Lacey awoke and quickly packed her things. She couldn't help but be curious and took a look. Using her ability, she scoped the area and noticed some of the burnt debris. This worried her even more, so she finished and started helping Toran and Mara with some of their things.

"Looks like something bad happened here," said Lana upon awaking. She was conveniently located inside the car on the passenger's seat. She didn't have any things to pack; only her school bookbag and her purse, which wouldn't be much use here anyway. She slung the bag with an Algebra II book and some papers in the trunk; it had just been lying around on the vehicle floor a while.
She had no things to pack, but she was quite hungry. She figured that she'd either tough it or eat something on the road possibly; whichever opportunity presented itself.
"Alright, looks like we're all ready?" she asked, looking around to see if her words were true.
The smell of smoke lingered in the air...

Suzume groaned as she was asleep "5 more minutes mom" She said rolling on her stomach on the ground, her face against the ground (XD) Suzume looked up none the less "All right, all right it seems it really is time to go"

While Lacey was packing, she couldn't help but get the feeling that she was watched. She seemed to be on alert. After a few more minutes, the feeling she got was gone. She shrugged and got some crackers out of her sack. She walked toward the truck.
"Would you like some crackers Lana?" she asked.
((In the real world)) Mathias stopped writing. His hands were shaking. Lacey's face appeared in his mind. Her piercing green eyes seemed to see right through him. He walked out of his room to get some fresh air. To the young author, the characters seemed more real than he thought. He kept trying to deny it, but he felt like he connected with the story. When he walked back inside his house, the news was on about a disappeared student.

Lana looked up for a moment. For less than a minute, Lana felt as though her body was somewhere other than her mind; they were detached. Her body was in this world and her soul was in her world. However, the feeling quickly passed when Lacey asked if she wanted any crackers. Lana figured that the feeling might have been an after effect of a weird dream, or the fact that it was morning and she wasn't fully awake yet.
"Sure, thank you!" Lana said, taking a couple of crackers. They seemed a rather substantial source of energy, and filled her stomach.
"Is everyone ready to head out?" she asked, looking around.

A cloaked boy stood high up in the air.
"The layer between these newly created realities and their source is thinning. Keep investigating this Mara. What we want to obtain is within our reach." He looked closer to the group and looked even more closely at Lana and Rhell. He began placing floating relics into the air. They began to resonate with each other, creating an eerie feeling in the air that only Lana and Rhell would be able to feel.
"All that's left is one more area, and for Mara to do her part."
(Only Lana and Rhell would feel something because they are from the same place as Mathias. Anyways, my head is just bursting with ideas guys.)

Rhell ate a piece of cheese on bread from the cooler and got in the car. Everything packed and ready he started up the Jeep. "Lacey, I'm too worried about what might be following us, watch our backs." Rhell ordered, his voice was practically void of emotion.
Mel walked over to the truck with his head down and not even looking at the others. He just stared bleakly at the ground and got into the car.
When everyone was in Rhell began driving. The car drove several hours undisturbed by any other vehicles on the road. Rhell kept his eyes on the road, unmoving.

Lacey looked all around. She kept looking around as much as she could. She saw nothing of importance.
"Sorry, I can't find anything for now. I'll keep looking as much as I can Rhell." She sat in the front seat. Mara and Toran sat in the back.

Lana kept silent in the vehicle as they drove on the dirt road that was well worn with age. The silence was occasionally interrupted by someone else, but Lana didn't feel like conversing at the moment. She didn't know what might be following them, but she didn't like the sinister feeling it brought. It made Lana want to keep her mouth shut.
She looked up, initially to take a glance out the window, and happened to meet Lacey's eyes. She gave her a smile that seemed to say "good luck," then peeked out of the window. The outside terrain wasn't very luscious to look at; there were many dead trees and fading tufts of grass that were scattered across the surface.

Lacey could tell that Lana and Rhell were nervous. The day was certainly the same as any other day. She looked up ahead and noticed a jam caused by an accident. She saw Lana smile and smiled back. She felt a little worried that she couldn't tell why they felt so anxious.
"Rhell, there's an accident up ahead. I don't see any detours, it would be dangerous if Toran gets noticed by anybody."
Toran's head perked up.
"You don't have to worry about that." He focused on the auras that he knew before and began to change his image and voice to that of a 30 year old mentor he knew.
"They won't suspect me."
Mara sat in the back and noticed that her palms were becoming a silvery color. She reached into her pocket and pulled out some gloves and put them on. While she sat, she still kept a calm face.

Lana looked up to confirm with her own eyes that there was an accident ahead. She looked up to see two cars backed into each other with some damage. She couldn't see the whole thing; they still weren't right in front of it yet.
She looked back again and blinked, surprised to see a 30 year old man looking back at her. He wasn't there before. However, then she remembered that it was Toran and her composure became normal again.
"You sure the cops won't suspect anything...?" she asked, not specifically toward Toran. More like toward herself. "They won't search the car will they? I don't know if they'd find anything extremely suspicious, but they may question us..." she said with a hint of nervousness in her voice.

Rhell stopped the car and stepped out. He began walking over. He saw that one of the vehicles was of military property. He went over by the military car. He looked inside. One driver was in it, and was dying. Rhell looked in the other car and saw that the other driver was still alive, but unconscious. Rhell signaled for the others to help him and he shattered the driver's window glass to try and pull the person out. He was a teenager, and was dressed up in old patched clothing and had an automatic rifle slung over his back.

Suzume quickly hopped out of the car and went to help Rhell, she saw the automatic rifle and thought it posed no threat for now, but if the teenager tried to use it against them, she was sure she could easily take it, or at least melt it down, whichever "We need to get him to the hospital, or at least get him treated well enough so he won't die" Suzume said seriously, examining his pulse and examining any wounds

Lana hobbled over to the place where the two cars collided, seeing for herself that it was nearly fatal.
"Will they apprehend us though? I mean, if we help?" she asked before pushing the rifle a bit to the left so that it wasn't pointing at anyone.
"And I have no idea where anything is here, so unless we can find a hospital in time, he might not make it," she said, glancing to the side with a worried look on her face.
