wil revel your location," he told her, repeating it in a language as binding as death.

Bjorn stopped. He could hear shouting in the forest ahead. Curious but slightly annoyed, he continued forward, coming to a clearing where the group had assembled. He stayed quiet while he observed them. Not like he was trying not to be seen. It was hard to miss a massive, 6' 2" man wearing chainmail and with a few weapons hanging off of him. He watched the group for a moment, debating if he should speak, or simply turn and leave.

Kiri listened as more people in the group spoke up and couldn't help noticing as more people gathered. "And what enemies do you seek shelter from? Do they pursue you? Leading them in this direction will likely cause trouble for me." If what the man said was true, and they were on the run, it wouldn't matter if her location was spoken of. She would probably be stumbled upon when their enemies came searching for them.

The excitement was causing Kita to get excited. She wanted to fight some one now, but thought about her situation and suppressed her urge to fight. She sunk back into the shadow zone just as silently as she had risen. She'd wait until she could pick some one off. She hummed to herself knowing no one could hear her unless she opened a portal to let the sound out. She listened as the sound gently faded from her ears as it seemed to die in the endless expanse of darkness.
