The man who had pushed him did not answer. Oujay just sighed and closed his eyes. "He was probably just fooling around," he thought as he opened back up his eyes. He decided to just ignore the man who pushed hm and turned his body, he began to walk out of the arena.

He slightly turned his head, as he was still walking, to look at the battle. The fight was still going on. He son reached some stairs and he turned his head, to face forward, as he walked down. Once he reached the last step of the stairs, he stopped walking, to look for the exit. It took him a few seconds, but once he saw it, he started walking towards the exit, to leave the arena. He still thought about the man who had pushed him off his seat and down to the floor, but he removed the thought from his head once he exited the arena.

As he took a step out of the arena he stopped as he felt the same bad feeling he had felt earlier, when he was inside the arena. "What is that feeling?" he asked himself quietly as he rubbed his head in confusion. Oujay thought he was starting to go crazy. Once again, he removed the thought from his head and looked around the festival. "What should I do?" he asked himself as he removed his hand from his head. He didn't know what to do, but he just started walking in a direction, hoping to find something interesting along the way.

Before the Dragon's Bane could do anything, he was whisked from the room, by a powerful magic. He suddenly reappeared inconveniently in the sky, over the festival. However, with a midair flip, he landed gracefully atop one of the buildings.

Shento looked around, keeping himself from sight. Noticing that his bow was still in his hands, he proceeded to store it on his back. He heard the calls of one of his comrades, but said nothing in reply. He'd reveal himself later, if he wanted to be noticed. He lived a large part of his life being a shadow, so it came natural to him. He looked around again, noting the people and activities. When he was done, he took a few steps back and sighed.

A small, delicate flower, fluttering in the breeze...

¤▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬¤

A hand gently ruffling her hair.
A small smile came to her face, already knowing who the hand belonged to without even having to look. There's only one person who would ruffle her hair in the way that it was now. Still, Jyoti turned slightly to face Misura. Her hands raised to rub her eyes to check one last time that it wasn't just a dream.

Nothing changed. It was reality. She trembled slightly and a tear threatened to appear in the corner of her eye (she had the dignity to at least not cry in front of the other heroes, Misura being the exception). "Y-you're back..." She whispered softly, stating the obvious. "I-I can't believe it. We're... you're..." The valkyrie took a deep breath to calm herself and to stop the stuttering. She looked up and her violet eyes met Misura's azure ones.
"... I missed you, Misura."

And then, they were gone with a simple wave of a hand, reappearing in Eyris. Jyoti blinked, confused. She looked left, right, and left again. Eyris? This was really Eyris? The valkyrie didn't believe it. She turned again and spotted a familiar face in the sea of people: Kyros. A smile came to her face. "Thank goodness..." She carefully made her way over to the man, trying not to bump into too many people while keeping her tome clutched close to her chest.
... I'll need to get a horse later... She thought to herself as each step brought her closer and closer to her comrades.

People really did gather in thick clumps when they were together, Amelia reflected as she pushed past a gaggle of giggling women. They all tossed her a rather incredulous look, taking in the armor, the weapon, and simple clothes underneath before laughing again, walking away from the General. Amelia ignored them. Not like she cared what random strangers laughed at her about, and with a cart in the distance that seemed to be selling sandwiches, her attention was effectively diverted.

She again went to wading through the crowds of people, trying not to hit people as she pushed herself through. Why did they never realize that they ought to part when someone wanted past? "Ex-excuse me!" Amelia shouted over the roar of people's voices. As she tried to weave around a woman with a rather large skirt, a man holding a bottle of beer, shouting something very loudly, crashed right into her side. Amelia tried to keep her balance, but a few unsteady steps later, she found herself careening right into the side of a rather tall red-headed man.

Amelia stepped away, holding her empty palm up, as if to proffer a peace offering. "I'm sorry, sorry! I lost... lost my balance, see, this man..." Amelia gestured to the side, then found the beer-drinker was already gone. Oh. Amelia looked back, took a little step back. Sometimes these warrior types had horrible tempers... She smiled sheepishly to him. "It was a mistake, don't worry, it won't happen again."

