Where ever I wander, where ever I roam,
There's only one place I'll ever call 'home'

The Magic Swordman Master Lord, Roy

((I think they might have met like once Rhys...at the first murder scene. They didn't share words, and Leon was supposed to introduce us, if I recall. And besides...who doesn't know Roy? He's pretty much the main Pyro of FEF. Rumors about him should have at least reached the Watch.))

They had arrived. The tower had an ominous feel to it, that was certain. As for what horrors awaited them inside...Roy wasn't sure.

He jumped off of Anri and looked up at the tower for a few moments, before hearing someone call for him. He glanced over at the person that had called him. If he recalled, this was Ghis, the captain of the Watch.

He nodded, then wandered over towards the front door. It would probably be best to let the Captain or Leon go through first, since both of them had much higher defenses than him. His resistance to magic attacks was much better than the armor and the pony-rider, so if they encountered any mages ( a small chance, but still a chance), he could at least cover the two with more accurate long-range attacks. Nothing against Spears and Hatchets, but they had a low hit-chance compared to the SoS' long-range ability, not to mention the attack was elemental, so it ignored defense.

As Leon got closer, he could see the entrance to the tower, standing alone from the manor itself like a specter. It was like a solid form of a shadow, looking so dark as it did.

The entrance was small, too small for Anri. He'd guessed by now that Tura wanted only humans involved... not horses. The Lieutenant felt the regret already, having to leave behind his close companion who'd done so much for him, but otherwise, there would be no going inside.

He dismounted when they were at the tower's foot, putting a black gloved hand over his steed's nose. "Don't ya go causin' trouble, eh Anri? I'll be gettin' back b'fore ya know it."

His gaze shifted to Roy and Ghis... just before he eyed Kishuna with slight anger. Was he an accomplice, willing to block their way? There wasn't going to be any asking from Leon, he just had his axe ready to strike. "Oy... if ya dun' mind movin, I got bus'ness 'nside tha' tower. I'll be puttin' ya in irons soon if ya jus' list'n..."

He was sure that with the poleaxe in his grip, he was giving Kishuna the full alternative to stepping aside.

Forgotten Morph

PostPosted: Sat Sep 05, 2009 7:41 pm

"... It was planned. We were going to... we were fixing it... everything would be right. Then the murders came, and it was all right. Unexpected, but it was okay... but now..." The moprh shivered slightly, still not looking up. "These things... horrible things... I can't anymore. No. He let me stop... but I'm supposed to tell you that he's ready. He's waiting for you... I don't know what he's going to do anymore." Kishuna looked up at Amelia, eyes hollow and sunken, glistening slightly. He didn't move any more. He couldn't. It was too much... he'd thought things like this would stop once Nergal had been gone. Once he had been fixed. He was wrong. It was still going... the killing was still occuring...

"I can't tell you much more... but this place... was dark before he came to it." Speaking seemed to come with an effort of will that was hard for Kishuna to muster. "I lived here, before... it wasn't so bad, until he did... those things..." Which things? Well, that was self-evident. "Tura will... meet you inside. He will explain. And..." The morph paused, about to give another revelation. "And though I don't know if you'll see him yet..."

"...Your father is with him, Amelia..."

"You can't blame yourself. Blaming yourself and falling into depression, it won't change anything.
You have to look forward. Remember what you have here now.
Just think; if you hadn't come here, you wouldn't have met anyone here from
Elibe or anywhere else!"

Amelia's expression grew more and more concerned as the seconds passed. She could have sworn she could almost see him age as his body stayed weak and hunched. The look in his eyes made her want to recoil and look away, but she met his gaze and didn't leave. Amelia wanted to hug Kishuna and tell him everything would be all right, but at this point, she couldn't tell. Amelia leaned over and gave him a small embrace, enough to let him know she was doing it.

His words were still coming, and Amelia listened attentively, but she was still hugging him when he finished, making her eyes widen and her breath catch.

"...Your father is with him, Amelia..."

