Edit: omg I type too slow
Annelie didn't waste time, nor words, and immediately turned around and headed towards the place where she had seen Elae go down. The crowds were thick, but once through the out rim things became easier. She gave a few "Excuse us" remarks, but whether or not they were even heard is debatable.
Coming through the candidates, it became completely positive and clear that it had indeed been Elae who had fainted, and Annelie would've taken a flying leap if crowds permitted. But since they didn't, she just hurried her pace and dropped any type of politeness.
"Elae? Elae, what happened?" she asked as she knelt down. Coming in late, she had missed any quips made from the huddle around Elae, which was probably a good thing. She touched the girl's shoulder and then glanced at Notos, whom she didn't recognize, and then the other girl who was waving around what definitely did look like parsley. ...Parsley. Right.... that was so going to help.Giving another look around, she noticed La and was glad that someone else whom Elae apparently knew had also come to her 'rescue.'

T'ka's concern had been growing. That girl...that girl fainted. And there certainly was a lot of coughing. Lots of coughing, murmurs, worried whispers. Just what was going on? She sat up a little, looking around. Where were the healers? Surely that girl that fainted needed attending to! She turned to look where Kallista was pointing...
"Gh'lan!" she exclaimed, eyes going round and wide. One of the few people she knew here who she felt she could call 'friend'. Rider of brown Khunoth, one of the only dragons who Haanyath would admit as her sibling. And here he was, fainted. What should she do?
She practically jumped from her seat, pushing her way past people and around chairs. "Gh'lan!" she almost whined, as she reached him, grabbing him firmly by the shoulder, and giving him a little shake. "Gh'lan, come on. The hatchings going on, don't you want to see that?" she prodded. <>
For once, Haanyath wasn't prone to argue. Her rider was worried...so she would do what she was told for a change. <> Haanyath began. <> Haanyath complained, sounding a little annoyed.
But Haanyath wouldn't admit that she was a little worried too. Shards, if she admited to having even a little bit of a soft side...T'ka would never let her hear the end of it! Haanyath snorted for good measure, managing to work up a bit of agitated orange in her eyes. Why were humans so dramatic? Picking a time like this to get sick...

Drawing herself up with a distinct glare at Ariaen, Zara snapped, "Even if you're an Apprentice--especially if you're an Apprentice--you should know better than to medicate without supervision! Now if you're not going to help get her to the Infirmary, then Get. Back. On. The. Sands. Now." Her grey eyes were stony, her jaw clenched as she gritted out the last few words. Bloody Apprentices thinking they could save the world!
Be calm, Fuxith said soothingly. You do not want to make a scene.

Uroru, well U'ru now, had taken a seat off where those who had Impressed were directed to stand. His little dark blue Atosith had backed in between his feet, and sat there looking grumpily at those who came near them, those who newly Impressed and his siblings alike. U'ru had been quite amused that after the green the eggs seemed to hatch in pairs, the two bronze brother, rivals already, and the two green sisters.
Mine, I didn't need another. I found you. Why have we not gone away yet? I'm tired, Mine. Too many people, Atosith grumped nibbling at the meat U'ru had offered him with a flattened hand.
The boy grinned running a knuckle along the back of the blue's neck. 'Atosith, they watched us when we came together. It would seem rude, I think, if we left and didn't offer the same courtesy. It won't be much longer...' His mental voice trailed off as one of the candidates sank to the ground, eliciting a frown and a knitting of his brow. Looking around, U'ru could see that quite a few on the sands and even some in the stands weren't looking all that great.
A touch of worry crept into Atosith's voice. Mine, why are the falling? Something bad? There's nothing that we can do. We can go someplace away? The last had been half question and half suggestion.
'I'm not sure, but something isn't quite right. No, not yet. Soon, then we can go. I promise. Where the shards are the healers? People seem to be wilting all around us.'
Atosith huffed, leaning against one of U'ru's legs. I'm not liking it.

La glanced at Zara and touched her arm lightly. "Easy, friend," she murmured, sparing a smile for the other girl. She knew her, though not entirely well, from their time working with the Weyr's healers. "You've done enough for the apprentice. Though you did it brilliantly," she added under her breath, shaking her head and shooting a glare at Ariaen.
Anne's arrival made her jump, and she glanced away briefly, still slightly unsure about how she was supposed to react in relation to a goldrider (or possibly just a beautiful woman. La was ambiguous about those sorts of things). "Anne, could you back up a bit?" she requested quietly. "The sooner we get her off the Sands, the better."

Ariaen's eyes hardened into a glare of full anger at Zara. "And just what were you going to do about it, huh?! I didn't want her to over heat, okay?! And for the record, I'm not a sharding Apprentice, thank you very much!" There when her blasted temper... again. Shard it all! She was late and it was habit to grab the bag.
She growled and glared at the people around her. Blooding Hatching was all that bloody matter to every shelling idiot there! She said nothing but spun on her heel and walked straight to the edge of the sands, near the stands.
Shard it all!

"If you aren't even an Apprentice," Lanakirene snapped aloud at the girl's outburst, "then stay away from the sick!"

Getting up, Kallista followed her friend over to the passed out brown rider. There was no way she would leave T'ka to handle whatever was wrong with him. When the other girl called his name, it clicked. Gh'lan! He had Impressed with them. His brown was one that they hadn't officially met yet.
Khunoth. Haanyath knows him well. Why is his rider sleeping? Astarteth asked curiously. She didn't quite understand what was going on with the humans and why so many were acting strange.
Moving close to T'ka, she looked around at the crowd. Some seemed to be half paying attention to him, others to the fainted girl who was awake and most were eyeballing the new green and her rider. A girl that she did not know. "Hey, does anyone have any water or wine? Anything?"
Giving Gh'lan another shake, Kallista spotted a crafter with a skin. Standing up, she grabbed it from the started man. "Give it to me! He needs it more than you do!"
Shards! There was no way the two of them could move him, was there? Handing the skin to T'ka, Kallista wore a worried look on her face. "Now what?"

