Grigori shrugged. "I dabbled for a bit in my previous life, but I was never too serious about it. I just tried to keep tabs of everywhere I'd been, more or less. Tried to find those angles that really brought out the best in everything. It was amusing, but I doubt I could have ever taken it up as a career. I guess I don't have the eye for all those captivating images." In his following silence, he thought about Orpheus's final question for a bit.
"I suppose the answer would be: we're only human, but that's pretty vague and generalized, hm? From what I understand, this is all tethered to the s**t that happened in Raccoon City all those years back." Grigori's eyes lifted to the ceiling as he too listened to the cacophony of audio the undead perpetrated.

"Guys, I just thought of something. Wouldn't a hospital be full of near-dead people ripe for infection?" Martin asked.

((Sry had a bit o trouble in rl. Also Sry Venom for the lack of discripion but I couldn't think of anything to call him. I don't write other people's names without my character know it. Then, only when I write for that character do I write the name. This way i can keep track if I've learned your nane)) Jake was planning his trip down the streets as he listened to this one guy's thought on the hospital idea. He lifted his headed and looked over at him. “Well contrary to popular belief, The hospitals are still a safe place from zombies. Now from the other inhabitants, I don't know. When the outbreak hit the local area, the first places people go to are malls, gun stores, super centers, hospitals, police departments, and so on. Here's the real kicker, These places rarely get over run. They'll fight the zombies and when one starts to change, the others would kill him and dump the bodies, or the person would walk out side with a bat or a knife and attack the zombies. This lead some people to go crazy and kill the others off thinking they we're tainted. As time went on the zombies leave the city and go out looking for survives and the people start to get jumpy waiting for the next zombie strike. Now the big question is,are those who inhabits the hospital friend or foe? That's what we need to find out um... who are you?”

"Also," Jack interjected, "As I said earlier, even zombies need able bodies and working brains. Otherwise they can't function. A man who's completely paralyzed becomes infected. He's still paralyzed even as a zombie. And dead people can't become zombies, their brains are already dead."

"That happened way before my time.", Orpheus said while moving from his current position to sit on a pew. As upset as he was, his photography had made him smile. He went through the photos, from the city to the church. After the few moments of going through memories, Orpheus had found a picture that he had not looked at since before the outbreak. The picture of his departed family. The smile on his face had disappeared. "Excuse me Mr. Murdock.", he said right before walking to a more secluded part of the church to mourn the loss that he tried so desperately forget. As he walked Orpheus solemnly swore and then moved his right hand across his chest and then kissed it up into the air.

"I think there's some large pots down in the kitchen, and next time we go to Walmart we can bring some large containers back."
Drusilla leaned against the wall, unsure of what o say or do. She hadn't been near people for a long time, not living people, and definitely not any man. Even before the outbreak she'd been awkward, preferring the safety of a classroom or a library to a club or bar.

"Wait, how do you even know the mechanism of their animation?" Martin objected. "And you didn't listen. I said near-dead people. If the zombies needn't fear conventional diseases, the hospital would be like zombie farms, full of people who can't react but are alive and, as zombies, of a normal level of mobility."

He laughed in spite of himself, "Walmart? That should be fun. I think we should wait until morning to go though, I've noticed that ZAK can see just as well in the dark... about how far away is it?" He stood in a reasonably relaxed pose, a small smile tugging at his lips, though his hand rested on top of the machete from habit.

She watched the men banter science. Lilith stayed quiet, merely waiting until they finished, or until she could put a word in. The latter happened first. "But it's been months since the initial infection, would the zombies have stayed in that building, shuffling around, so long after they ran out of near-dead people to bite?" To her knowledge, zombies went after food

"All I know is that, unless zombies can somehow regenerate lost or damaged matter, a man without legs will be a zombie without legs, a man with a damaged spine will be a zombie with a damaged spine. I'm not exactly sure how a sickness like cancer would affect a zombie, but that's a risk we'll have to take. If we stay organized and focus, we should be able to clear out any stray zombies even left in the hospital. Chances are any major mass of zombies would've gone off somewhere else by now."

"There are going to be a lot more people with diseases or a few broken bones or whatever than people missing whole limbs, and I've noticed that the zombies don't really react to pain, so a broken bone would mean nothing to them," Martin pointed out. "Also, some of them might've wandered off, but that means there's a high zombie-density in the surrounding area, first, and second, a ton of them probably got stuck in there, attached to equipment or trapped in closets or bathrooms they couldn't figure out how to open."
Martin crossed his arms. "In other words, the hospital and the surrounding area would be a deathtrap that won't even have many useful supplies."

Because Jack, Martin, and the rest were taking so long to get moving, there was an ominous thud on the roof of the library. No one knew exactly what it signified, but the atmosphere of the room suddenly got very tense. Those with the sensitivity required to notice it could feel danger; intuition, perhaps.

Lilith pursed her lips at the thump of the ceiling. It seemed like zombies were learning how to climb. That was a horrible thought. She shifted the weight of the metal object in her hands and looked about. "We should really get of here. I mean get in the truck and start running things over kind of urgency." She eyed the cynic of the group. "If you want to be a pessimist, you can do so after we're out of this situation." She was already starting for the bashed up door. Lilith was not going to be eaten in the library she'd spent the better part of her life in.

Jack gritted his teeth and looked to the roof. "As much as I would love to prove my point, she's got a point, we need to get moving now. We can argue about how I'm right later."

There was a high-pitched shriek from outside. It could only mean one thing: Lickers. Lickers were zombified bunnies that had long, quasi-prehensile tongues. They could move at high speeds and were harder to kill than a regular zombie. The others decided that Jack and Jake's combined Leadership skills meant they should get in the truck and go.