Aran too, had felt that weird feeling you get when you know something bad is about to happen. Although, it could be that he was just hungry so he decided to shake it off. Aran headed to one of those pop the balloons with the dart game. They were impossible, and yet so fun and addictive.

"Want ta try yer hand at a game o' darts son?"

The boothman said to him. "How much is it for 2 rounds?" Was his reply, and he was answered with "6.00$ for 15 darts" Aran handed him the money and began to toss the darts at their targets.

Amara squealed. There was hope for getting strawberries! "Yay! Let's go, let's go, let's go!!" She reached over, tugging on both Alihi and Ephraim's cloaks excitedly, giggling with amusement that her mommy and her big brother Ephie were both wearing cloaks. "Food, food, food, food, food~"

A moment later, she was gone. The child had run off once more, leaving her mother and Ephraim behind. "A-Amara! Wait up!! Once more, Alihi was forced to chase after her overly-energetic daughter. She shook her head, carefully weaving through the crowd to the best of her abilities, keeping an eye on the pink dressed redhead a good twenty or so feet in front of her.
What, do I need to put her on a leash so she doesn't keep running off like this?!

Teifi the Dancer

But when the
madness stops, you'll be alone.

◣ ♪ I can't feel nothing at all... ♪ ◥
You've confused me in a way that
I've never known...

Teifi thankfully felt his muscles relax beneath her hands when she spoke to Kyros- goddess knew what would've happened if he'd turned on her in his fervor- and allowed herself to let out a resigned breath as the others awoke beside her. The sounds of crackling stone were only dampened by the steady percussion of her heart beating once again within her chest; she could almost hear the rhythmic pulse ringing in her ears, a steady bass beat that promised that her new found life was not merely an illusion of a desperate mind.

Loki's baritone voice did not scare her at all, and with a numbness, she realized that she scarcely recognized it as it flooded over her ears. And yet, this sense of odd ignorance did not perturb her as, with a dash of magic, she felt as if the floor was being swept from her feet. Struggling to regain her balance as she clutched her sacred sash Brisecschal in her hands, the crimson-haired dancer straightened up when the magic loosed its hold upon her form. With her eyes struggling to readjust to the sudden change in illumination, Teifi nevertheless forced herself to look about quickly.

He'd mentioned a festival. But the manner of the frivolities seemed so much more chaotic than those she was accustomed to seeing.

An itch accompanied the back of her mind as she struggled to get a hold of just where she truly was- it did not match at all the town she once walked in during her youthful years. If this was Eyris, then it had truly metamorphosed beyond anything she could have possibly imagined; it looked more like her home, back in the old country, than the soil she first stepped on after her emergence into this foreign land. Regardless, she knew she would have to work with the hand she was dealt, and looked about accordingly.

Kyros was always the easiest to see, though Castello was far easier to hear. Kyros could roar, but the raven could screech, if he put his mind (and voice) to it. Looking up and seeing those dark wings blot out the sun for a split second, Teifi covered her eyes and waved to him for a moment before calling out to him.

"Castello, I'm here! Come now, don't get lost!" Feeling maternal instinct tug at her, she resisted the urge to start coaching the laguz out of the air. He knew how to fly, and she knew well that he could land, but there was still that persistent feeling that he'd get into some sort of mischief if she didn't keep her eye on him. Making her way instead to the largest figure in the crowd, she approached just in time to hear Amelia's hurried apology and apparent surrender.

The dancer suppressed a laugh. Though Kyros was rather large and intimidating, she had nothing to fear from just a little bump.

...She hoped.

"It looks like you've made a friend, Ky! Who's this?" Walking up to Amelia in a friendly manner and smiling softly to the frazzled blonde, she held out her hand with an understanding look.

