"I've already eaten," Ruby called back. She jumped off the table again and walked to the window. She glanced outside, her mind wandering as she looked up at the nightsky, and saw the signs of damage in every direction.

Besides, Alloran's opinion isn't the one Bobby is worried about))

((I don't remember that line from the movie, heh...))
Ruby didn't glance back, keeping her gaze out the window. "They're brighter, with most of the city lights down, but I aint' sure if I'd call 'em lovely." She let out a soft shuddered breath. "They seem more, sinister, like the world itself has turned against us, or soemthin."

Ruby closed her eyes and leaned her forehead against the cold window glass. "Bobby don't, please."

Ruby shook her head, "I made Slate make a promise, before I let him join me fer a while. I told him, no matter what, he was not to save me. I don't want someone watchin' my back, not when they should be watchin the enemy instead." Ruby stepped back from the window, "I ain't a team player Bobby, I've always been a wildflower."

"You-you'd rather die than have someone care enough to save you? Ruby, you're worth more than that, and I'm not the only one that thinks so."

"Who works here?" Hells yelled over any din in the Tavern as he sat down in a stool. He didn't pay the other patrons a second glance as he called out again. "Who the ******** works here?"

Ruby turned to both Blitz and Streak, "You don't understand, I'd rather die than have some gussed up hero try to save me, instead of himself, or the folks that need help. I don't wanna be saved anymore, damnit, I want to save myself."
Ruby pushed passed them and walked up to Hells, an angry look in her eyes, as she was about to take out her anger on the stranger. She hooked her foot in his stool, yanked it hard, to pull it out from underneath him. "The folks that worked here are baked in that pot pie, an' if you don't learn to keep your manners, you're gonna go straight into our dessert."