Anne almost jumped herself when she was suddenly addressed, and she looked over at La with momentarily widened eyes. She blinked, then processed what had been requested and immediately began nodding her head.
"Oh! Yes, yes of course," she replied, standing and moving away a little but still keeping as close as she could. "C'ym's going to take her now, I think..."
She dropped off and raised her eyebrows at the Parsley-girl's sudden tantrum and then La's equally sudden growl. Ooooh dear...

Not even an Apprentice? Zara's jaw practically dropped at that. What in the cold dark void had the girl been thinking? But at Lana's hand on her shoulder she turned her head, taking a deep breath. "...Thanks. I just wish people would think before they waved whichever herb looked right at someone." Shooting a look after the Candidate she added. "Apparently, without proper training."
Dismissing it with a shrug, she continued, "Well, let's not waste any more time. Faranth knows what this girl might have."

Ariaen growled and kicked at the sand. She was such a sharding idiot sometimes! It was instinct brought on from her mother's training of her to wake up who ever fainted. It was just instinct. She considered just leaving the Sands and going back to her room, to sulk. But no, she couldn't do that because the bloody Candidatemaster would not approve.
GAH! This was why she never wanted to be a Candidate! Ari punched at sand, not caring how hot it was. She was sure she'd never Impress now. This whole thing was a waste of time, and she knew it.

Whether it was a blessing or not, Gh'lan hadn't hit the floor quite as dramatically as Elae had. In fact, he hadn't yet lost consciousness, though the rapid fire throbbing of his head threatened to send him on to the Void of dreams any moment. As it stood, he hadn't realized who else had been sitting in front of him (let alone next to him at this point) until T'ka practically exploded into his line of sight and grabbed his shoulders.
Helpfully, she shook him, which only increased his already swimming vision.
"Ugh.... don't do that... please.. T'ka." He slurred dizzily, the muscles along his neck and jaw loose and not so easily made to work properly. "Hatching...? Head hurts though..." Wait, what? His mind cleared a little, though he certainly couldn't focus properly. Shardit! Was there a Hatching going on? Was he missing it? What the hell was going o-
Gh'lan, be easy.
Ahhh... that voice again....wait? Who else was here...? Shardit why did they keep SHAKING him! "C'mon... m'head urts...."
Haanyath, tell your rider that he needs a Healer. Now. He does not act out. The brown finally replied to his green clutchsister, his own voice edged with an obvious frustration that he, Khunoth, could not personally swoop down and take care of his rider himself!

Oh, hey. There were other people here too. Besides the girl who was trying to stuff parsley up her nose. There was a girl who had Impressed last time and La and C’ym and Annelie… “Um… I don’t know what happened… I think I fell. I must have tripped on something.” She nodded almost fiercely, although most of that fierceness came from her throbbing headache. “Yes, I’m fine now. It must have just been the heat.”
Fardles. How embarrassing was that?! Fainting on the Sands?! She’d never hear the end of this unless she did something to salvage her reputation! And ‘you’re not a dragon’? What sort of… owww… she tried to stand up on her own and quickly regretted it. She was just so tired.
Before she could fall again, C’ym was there to help. Ah, C’ym. He was always a good friend, even if he blushed at just about anything. ~.~
“Don’t worry,” the Bronzerider smiled at Notos in what he hoped was a reassuring manner. It probably wasn’t, because C’ym was a rotten liar. “It’ll be alright.” He couldn’t be sure. He wasn’t a Healer. The little temper tantrum from the girl who had attempted to shove some unknown herb up Elae’s nose caused some brief amusement, but C’ym ignored it in favor of trying to just carry Elae since she clearly couldn’t get herself around.
Mentally, he made a note to ask her to lay off the bubbly pies later. “Let’s just… get her off the Sands and try to figure out what’s wrong in the Infirmary, alright?” Technically, they shouldn’t have even been on the Sands. C’ym was painfully aware of all the attention and it was making him a little nervous. He eyed the Queen dragon and bowed awkwardly, on the basis that he might as well apologize for stealing a Candidate from one of her children.
“La, Anne and… err… Zara? Can you three help me with Elae?” he asked. Honestly, he thought it was pretty stupid of a non-Healer trying to heal someone else, but there was a time and place for that punishment. It was up to Z’nal.
He found himself feeling sorry for Parsley Girl.
Carrying Elae off the Sands, C’ym tried to hurry, hoping the others would follow.

Well, at least he was concious. 'Thank Faranth Gh'lan, you scared me half to death," she whispered, letting go of him. Really. He shouldn't scare her like that. People might think she was nice if they saw her getting worried like that. "Just sit tight, I'm gonna get you help," she assured him, giving his shoulder a soft, reassuring pat.
<> Haanyath reported, sounding a little worried. Haanyath liked Khunoth. Khunoth's being unwell was not a good thing. <> Haanyath added, betraying her hidden concern. T'ka could only marvel at her dragon. Haanyath sure was a character. But now was not the time to dwell on something like that...
She stood up and waved an arm, looking around not, not frantically, but with determination. 'We need a healer, now," she called. Not yelling loud enough to disturb the hatching or the queen, but loud enough so that a lot of the surrounding people would hear her. Who cared what they thought? Certainly not T'ka. She only cared about the condition of her friend right now. And he was -definately- not well.
<> Haanyath informed proudly. It was her version of trying to soothe her brown clutchmate. And while it sounded more like bragging or a fact than comfort...well, at least she tried?