"No need to look so frightened. Are you all right, dear?"

She could hear him following her. Half of her wanted him to go away, to be let alone. The other half--the stronger half--wanted to be with him. Then he spoke, the sound of his voice causing her to stop, if only so she could listen to it.

My son, she thought, the words unfamiliar, unused, but right. He's exactly like his father.

The last time she'd seen him before coming to Learania . . . he'd been so little then. Not even four years old. She'd just up and disappeared as far as anyone in Elibe knew. She never got to see him grow up, never got to see--

Abruptly she stopped that train of thought before it got even more painful.

"Heh. I'm sorry," she apologized. "I'm being foolish." She turned, looking at his face, really looking. Yes, she'd seen him here before, but she'd never really seen him. He'd grown up so much. He looked so much like his father.

She smiled softly, only a small smile. "You're right; we haven't spent much time together. I'm sorry. I haven't really . . . been myself lately." Cautiously she approached him, then gently wrapped her arms around him in an embrace. "Thank you, Roy."

Dread Reaver Kyros

PostPosted: Wed Jun 03, 2009 6:36 pm

Kyros laughed a hearty laugh, expecting Castello to have just not heard him. The boy would turn up eventually, and his eyes were good enough to pick him out of the crowd, surely. The Warrior took in the smells of the plaza, the happiness around him. He could smell the cakes and candies cooking, their sugary glazes wafting through the air. The kebabs and healthier foods left a roasted, entrancing smell, quickly dashed away with the foul odor of alcohol and a drunken villager stumbling past.

...I'm alive. Another chance...? Things began to come back to him. His cooking, his heroic deeds, his family... Teifi, the kids... other than Castello, at least. Were the rest of them alive, too? Were they all given second chances at life?

His attention waned as he sunk into thought, aroused by a familiar scent, one he'd known all too well. ...flowers?

He turned around, a delighted smile beaming from him as he scooped the small, blond girl up, almost cradling her in his arms.

"Jyoti! My little girl is okay!" Without even letter her speak, he snuggled her close, like she was some sort of teddy bear. As he laughed a hearty, loud laugh, he ignored the probably shrieks from the girl, hoisting her onto his shoulders as he hopped slightly, as if someone had bumped into him.

With another uproarious, almost sinister, laugh, he patted the blond General on her head. As he put an arm around her small shoulders, he crouched down, Jyoti shaking on his shoulders as they descended.

"Ah, don't be sorry, girl! Be happy! It's a festival!" He pulled her in close, giving her a large hug, one that could crush bones, before picking her up as he stood. "I've someone I want you to meet, girlie. What's your-"

While he turned around, he spied a head of majestic scarlet hair, on a beautiful face he'd not gotten to see but briefly since his awakening. Clearly, Kyros was beyond a jovial mood, giving hugs to everyone he saw.

Teifi was no exception.

The brute closed in on the woman, two girls still dangling from him, as he reached his only free arm around, giving her a light hug, quickly putting down young Amelia and grinning like a child in a candy store.

"Teifi! I found you!" He singingly chimed, sheepish grin on his face. "I found Jyoti, if you can't tell, and this little girl here just bumped into me. What's your name, little girl?"

Castello swept in a swift circle at the sounds of Kyros and Teifi's voices. He swung himself upward as he approached and flared his wings, then dropped gracefully to the ground. "There you two are," he chuckled, canting his head to look down at Amelia. "You always did like the young ones, Kyros," he said, his face splitting into an insidious grin. "Here now, I knew you were feeling a bit starved, but don't you think you can wait?" He flicked his curled bangs out of his face and spread, then folded his wings.

