Salutations folks,
I am bohemian Lioness, aka Lioness, I am new and not just the guild. I've been part of Gaia for about a month now, so I can be considered pretty new. I do enjoy taking part in many activities such as gossiping, visiting speakeasies/bars, teaching myself to draw, and generally failing at it.
This along with my love of reading and writing, clearly shows I am a well rounded individual...right?
Of course.
Um, Okay, I also yatter a lot. Clearly.

Welcome to the guild, you two. If you plan on joining the guild roleplay, set up a character profile in the thread titled 'Skotti's Office'. Currently it's an excellent time for new members to join the main RP (titled 'Right to the Night'). Keep in mind that we need roleplayers to post somewhat often, and we don't tolerate powerplaying or cybering. Follow the rules and don't bite off more than you can chew, and you're golden.

There is no subscription feature for guilds yet, although the main Guilds page has a sidebar containing the guilds you're in, sorted by activity. Single-clicking on one will show you a list of the five most recent topics. The home page of a guild has a panel that does the same thing.

Valindreth My name is Valindreth, and I am here to serve the Kuro gang. Welcome to the guild. To prepare for roleplaying, make a profile here. You can be as descriptive or nondescript as you want. It's not mandatory to use any avatar simulator if you can accurately describe your character, although it is a popular choice. Our RP structure is freeform (in theory, though, because we were just ditching a rotating one-writer structure after more than two years; old habits die hard) and people are encouraged to collaborate. If you've got a good imagination and can think of many ways a situation can play out PM me, I Sinistro I, Nariana, or kdgalaxy; at least one of us will be able to work with you. ((Other guildies: if I forgot to mention you, then either I haven't heard of any collab plans you have, you told me that you're more of a participant than someone who comes up with things for the story, or you haven't been posting all that much)). If you'd rather play along, that's fine too. Remember that you don't need plans or anything like that to contribute to the plot. In most cases there's no such thing as 'getting in the way' of plans. If you see the opportunity for something and want to do it, follow through with it. ---- As an aside note: the amount of activity here fluctuates with people's school and work schedules, so please don't assume the guild is dead. If it bothers you when the latest post in the roleplay dates back a week or more, suggest a solution in the OOC thread.

I think a few posts up (I'll get it its own thread eventually) there's our expectations and some very detailed instructions on how to get started in the forum roleplay, if that's what you're interested in. There's a new format (Towns/Rally/VH Roleplaying) still in its planning phase; I'll send out an announcement on that after I get all the bolts in. Also, plan on staying active in this guild for the long term or at least give us a heads up if you ever start losing interest in the roleplays. We really don't like it when people join and then disappear a few weeks after without even telling us why or if they'll even be back. There are threads where you can post reasons for leaving, and a contacts thread for when you can't access Gaia but do have access to instant messaging, email, or even a phone.

Thanks, I scrolled up and read through the post when I finish posting. I figured I might want to edit, but then decided against it. I'm wondering, is it possible to edit a character even after you've started role play? Or are you stuck with what you write? Cause I've scanned through the role play and I love what I see, but I can't seem to settle a good character in my head and I might need a few run through before I can make a good solid character. Other than that, I plan on being active. So long as my lights stay on since I'm currently living in on the edge of the Dark Void once known as Lower Manhattan or so long as don't have the money to get any games.
