Young Gossamer looked dubious. She was going to walk, while her friend swam? She bit her lip, which threatened to quiver. Dutifully she followed Azshara, but seemed extremely reluctant to get very far from her. Along the beach, she trod in as deep water as she could without actually swimming... after all, her friend wanted her to walk, not swim. Her gentle spirit wanted to comply, even if what she herself wanted was different.
Still, at least she did seem to have a purpose, which lifted her spirits some, countering her dismay at having to be a distance from her new protector. Azshara had said she'd need Gossamer, and that made the little ghostling proud. She splashed in the water as she went, capering and twirling and humming, her colorful tail trailing prettily behind her.Priscilla wasn't much of one for sweets, and thus swiftly fell out of pretending about the feast. Oddly enough, she felt rather lonely without Touma there to be irked at. She rose, unconciously straightening her clothing before stepping to the attic window. She could see nothing of use, of course. What did she expect, to spot him in the distance? He'd been gone far too long to see from this city window, high up though they might be. She pouted, crossing her arms. He'd gone and left her, ruining the fun. At least someone new was here to help amuse the baby. She was swiftly running out of games! Babysitting was not her idea of a good time, and now he'd left her to it. Sighing, she turned back to the greedy little ghostling, stuffing herself with sweets, never realizing the peril she was letting herself in for. Sugar high and then crash was nothing to sneeze at, especially in little ones! Out in the city, a glowing green wisp floated about aimlessly, drifting here and there. She had no purpose, and very little thought. For her, existing was enough for now. Still, she had curiousity, which was sparked by coming upon someone sitting on a bench, all alone. She wafted closer, curling and twisting like a sentient bit of fog. She circled the seated ghostling once, twice, then settled on the bench next to her, peering up with her two little bright eyes. "Hello," she whispered. She wasn't entirely sure why she whispered, but it seemed the best thing to do. She didn't want to frighten this new person away, after all.

The old woman was busy making the cupcakes when she noticed the pencil was moving again she waited for it to stop when it did she walked over and picked up the paper and read it"Tea to go with the cupcakes?"she said aloud but then smiled and noded and put the paper back down"go ahead just please be careful with my teapots and cups"she then turned and went back to the cupcakes
Hikaru smiled and noded even though she knew the old woman couldn't see Hikaru then procceed to get on the counters and look for a kettle when she found it she filled it with water and put it on the stove to boil as it was heating she looked for a tea pot and some cups it took a while but she found a nice big one which was pure white with light blue swirls on it she also found matching cups
Carefully she put the teapot and cups on the counter she was about to look for tea when she noticed the old woman setting out different boxes of tea Hikaru smiled and looked over the tea there was alot of different types and alot of ones she liked but she picked one she hoped ember and prissy would like and took the needed number of tea bags out and put them into the teapot
Just as she put the teabags in the teapot the kettle started to whistle so she quickly went over and got the teapot off the stove and carried it over to the counter got onto the counter and then poured the hot water into the teapot and put the lid of the teapot back on then she jumped off the counter and went to the sink and put the kettle there she then was about to look for the suger when she saw the old woman pull it a bowl and a spoon out along with a tray to carry everything on and put it next to the tea
Hikaru walks over to the paper and starts writing again "Thanks for helping one more thing could i barrow some milk?" when Hikaru finished writing she found she didn't have to wait long because the old woman was watching as she wrote and was already getting out a bottle of milk which she put on the tray along with the teapot and some spoons to stir they're tea with
Hikaru watched and smiled and walked over to the counter and picked up the tray the tray looked heavy with the teapot and the cups and the suger and milk but to Hikaru it was actually light as a feather Hikaru was about to leave the kitchen when the old woman announced that the other batch of cupcakes would be done soon Hikaru noded and returnned to stairs and started climbing up she went slowly so not to spill something
Finally Hikaru got to the top and walked through the trap door and headed over to where Ember was prissy had moved over to the window and had a slightly unhappy expression
Hikaru set the tray down next to the cupcakes and picked up a cup and pours some tea into it but only about halfway she then put suger it about as much as she would have had when she was little and then filled it the rest of the way with milk she then stired it so it was well mixed together and held it out for Ember to take"Here try this its tea with milk in it Milktea its good"she says in a reassuring tone

