EK, the Assault Frigate Mk.2 has been completely removed from service... its a rather useless vessel compared to the "mark 1" and they never made very many.
For the Republicans...
A Republic Task Force is centered around a single Star Cruiser, in the case of the Post-Dark Empire environment it'd most likely be an MC80a, MC80b, or Imperial-class Star Destroyer.
In the Rebellion era, there was usually a dedicated medical ship attached to each task force, this has probably been discontinued with the use of permanent bases post Endor. Usually they'll have one heavy frigate for support such as an Assault Frigate, MC60, MC40, Victory-class Star Destroyer, or other ship in that size class. They'll also have a single specialized frigate, like a Nebulon B, Corona, or Liberator. Usually there will be two to three star corvettes as well, such as a DP25 Gunships or CR90s. In the rebellion era there was usually at least six Gallofree Transports or similar vessels to carry replacement parts for the group and conduct space based repairs. Like the medical frigate, these ships are no longer needed in such a role thanks to use of permanent bases.
The bad news is such a Task Force was usually headed by a Rear Admiral during the Rebellion and would require at least a Commodore or Line Captain during the New Republic era. Ergo, you don't get such a large force.
Your maximum rank is a captain, you may have 1 Star Destroyer sized ship at your disposal without any support or a smaller command ship (Heavy Frigate scale or smaller) with supporting ships (Frigate scale or smaller).

Dang, I was aiming for Commodore rank, but meh.
So either an Imperial II-Class SD on its own, or a Victory II-Class/AF M1 with a pair of CR90s?

So, like, anyone think up a character template yet? Or character skeleton or what ever it’s called.

So do we have anyone who is thinking about playing a member for the Republic yet? All I am seeing is Imperial, terrorist, and neutral.I'm not looking at playing a Republican but I would like some clarification.
Also even though my Imperial Intel operative has been burn noticed. He's still pro-Empire, right now he is just trying to clear his name and expose the conspiracy that got him burned. (Most definitely Cale's terrorist group) So in other words he's the little voice screaming about something being wrong and ignored by the major players until it is too late. Because it's hard to expose a conspiracy when your own side want's you dead and the opposing side isn't too fond of you either.

Damn when I restricted it to heavy frigates if you wanted more than one ship I basically guaranteed a Victory-class as the heart of your fleet. May I make a suggestion...
If you want more offensive firepower use a Victory I-class rather than a Victory II-class. The Victory I-class has more offensive firepower thanks to its capital ship size concussion missile tubes, whereas the Victory II-class has Ion Cannons and a slightly weaker construction (They're meant to be cheaper to build than the Victory Is and more general purpose than the older boat.) If you insist on flying a Victory II I'll switch my ship from a Victory II to a Harrow-class. Which actually is probably a good idea anyway. The Harrow is slower (But then any speed benefit I have is negated by operating within the Im 418s gravity well) but a bit more armored.

Ah, yeah. The Victory I also has a greater troop complement, which I like. I shall ponder on this.
You bring up legit points.

You know we're post Dark Empire... that means some New Republic commissioned replacements for the Victory and Imperial-class are floating around. Any interest in the New Republic replacement for the Victory-class Star Destroyer/Heavy Frigate? Republic-class Star Destroyer/Heavy FrigateIgnore what it says about having more firepower than an Imperial I... Wookieepedia woefully undervalues the armament of the Imperial I. 40 Heavy Turbolasers, 40 Heavy Turbolaser Batteries, and 20 Ion Cannons put it more in line with a Victory II-class (20 Quad Turbolasers, 40 Turbolaser Batteries, and 20 Ion Cannons) Plus you can carry one more starfigther squadron than a Victory-class.

Yeah, I saw it when I was looking through Republic ships earlier. It has a beautiful complement, but such an odd design.

K-Blade So, like, anyone think up a character template yet? Or character skeleton or what ever it’s called. I'll make one up, they are all usually the same, give or take. Hey Johnny, you may get along with my Inspector, on certain levels anyway.
