I have found a new thing i hate about Touhou...
I hate certain drawings of the yukkuri's. There are a few that makes them hugable but then there are the ones (not original versions) that make them either Retarded and/or Creepy.
The GoodThe *shudder* freakyand my favorite...
with Tako Luka!Come now, the yukkuris just want to be your
friend. I wouldn't say that I hate them, ofcourse I wouldn't say I like them either. They play their part, like puchuus, being "cute" canon fodder for abuse and to make random cameo appearances in the background. However, I think they are
supposed to look like creepy retards. I can dig their message however, words to live by (
cool <-already taking it easy cause he is incredible lazy).
PS - Tako Luka picture is quite cute, dispite being disembodied heads, which usually has the opposite effect.
PPS - Any one read Yukkuri Balloons?

Alice, in my opinion, is not a tsundere at all...
-At the beginning of her interview with Aya in
Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red, she holds a small (argument?) with the tengu journalist regarding the fact that Aya ruined her straw effigie ritual, yet Alice doesn't treats Aya harshly; she even seems a bit shy or defensive about it.
- Her
Immaterial and Missing Power profile says: "She pretends that she has a strong attitude, but truthfully she is kind of a coward in her heart."
I do agree that on general Alice appears to simply be a type of introvert (She will let you stay at her house if you are lost, but she won't talk to you and will spend the whole time working on her dolls). However there are times where Alice seems to present tsun characteristics. Along with dialog in IN, two of your examples can aslo be seen to suggest a tsundere character trait.
In the Bohemian, Archive article, while Alice does act nice, Aya does note "Though she said it was only for research, she returned to her performance with such vigour and such a terrifying expression that I decided not to bother her any further and ended my questioning" (This mind you, while performing a ritual used to curse another by driving nails into a doll representing them). Also in the interview when Aya asks who exactly the dolls were representing, Alice avoids answering while seeming to threaten Aya with a hammer and nail.
"She pretends that she has a strong attitude, but truthfully she is kind of a coward in her heart." Would not this description also fit with a tsundere character, placing a strong front (A possible tsun character trait) while hiding a more vulnerable inner personality (or a possible dere trait).
In either case my objective is not to actually say that Alice
is tsundere, but merely say that it falls into realms of reason of how and why a person may see Alice as such.

That, she is.
But that's not ALL she is.
She's also THE STRONGEST!
(all joking aside, she IS probably the strongest fairy... so even if she's a total fool, she has some reason to be proud of her own strength...)
That she is, so strong she is delaying the next numbered game with her own spin off.
Haha, I guess there is no real reason for me to argue the counter point to someone who just want to place more focus on traits a character has outside their most popular ones, but the argumetn seem one sided so i thought I would play the villian.

Dammit, the topic was dropped and I had like a couple of hundreds of words to say on the subject of religion and Touhou.
OH WELL.
xd Wait, so the conversation shifted from comparing a sacred figure in a person's religion to a fictional character who had simular exploits as causing a discomfort for that person, to comparing the whole religion to a propaganda organization and claiming one of their holidays to held on false grounds? Some how that seems wrong...
Okay, I will go over ex-rumia in my next post since this one already seems a bit long. Got to stay with the conversation.