Inkwell #2 is being awarded to Eftemie for having the most tokens earned total thus far, and for writing up a summary of the entire meta up to now. Inkewell #3, however, is still up in the air. Literally. It's been floating about randomly giving humans something to laugh at. Or fear at. But any time a ghostling tries to grab for it it quickly dodges the attempt. So how is one to get it down? Why lure it of course! As before I want you guys to cleverly incorporate the answers in your posts. There is no right or wrong answer, it's just what ever I find more amusing. So this is what you have to do: Write in your next post, cleverly working it in, how to lure the floating inkwell. The post doesn't have to have anything to do with your character getting the inkwell down. It's up to you how to do this. <3 This one will last until the end of the meta, so you are welcome to put in as many 'entries' with your next posts until the end. :3 EDIT: BE sure to bold your answer.

((OOC... awww.. thank you, Guns. Pretty colors too. heart *snags* Everyone better try hard for that other one. XD Inkwells are rare. ))
Valkon was outside the gate when he noted something to the side. Skidding to a halt he moved towards it slowly. A bit of uncertainty slipped through him. Was that an inkwell? The word slipped through his memory as he sniffed at it. Well, he tried to. A ghost does not exactly smell though they remember that they once did.
He paced for a moment knowing he had other things to do. But for the oddest reason he did not want to leave it behind. Pulling it with his paw towards him, he glanced back at Hawke.
"Dad did you want me to get that?" he asked softly, already moving for the ground.
A quick nod and a lopsided grin from his father told the ghostling that he did. Placing it carefully in his shirt, Hawke soon climbed back on his father's back.
The wolf howled and began moving again. Whatever it was, it was meant to be with them. The colors fit.

Despite her zealous attempts to eat every cupcake she saw, Ember really was just a little ghostling and after a cupcake got up. Giggling slightly she ran her finger over a bit of frosting on her face sucking it off of her finger. Noticing Priscilla over by the window she dashed over toward her, hugging the other ghostling around the leg and sharing the frosting stuck all over her. "Prissssssssssy! What are you looking for?" Even as she asked Ember stood up on her toes and attempted to peek out the window.
As Hikaru came back upstairs Ember turned to look over, "milktea?" Wrinkling her brow curiously she turned, reaching up to grasp Priscilla's hand with her sticky fingers, "come on! We need to have tea," nodding she attempted to tug Priscilla over.

There had been a flash and then a landscape with vegatation he remembered falling and then darkness. Groaning Burton slowly started to move wincing and pulling himself up. Crying out slightly he jerked back on instinct as something poked him in the head, blinking and looking around with his head still mostly foggy he determined that he was likely in a bush of some sort. Pushing some of the branches away he grumbled...the bush was thorny.
With a few crackling of branches and shaking of the push Burton tumbled into the edge of the park. A mortal had turned to watch the shaking bush but lost interest rather quickly. Taking stock of the area Burton's eyes rested on a nearby stand for the festival. A machine stood along the back of the stall, the center turned and as it did musical notes came from it. The mechanics of the machine called him forward, a slow grin started to spread to his face as he moved toward it.

She'd been skirting the lights and sounds of the festivities, a little confused and disoriented by her surroundings. How she had gotten here she really wasn't sure, and she was leery about entering the more crowded area. Mosaic hugged her lantern closely and floated near the ground, across a small trampled down path through the grassy areas the booths were set up on.
The rustling of a nearby bush nearly caused her to lose her grip on her burden as a gray ghostling tumbled tail over teakettle out of a nearby bush. Mosaic darted behind the branches of the foliage and peered curiously at the new arrival. He seemed to take stock of himself before his attention was caught by the nearby stand.
Like he was distracted by what seemed to be the lights and sounds, she was similarly distracted by him.