"Seriously, though, holy crap I'm hungry. Long nap does that to you, huh?" He grinned at Teifi, high on life. "I'm gonna take a quick look around, okay? See what's changed. Then maybe we can get lunch, huh?" He shifted, spreading his wings slowly. He paused, distracted momentarily by the sudden realization that he was surrounded by shiny, easily concealed objects. There wasn't much to fear, really, from just bumping someone on accident, but this definitely didn't seem to be a man to take things lightly, and Amelia found herself taking another step backwards. "He ran off, see, but there was this man... I think he was drunk, actually," Amelia found herself veering off of the point she had been trying to make, but thankfully for her, a calm voice nearby was sufficient to draw her attention.

"It looks like you've made a friend, Ky! Who's this?" Amelia turned her eyes and found a rather slim, lithe woman approaching them. With the soft-looking silk clothes, pure white against dark-tanned skin, gold sandals covering dainty feet, the long red sleeves covering most of her arms, the elegant sash in her hands... Amelia found herself feeling very, very plain. She ran a hand through her gold-blonde hair, the locks that framed her face contrasting greatly with this new woman's long red hair, mostly covering the jewelry across her forehead. "No need to look so frightened. Are you all right, dear?"

Wait, are you a scared little twelve-year-old, or are you a General? You're eighteen years old, you're basically an adult, man up! Amelia straightened her shoulders a little and smiled to the woman. Her hand raised a little, but she didn't take it just yet. She still didn't know who she was. "Of course I'm fine. I just took a little spill. I--"

The man was patting her head. That was a good sign, right? "Ah, don't be sorry, girl! Be happy! It's a festival!" And then his arm was moving and-- Oh God that would have hurt if not for the armor. Amelia squeaked slightly at the crushing hug, and before she could move away, he was picking her up. Wait, what? Amelia clung onto his sleeve instinctively. People didn't exactly pick her up on a regular basis.

She stayed silent as the man hugged the sash-holding woman now, trying not to attract too much attention. The tactic didn't seem to work, though, as he placed her right back down on the ground and asked for her name. Didn't seem proper to not give it, so...

"Ah... Amelia. It's Amelia." She rubbed a hand against her blonde hair self-consciously, looking to her toes before back to the man and his small friend, then to the dancer, and back. "And... you're... Ky...?" she asked hesitantly, going off of what this 'Teifi' woman had said.

"You always did like the young ones, Kyros. Here now, I knew you were feeling a bit starved, but don't you think you can wait?"

Amelia found her face paling just a tad. I really hope he's referring to normal food. She kept the hesitant smile on her face, though. Suddenly being surrounded by entirely new faces (who all didn't really seem to mind the fact that they didn't exactly know her) was pretty overwhelming. She cleared her throat, regaining her composure, and spoke to the raven this time. "And... ah, you are? Uhm, I'm Amelia."

After a few minutes of walking, a nice smell soon appeared in the air. Oujay stopped and the scent came into his nose. The scent of food was lingering all around the festival. Oujay hadn't really eaten much today and soon the feeling of hunger came upon him. He looked around and he soon spotted a cart where he can buy some food. "I guess I'll just get a small bite," he said to himself, so only he can hear it. He started walking towards the cart of food.

After a few minutes, he reached the cart, but there was only one obstacle stopping him from the food, there was a line. Oujay just stood in the line calmly as he waited for the food.

As he was waiting in line, he decided to just look a look around him to see what other people were doing at the festival. People were walking around the place looking for something to do. Most of them were either eating food, talking with other people, or playing games. He looked back at the line to see that if had moved up a few people. He took the step forward so no one would complain that he was moving too slow. "The Line is moving faster than I thought," he whispered as he crossed his arms. He moved his head to the side to see that he was about five spots away from getting food. He moved his head back and continued to stand there. He was a little bit bored so he started whistling to himself. No one would really be bothered by the whistling because there were louder things in the festival around them than just a small whistle.

