I could go on for a while. @Jadilus : You can't determine what's metal and what isn't by how much you like it. Keep it clean, kids, lest I pull out the mod stick and assume the beating stance. xd
I think one of the more pathetic metal bands is Hammerfall. I liked their first album, but they are hardly challenging themselves as artists, all of their recent releases (indeed, every album since) sound practically the same to me, like they are constantly trying to express the exact same musical ideas using slightly different power chord riffs and wearisome fantasy lyrics.
I also find Six Feet Under to be mildly loathesome. Their cover of the entire AC/DC ‘Back in Black’ album was pretty uninspired, in general their death'n'roll sound does little for me, which is a shame considering that I enjoyed Barnes's work in Cannibal Corpse.
And yes, Cannibal Corpse are metal. lol
Please don't take it so personal when people attack the bands you like, people, it's just the interblag! xd

it is gross, and the singer sucks, he kills the entire band, i'm done talking about it, if u want to pm me, but i'll just ignor you!!!! n00b!!!

Gwar KNOWS that can't be taken very seriously. they're a band that's there more for show, than for music, to show how rediculous metal can be somethimes. they're not that serious of a band, they're just funny. :] Aborted needs to tone it down a bit. or, turn it up, depending on how you look at it-- their most recent album, Slaughter & Apparatus, is the shittiest thing i've ever heard them write. i mean it's brutal, but it's total bullshit compared to Goremaggeddon... too many high-pitched vocals, and the deep goregrind/death metal vocals sound too much like those ******** "inhales" in all of the scene-hardcore bands.