Hopping up onto the street Burton noted a few of the living nearby, none seemed overly close so he quickly moved over toward the mechanism. He hadn't spotted Mosaic as he wandered into the booth. Curiously the gremlin's gaze searched over the stall a small smile pulling over his lips. Scrambling up on top of the counter Burton started inching over toward the musical device.
Pausing Burton turned catching glimpse of the other nearby ghostling, turning he regarded Mosaic a moment. He didn't know the wisp but paused giving a bit of a wave before backing up to the musical device. Turning his attention on the device Burton turned and started walking into the music box, melding into the mechanics as he does.

Priscilla glanced down at the baby on her leg, then back out the window. One could tell just how distracted she was by the fact that she didn't fuss or frown at her clothes getting frosting all over them. When questioned, she answered with half her mind, unintentionally revealing her true feelings. "Touma. I wish he woud come back." Her voice was soft, her tone wistful. To herself, she was still griping about him leaving her there alone with Ember, but that wasn't the full extent of the situation.
However, she let Ember tug her back to their little feast. A cup of tea might help settle her. She smiled at Hikaru and nodded graciously as they all three sat down to some tea. Boys were such a bother, she reflected, holding out a cup for tea to be poured. Why did she bother to care where Touma was or what he was doing? He could very well take care of himself! She gave a firm mental nod to herself about that, and moments later was glancing over her shoulder again at the attic window.

Hikaru frowned noted how distracted Priscilla seemed and when she hear her talk of touma in such a wistful tone she smiled she knew what was up but wasn't going to say anything instead she turned her attention to the curious babe"Milktea is just tea with milk but it makes it taste really good"she says in a sweet gental tone and hands Ember the cup of tea she didn't think Ember would drop it not with how sticky her hands were
Once she was sure Ember had a firm grip on the cup she procceeded to pour Priscilla a cup and hand her the suger bowl she noticed for a moment she seemed back to normal but then she looked back at the window with the wistful expression
Hikaru would look out the window to and what she saw surprised her for a moment she could have sworn she saw a inkwell float by the window at first she thought she was just seeing things until she saw it again and then again which caused her mouth to fall open alittle Yujin had told her Inkwells were rare that they had oversouls in them and that if she ever saw one she should grab it if she could
Hikaru quickly gets up and runs over to the window and opens it there was a short gust of wind which blew a few things around but nothing serious just as Hikaru opened the window the inkwell flew by again Hikaru noticed it was flying in a pattern so when it flew by again she tried to grab it but as she tried it moved just out of reach so when it flew back she tried again leanning further out the window"come here you..."she muttered to herself but again the Inkwell moved just out of her reach which made her sigh but lean out alittle further well after about the 5th time of this Hikaru was more then half out the window so when the Inkwell passed by a 6th time when Hikaru reached for it she lost her balence and almost fell out
Quickly Hikaru scrambled to get her balence back when she finally did she threw herself backwards so she fell into the attic she ended up landing on her back with a thud for a moment Hikaru just laid there trying to calm down though she was already dead she didn't think it would feel good to fall from a second story window onto the ground below
Once she calmed down enough she got up and walked back to the window and watched the Inkwell swing by the window again and sighed how could she catch that thing it moved out of her reach every time she tried to grab it for a moment she just closed her eyes and thought about it when she got a idea she then opened her eyes and put her hands together for a moment then pulled them appart alittle as she did a bubble formed she the threw it out the window towards the Inkwell of course the Inkwell moved away from the bubble but as it did Hikaru held out her hand and the bubble started Chasing the Inkwell unforunately the Inkwell was more cleaver then it looked it caused the bubble to hit a wall and pop well Hikaru tried the bubble several more times finally she sighed and then got another idea she created another bubble but this one was full of water unforunately the water just made it slower and when it popped all the water fell down and landed on someones head which made her gasp and appologize many times even though the person couldn't hear her
Again Hikaru sighed but got another idea she takes a deep breath and holds it and waits for the Inkwell to get close the moment it did she blew a jet of bubbles at it hoping one would catch it well when the bubbles cleared the Inkwell was way off away from the window and soon flew away Hikaru sighs sadly and turns and sits down against the wall"you two can try that Inkwell does not want me to catch it"she says when she realized something strange she suddenly felt very hot and waved her hand to try and cool of but she only got hotter and soon started to feel dizzy and weak"what the....."she muttered to herself if anybody she didn't know what was happening why was she suddely dizzy and overheated