Amelia pulled away, the panic naked in her expression. Was he kidnapped? Had Tura brought him back to life? Was... was he actually helping him? Kishuna hadn't said, but... the knowledge was enough to make up Amelia's mind. She hesitated at his side for just one moment, leaning over to put a small kiss on his cheek, a niece giving a small show of familial affection for her uncle. "Thank you," she whispered, although her voice was strained and nervous.

The next moment, Amelia had gotten to her feet and flew through the door near him. The door swung far out and hit the wall with a loud bang; Amelia apparently had little care towards subtlety at the moment. She didn't speak, merely tried to locate Tura and her father in a flurry of panic and clanking armor. She paused in the main hall, trying to find any sort of clue to Tura's location.

Leon was at first insulted that the morph was ignoring anyone that wasn't named Amelia, but then he could see it. The pain was more than evident on Kishuna's face. Memories of the note came back...

It hurts, it hurts...
It huuuuurrrrrts.....

Were those Kishuna's words of sorrow instead of Renault's? For just a moment, Leon couldn't help but feel sympathy. "Uncle o' 'Melia are ya..." he muttered. "Dunno what 'e planned but he forced ya. Ya said ya di'n't wanna kill 'nyone... th' murders were a bad part... he tol' ya t' do it all, but we'll be stoppin' 'im..."

That was the last thing he said before following his subordinate inside the door, not looking back as he entered the main hallway.

Isadora dismounted and followed Amelia. She couldn't bring Tuomas with her. Her horse would have trouble going into the mansion. With her sword hung by her hip, a spear and her shield in each hand, the paladin marched to the mansion.

As she approached the porch, she noticed a strange figure. He was talking to Amelia. Seeing no sign of danger, Isadora approached them. She listened to the figure's conversation, wearing a bare grim on her face. Tura was waiting for them inside. Tura was created something. But what was it he was trying to create? Wasn't the crazed assassin tried to create a new life?

Suddenly, Isadora heard the figure told Amelia that Renault was waiting for her. The paladin gripped her spear tighter. So, it was true. Renault was alive. Then why Renault didn't appear before them after their battle with Loki?

Before the paladin could question the figure, she saw Amelia sprinted and went into the mansion.

"Amelia! Wait!" Isadora shouted as she chased after Amelia. The General must have wanted to see her father. But she should know that they were in Tura's terrority now. They did not know what traps the crazed assassin had stored for them. Isadora continued chasing after Amelia, worrying about the General's safety and fearing that they would fall into danger.

Roy listened to the figure named Kishuna speak to them. The way he spoke...so Tura had a motive, but then lost it as more murders occured. And this person had helped.

"You were the other voice in the notes left behind...weren't you? Or was that all Tura's writing...?" asked Roy softly.

His last words surprised Roy. Amelia's father was inside with Tura? But...wasn't he supposed to be dead, from what he heard? How did...? He shook his head. From what he could gather, the murders had a purpose at the beginning. Was that to resurrect Father Renault with some ancient, forbidden magic? Or was it for something else, like a summoning that required sacrifices? Or possibly both?

He sighed. Theories wouldn't help here. He watched Amelia kiss the man's cheek, and it dawned to him that this person was Amelia's uncle. He thanked the man before he followed the others inside, going for the main hall. It was almost certain that there would be traps. This was, after all, Tura's stronghold. No traps would make this too easy for a final boss.

"I was wondering when you guys were coming inside." Melethia said. "Before you say anything. I knew there were murders going on. There was enough blood that I could smell it REALLY well. I saw you guys coming here, so a flew ahead to this place. Not hard for Kishuna to let me by." She then made a frown. "I want to see justice."

As the group gathered in the main hall, Isadora held her sword and shield. Despite how ordinary the hall was, Isadora was alarmed for any sudden traps and surprises. There was no telling what the crazed assassin had in mind.

From his latest note, he stated that he had to get rid of the Knights before getting the Queen. The paladin was unsure who was this Queen Tura spoke of. However, if they were labeled as Knights, then they had to be extra careful. Tura had proven himself as a dangerous threat to not only society, but also themselves.

Just then, Isadora saw a figure approaching. She raised her spear up. But when she saw Melethia, confusion clouded her face as she lowered her weapon.

"Melethia, what are you doing?" Isadora questioned.

