"Fighting on our side or not, that man is the reason the Confederation is our enemy..." Carlyle muttered. "No, the angels are," he corrected himself. "I... I don't think the captain wanted us to know about that. If she knows, herself. She's a member of Angeldust, isn't she?"

The weight of the situation dawned on him. "I think you're right! Oh jeez...this is bad...the Magus-General doesn't look too happy about the Angels. And what about Sai? It's pretty clear that he is a good guy, as far as we're concerned. Oh, what to do, what to do..." He started pacing the observation deck.

Ty held up a finger for a halt and sniffed the air. "That way," he said with a grin. He was glad that he had never taken his wallet out. "I'm in the mood for some normal food, if you are" he mentioned as he started walking towards the source of the smell. It was, if he had guessed right, a Burger King. Hurrah for franchises.
The place wasn't more than two or three blocks away. "So what kind of history do you have with the Coven? That was some pretty sweet shooting back there." He made sure not to walk too close to her; she seemed the type who would want a good deal of space after that fight.

Dremmeur Sai stood. Joe and Paul walked to the door.
Then, an angel walked in.
"Well, well," the angel spoke in its divine, otherworldly voice. "What are you doing with that prisoner?"
"We're sending him back where he came from," Joe replied, a dangerous look crossing his face.
"Oh? Hell? I can assist with that," the angel "offered" nonchalantly, a blade of light forming on his hand.
"Stand. Down. Now." The angel glared at Joe but obeyed his command. "He's being returned to Confederation territory."
Rose glared at the back of Joe's head as well.
"This way, Mr. Sai."
"We won't forgot this, Magus-General," the angel quietly growled as they walked out.
"Good," Joe said. "I hope you don't. Because justice is being done this day."

Cassandra nodded absent-mindedly. He could've suggested eating at a taco truck and she would've gone along. It really didn't matter to her; she was blanking out her thoughts and deadening her mind. It felt like there was still blood caked on the back of her neck, through her hair, on her shins, on her arms - it was driving her insane, and she couldn't shake the feeling, so she tried to pretend it wasn't there.
It didn't seem to be much working; every half-minute or so she'd reach up and grab her neck, and occasionally feebly disguise it as scratching.

"Should we go down there and meet him?" Isaac asked of Carlyle quickly. They needed to act now if they wanted to catch him.

"We probably shouldn't, Rose didn't want us to be here... s**t, that was scary. I feel like a little kid when I see that kind of power and influence being thrown around," Carlyle whispered reverently.

Isaac barely heard him, such was his consternation. He wanted to go down there, not only to meet Joe Simpson but also to maybe search for some clarity about the Angels. But he certainly didn't want to do it alone, and Carlyle was right. "Yeah..." Isaac said, deflating. "We might as well go enjoy our leave, right?"

Out of the corners of their eyes, Isaac and Carlyle saw Rose heading the opposite direction of Joe on the monitors. Their eyes met and they quickly determined which way to go. Hastily thanking Triton on the way out, they figured out the path to take to intercept Joe and followed it hurriedly.

Isaac made a filler post, since he couldn't really do anything without the GM posting.

The Coven recruits managed to get in front of Joe's path as he was to be escorting Dremmeur Sai back to the docking back.
He was walking in their direction now - the question merely remained of what to do about the living legend upon whom they now had uninterrupted line of sight.

Isaac suddenly got the weight of what they were doing. He froze, unable to breathe, let alone move, as Joe approached. He became acutely aware of every single flaw on or within himself. He hoped Carlyle would still be able to talk to the Savior of Beijing.

Carlyle moved to speak, but something came over him: a realization.
22 years. 22 years of harassment because I can never be like this man. 22 years of frustration and ancient movies because everyone thinks this man is some sort of flawless golden paragon and I am physically incapable of ever becoming a model of him like everyone else wants to be and like everyone else thinks everyone should be and <******** him. He began breathing hard and slowly, deliberately turned around. "I don't think I'll be talking to him, after all," he quietly informed Isaac, stalking off in no particular direction, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and flicking his long, black telescoping cigarette holder to extend it, his fingers shaking as he lit the cigarette and took a deep breath of the fumes.

Isaac was left standing alone, a few yards away from Joe, Paul, and Dremmeur.