"Afflict! Affliction, stop!" But of course, she wouldn't. Somber had worked himself into high temper chasing this new Ghostling around Priyal, and it showed. His hooves no longer hovered quite so close to the earth, and his own mana billowed about him like blood. "I don't know what that thing - that Watcher - wants us to do, but I know you shouldn't be doing this!" He dove now, finding it easier to work with the lights of city dimmed behind them. He was faster in the dark; but so was she. She was just like him.
But she could be seen.
Lysombre yelled as he rose up behind the fleeing, giggling spirit, easing himself out of tangibility as he did. She turned, her face becoming surprised and dismayed to find that he was no longer behind her. Somber made sure that expression only lingered for a moment as he rushed visible hands to close over her face, drawing her close to him in a stifling headlock. The Poltergeist rose slowly into the air, ignoring her struggles and squeals. "Now, Affliction," he grunted. "Will you behave?"
This was such fun! There was not so much to do outside the city, though Afflict made sure she kicked over a nearby planter as she sped past it. The soil inside flew right into a human's face, making the Usagi's giggles louder than before. At least she still had Lysombre to play with - she could hear him now. He was even better than the humans, the big bad boy so terrified of being touched. Well, she'd have to touch him, then! And hug him, and not let go. Not ever; until he stopped movin'. She'd done that before, and it was great fun, and it would be even more so with sweet Lys.
Wasn't he having fun too? Afflict turned back, the giggle stilling in her mouth as she realized mid-stride that she was running alone. He had just been here, flaming and blaze-y and- Had he gone? Had he actually left her?
...No, no he hadn't. Afflict screeched her surprise as Somber wrapped his arms around her head, wedging her neck beneath his arm. What was this? She hated this! "No!" the Usagi yelled. She hadn't heard what he'd said, and she didn't care! But what she did hear... was music. Wolves' music. When she looked over her shoulder, Afflict caught sight of a light that shot off into the sky. Afflict grinned, going still in the larger ghostling's grip. "No," she repeated calmly. Then she exploded into dust.
Somber yelled again as he threw up his arms, maddened by the grey fluff that flew into his eyes and in his mouth. He was so frustrated that he faded into the dark, just to escape the way it itched and tore at him... and in intangibility, he found peace. Afflict's dust fell away from him, drifting into the space his body had once been. Finding nothing there, it passed into nothing.
Left alone yet again, the Poltergeist let out a roar. Frustration, pure and simple, racked his tone.
Marodach, on the other hand, didn't really care about any of this. Let the others run around like foolish hens - he was going to sit down and enjoy the festivities. Goddesses or no, these humans knew how to properly appreciate their metaphysical neighbors.
The Lore lounged on top of a light-pole in the square, nestled comfortably between a few colored lanterns outshone only by his bright train. So, the mortals couldn't actually see him; a minor technicality. They were partying for him nevertheless, they simply weren't aware of it. Poor saps.
There was nothing poor about that, however. Marodach flicked his wand at the object as it floated by him, seemingly of its own accord; was it some kind of cup? No, no, there was a feather sticking out of it. The Lore frowned at the floating thing. Tricky, eh? Well, he could be tricky, too!
Keeping the feather-cup in his sights, Marodach pushed one of the lanterns from its perch. With it came a streamer, slowly unwinding down the pole and bringing the lantern with it. Marodach took his eyes from the cup, watching the streamer sail past - the lantern came with it - it soared overhead - And promptly whacked some obnoxious human in the head, pitching him in the feather-cup's direction.
Marodach sat back, quite pleased with himself. Oh, festivals were fun.