She listened to what Melethia had to say. More confusion rosed inside her mind. Melethia knew about the murders and she saw them came to this place. But what surprised Isadora was when Melethia told them that she wanted to see justice.

The paladin knew she told the crewmember and the guild that there was a murderer roaming Eyris. However, what she didn't tell them was how the guild was connected to this murder. How Tura wanted the guild and the Watch to be taught of lesson. So how did Melethia knew?

"Melethia, we all wanted to seek justice on Tura." Isadora spoke, still wondering how much information did Melethia know. "However, we need to be alarmed and careful when dealing with him. Tura has proven himself as a crazed and dangerous man."

Roy followed Isadora, and wasn't at all surprised to find Melethia before them. After all, he had seen her flying towards the tower. Her words, and the hints that she knew more than she let on, were enough to confirm his suspicions about her. She knew. He passed the others so that he was in front of the group. There was a somber look in his eyes.

"So you knew about the murders as well, and you also knew what was going on. Why didn't you say anything about it to me during our encounter...? If you had told me or the others...those last few victims wouldn't have had to have died." said Roy softly.

His eyes were hidden for a few moments. He was making his decision as whether to view Melethia as a criminal, for hiding such important information, and even helping Tura, or as just another victim, just as Kishuna was. He then looked up at her, eyes filled with determination.

"I'll trust you...for now, just like I trusted you when you followed me to that crime scene a few nights ago. We want to stop Tura before anymore lives are lost. If you know where Tura is, lead us to him, and explain how you tie into all this." the young lord spoke.

"Keh!" Leon readied his poleaxe for swinging, now a perfect time to do it since the dragoness was busy chatting it up with Roy. "Ya said ya knew what was goin' on and ya di'nt do anythin' an' ya prob'ly helped Tura too, didn't ya? Yer just as bad as 'e is, lady, an' t' make thin's worse, ya went and tricked me into thinkin' ya were just strollin' out for fine wine! Ye'll pay for leadin' me on, missy!"

With no further hesitation, the young lieutenant took a vengeful swing at Melethia, even if it probably wasn't the best thing to be doing at the moment.

What? Isadora thought as she listened to Leon and Roy's doubts. Melethia may be helping with Tura? No, it couldn't be. Isadora was unsure whether or not Melethia being connected to the crime was true.

She knew that from the battles with the Heroes, Melethia had fought against her own guild members. However, that was because the dragoness was in love with one of the Heroes, Shento. So whose side was Melethia on? Theirs or Tura?

If Melethia was helping Tura, then why? Could it be revenge because of Shento? No... It couldn't be that. Isadora saw Melethia took Shento's life with her own hands. So it couldn't be revenge. Isadora knew it couldn't be love for Tura. That man was too dangerous and crazy. There would be no way Melethia would fall for that. But then what could it be if Melethia knew about the murder? ... Knew...

Suddenly, a flashback replayed in her head. Isadora suddenly remembered what Tura had told her on the night of the fourth murder. Could it be?

"Melethia?" Isadora asked. She was curious of whether it was true or not. What better way to know than to ask? "Tell me. If you knew about this murder.... Are you one of the three honored guests?"
PostPosted: Mon Sep 07, 2009 11:05 am

Melethia stepped out of the way. She then punched Leon in the face. What else was she to do, she was unarmed at the moment.

"If you want to battle with me, do it later." She said, "We've got more important things to worry about. And to answer your question Isadora, yes I am one of the honored guests."

Leon was surprised when the punch had so much impact to send him flying back, nearly right next to Isadora and on his knees none the less! Who was this woman, really, to have such power?

He rubbed his cheek. It had been the same place that his superior had punched him back after his rampage with Dullahan, and it stung twice as hard because the blow was made in pure disrespect. If you want to fight we can do it later.

He didn't want the scores settled later, he wanted them to be settled now. There was explaining to be done, and not ten years away. NOW. "Ya got some nerve strikin' me!" Leon shouted with anger. "And o' course an 'ccomplice is a guest! 'Honored'? Not in th' least! Ya went an' killed people, dun' care if they be crim'nals... but people wi'out mercy! Ya got no good answer for lettin' tha' happen!"
