Mike looked too Angel, "Um I dont think you need to Salute." he said.

The team started to move out. They ran down the same way they came exept with one person more.

"Right. Sorry sir."

Clanking down the hallway, my voice rings out down the hallway, my armor clanking agains the metal like the spartan's armor, for they were based on the same design, just different functionalities. The Spartans armor was more like a combat knife, while mine would be more like swiss army knife.

"Hey Eli! How long have you been down here? What kind of action have you seen?"

I ask as I run down the hallway, my boots clanking against the metal plating of the floor, occasionally, having to jump over some fallen debree and such, my LAAG gun out in front of me, not wanting to take any chances in finding foes down here. I had seen recordings and other things of the Flood, and I did not want to be caught empty handed when they finaly showed up and attempted to over whelm us.

He thought about what was being said and incorporated it into his own plan. "We could have those placed as you indicated at the bottom of the southern pass. I also have an idea I would like to add to that. We could also place those two M247 mounted machine guns a good distance uphill from that location, so as to protect them from the explosions. We would also want to make sure they weren't directly next to each other. We wouldn't want one plasma grenade taking out two of our heavy weapons." He stopped here and thought for a few moments before continuing. "Do we have any plasma grenades that have been recovered?"
He stared down at the southern pass area. "Yes, set up the machine guns apart from each, so when the enemy tried to come up the pass they would get caught in the minefield along with the crossfire of the machine guns." Looking over at the Major he again said, "plasma grenades? i believe so, we may have several picked up off the covenant infantry that alpha team drove off down in the forest. What do you have in mind?" the Lieutenant asked Major Orden curiously. Hoping he had a plan to make the covenant pay if they tried to come up the southern pass.

((kk cya laag! *farewell hug* cya when ya get back!))

Kristi finished tinkering with a plasma rifle, changing the fire nozzle, she had modified it for a bigger punch. She lied it by her side and looked at the two dead hunters, "Hey! I need someone to cover me while im down there, I want to try something out!" She called as she got up and started heading down the butte.

Eager and Cheeks did their jobs well. Each turret had at least 3 Marine guards armed with SMG's or BR55's. Thanks to Forte, the guns would run cleaner and smoother. Not as much recoil thanks to the new shock absorbers he put into the gun.

His turret was modified with special with his favorite bullets, the Fluker Specials. The Fluker's used a Special Brass shreader Casing with a small amount of Ntiro Gliserin soaked into the head. The body was filled with a amall ammount of Uranium. Not enough to leak and cause a Radioactive wasteland, but just enough to make sure if they survive through the hailfile, then they'd die later on of radiation.

Forte took his auto turret and slung it over his back. And went off to fix a Warthog's suspension system.

Kristi, seeing noone was covering her, just shrugged and took a knee next to a hunters fule rod gun, still attatched. She tried to find a way to remove it with her arms, if she was like the other SPARTENS it'd be no problem, but she wasnt enhanced with the implants so it was much more difficult.

He stared down at the southern pass area. What do you have in mind?" the Lieutenant asked Major Orden curiously. Hoping he had a plan to make the covenant pay if they tried to come up the southern pass.
"Well, it's only a rough idea. We could work out details and add other things as we come up with them, but...I was thinking about rigging some explosives obviously. I was thinking we could place low barriers a small distance behind the mounted guns. We could space them out and give them good angles for covering all the ground of the southern pass for certain people to be placed behind them. They could use them for cover while firing on the covenant forces. If the enemy makes it past the mine field and either destroys or makes it past the mounted machine guns, the placed marines should be able to deal with them. I was thinking a few marines per barrier. The thing is...we wouldn't want the covenant to overwhelm the barriers and use our own placements to protect themselves." He stopped again and considered the options: What to use to create the low barriers, exactly how many marines to place at each one and of course the marines would be equipped with their normal weaponry and fragmentation grenades, and which marines to select for the risky business of defending the southern pass.
"What would you recommend we make those barriers out of, Lieutenant? What do we have left that would make for good protection?"

Sergeant Forte approched The Major. He saluted and let his arm fall. "Sir, A thought just dawned onto me. The first defence wall is what will keep the Covenant fron attacking the 2nd wall. I was thinking about rigging up a system of Anti Lotus Tank mines under the Barriers. So that way, when we have to fall back, we jus blow the hell out of the first wall, and slow the Bastards down. I was also thinking about having 2 logs placed right before the 2nd wall. We'll tie them up and when we blow up the first wall, We let the logs loose."

Major Orden looked at Sergeant Forte and saluted him in return. He was somewhat surprised by Forte's idea. "Very good thinking. You're using the same tactic I am hoping to employ on our southern pass, except yours is on a larger scale and a little modified for the better. We won't want the Covenant using our own walls for defense. Just make sure you don't take too many of the mines. We will also be needing them. Take only what you need and place them in the most effective areas so that you can use as few as possible. Get to work on that right away."
He considered asking Sergeant Forte a question, but he decided it could wait and he let the sergeant leave.

Forte gave an Evil grin. "Would you like Shrapnal? Or Napalm?" He asked.

The Lieutenant answered the question Sergeant Forte had asked before leaving, "a mixture of both. Cause remember the Grunts, which theyll probably have leading the charge, breath methane. Over heat their tanks, or put a hole through them and itll explode."