After a few minutes he had gotten his food. He walked away from the line and was holding meat. Meat was really all they had in that cart, but Oujay didn't complain, it was still after all. He took a seat at a bench and started to dig in into the meat. "Better tasting than I expected," he thought as he began to chew the meat, but really when you're hungry anything would really taste good. Oujay looked up and saw Amelia with a bunch of other people. "Who are they?" he thought as he had never seen them before. "Probably just some of her friends," he thought as he continued to eat the meat. He soon finished and then tossed it in the trash bin next to the bench he was sitting. He decided to just go over to Amelia and just say hi and so he started walking towards her.

He hasn't really talked to Amelia that much, nor any other person from FEFGA. Since he was a shy person after all, but he was trying to get better at that and be more talkative. Hopefully, it turns out well for him. He soon reached where Amelia was and there was those strangers around her too. He looked at them for a moment. They all looked different, but Oujay soon averted his attention back to Amelia. "Umm Hi there," he said to Amelia as he tried to speak. It looks like he was still shy.

For a moment, Ephraim nearly lost the tactition and Amara. "Oh shoot" he muttered, spinning a little around the crowd until he located teh back of Alihi's head and soon after Amara running AWAY from them. "Oh bugger" he thought, weaving through the crowd until the little girl stopped at what looked like an ice cream stand...oh wait what?? Little early to be eating ice cream without eating anything wouldn't it? It'd spoil her lunch!

He approached her the same time Alihi did and to be honest..he was a little out of breath. "How..do..you...keep up...like this..???" addressing the mother of this speedy gonzala child. Ephraim watched Amara jump up and down on the stand and looked at them both with puppy dog eyes, wanting badly to have a cone of ice cream.....and for some reason....Ephraim couldn't say 'no'.

"Oh dear....." Isadora gasped lightly as she saw Ed ran to her acquainted friend. Ed was right about Ganon. He was tall. However, it seemed that Ed had forgotten to inform the paladin that Ganon was a large lizard.

Although she had met other laguz and dragons, whether they were beast or bird, never had she met one who was from a different race. Then again, some of the people came from different worlds.

Not wanting to be rude, Isadora walked up to Ganon and addressed herself. "Hello, Mister Ganon. My name is Isadora the Dame Knight. I've heard quite well about you from Ed."

ShadowEdogawa
Ed laughed as Ganon seized her by the neck and delivered a fierce noogie. She clutched at his arm, trying to wriggle out.

"Aaaah, you jerk!" she exclaimed as she felt his knuckles burn into her scalp. Then she smacked at his arm, looking up excitely as she continued, "Oh man, ya! This is Lady Isadora, great paladin, she is!"

As Ed slipped out of his grasp, she noticed Ziaram approach. Her expression went from exuberant to confused. "Ehh, yeah? Lots of us know about the hero Shento. What of him?"

A silence seemed to pervade the seconds that parted her statement from any sort of reply. Everything seemed to mute or something like it. Unease stole upon some of the people, particularly those around her, and it quickly dawned upon Ed as well. The runes etched into her body felt as though they tingled. Alerted by this sensation, Ed tilted her head back to view the skies.

Knew it, ah did! Ain't a catastrophe willin' ta pass up the Litha month, part of her angrily thought.

Ganon grinned, releasing Ed and offering Isadora a low, extravagant bow. "It is my very greatest pleasure to make your acquaintance, Lady Isadora! Did you enjoy my performance?" He straightened up completely, towering over the crowd, and wagged his tail a bit as he stepped around next to Isadora to allow a few people walk by. "What is it you do, my lady? I am a humble entertainer, myself." He offered her a wink (blink?) and flashed the sort of grin only a man who grins professionally can flash.

Alihi laughed softly, a little out of breath herself. "I spend a lot of time... with her." She told him with a grin, watching Amara hop.

Hop. Hop. Hop. Hophophop. Hophophophophop. Amara stared at both Alihi and Ephraim with the cutest puppy dog eyes she could make. She smiled sweetly at Ephraim when he asked what flavor she wanted, knowing that he would be more willing to buy her an ice cream cone than her mother would (that sneaky child!). "... Strawberry, please~" She requested nicely, now hopping side to side instead of up and down.
