Haku would lick her back and wlaked along side her. The water was freezing, but the scent of her pregenecy was getting stronger. They needed a den as soon as possible. Life would get even harder soon, but he was ready. Ready to be a new father, ready to face the day. Smirking at Lera, he would lick her forehead once he got across like ice cold river. "Look at our pack lera, we're growing by the day. You're a wonderful alpha."

Licking her again, he would nuzzle the fur on her neck. He was so excited for the puppies! This would be great. Now the journey was almost done, and they were almost to their new home.

Again, Lera accepted both the acknowledgement and affection with open arms. She too, was estatic about the new arrivals that had not yet arrived. She could feel life beginning to move inside her, very little as of right now, but it was noticable enough.

She crossed the river along side with Haku, "we are home," she said. The air was fresh and not a sniff of a human could be smelt. the presense of much prey could be heard and smelt as well. Birds chirpped and there was untainted fresh snow lyring about the ground. Lera smiled eagarly and craned her neck back to howl one again in rejoyce. Their toili had paid off and the goods were yet to come. This was their land now, they were bound to it.

He raised his head to howl as well. Home.. it was such a good word. Smirking, he would continue to howl. They were a pack, and they had their own territory to rule and roam. It was so beautiful.. Raising his head once again, he would howl a third time. This was just so great! Smirking at the alpha female, his beloved mate, he would lick at her again. The pups were coming soon, and his family. This was all so exciting!

Sniffing the ground, he would try to hunt out a good den ground for them all to live in. It had to be big and all that.

The journey had tired out Gizmo more than he would ever have guessed possible, for him it had been a physical and mental journey that would surely help shape who he was to become.

He had been lying curled up beside a spray of shrubbery when Lera and Haku had begun to howl, and he drew his ears forward wondering what all the excitement was about.

Had they finally reached their destination, was that it? He hoped so, his legs ached and he just wanted to curl up and sleep for days on end. The grumble of emptiness in his stomach also reminded him of his hunger, and whilst everyone else was busy he slipped away to find something to eat. He doubted a little runt pup would be noticed missing through all the excitement.

His need for food far outweighed his need for sleep.

Weather or not the adult wolves, attentive to Lera's pregnancy, notice Gizmo slipping away is one matter, but Lexi, for whatever the pups perseptions of her, has no intent at all failing at her asigned task to 'watch the pups'.
"I wouldn't wander off if I were you." She warns, padding past and calling to him from behind. "Just because there's no scent of two legs doesn't mean it's not dangerous out there. If you need something, tell one of US. It's our job to keep you safe. We're Pack." She says the last two words with the gravity reserved for something universialy true and right, with the strength of a promise that doesn't need to be said. "No matter what you think of me." She adds softly, watching him with her strange blue eyes.

Gizmo dipped his muzzle in shame, the thought of asking others about food hadn't even crossed his mind, and he still had not apologised to the female for his horrible actions.

Wagging his tail slightly he took a step towards her and rubbed his head against one of her forelegs I sorry Lexi He mumbled, not sure what else to say, she had after all, only tried to do what was best.

Lera told Gizmo things, I not understand crow bad...I sorry. He gave a small yip, and looked about him, taking in the new scents of this place. Any furries hop nearby? He questioned, referring to the rabbits he had wanted to search for, and hinting at his own hunger.

Lexi looks slightly surprised at the apology...no one's really ever apologized to her before, and it shows in her face as she pads over and gives Gizmo a soft poke with her nose. "Forget about the crow for now..." She says, trying to be encouraging. "Um...furries...Mice, Rabbits...yes I'm sure." She wags. "I used to catch mice when I was small." She notes, by way of trying to be freindly...not sure if it's what to do or not. "There's not much to them but it's something." She sniffs the air, perking her ears and padding ahead, looking to turn up the tiny trail of a mouse or the hiding place of an rabbit. "Ever watched a fox hunt mice?" She asks, thinking of something she's sure will make the pup's mood improve. It's been a long hard trip on everyone, the pups and Lera especially.

Suuru roused himself upon his tree branch by stretching his wings out and flapping off the accumulated morning new from his black feathers. He truned his head and preened out the more troublesome of feathers along his wing ridge and turned back to the wolves below. His golden eyes fell once again on the little one he had taken to, he seemed to be doing fairly well though he still seemed a bit jumpy. The crow felt a bit stiff from all the flying and sneaking about in the treetops. It was a bit troublesome but at least now he knew where to find this pack and the kind pup- if they hadn't corrupted him against crows completely yet. It really is a pity..., the sighed, Such a kind pup doesn't belong in a pack like this. They will ruin him in time and he may very well be like all the rest. The crow ruffled his feathers as a chill shot down his back. The thought of having to call the kind one an enemy was not an idea he was all that fond of. If only he could speak and understand... that one she-wolf could hear and speak with him but he doubted she'd listen to him or translate what he said properly. Though... it might be worth a shot to at least try. Ease some tension between packs.

He looked down to the little pup again and gave a "good morning" caw, bobbing his head up and down in the process. He knew that scarred she-wolf would probibly bark and growl all sorts of nastes towards him but he'd only laugh at her attempts. In his mind he had just as much of a right to be there as any of them.

Haku saw the bird land near his lands. This was it, he was tired of that stupid thing stalking them. Snapping at the bird he would slash at it with his claws. "You damned bird, stay away form my lands!" Snarling deeply, he would raise his hackled. The 'brute' as some called him, would continue to growl.

That mindless little rat with wings needed to go back to his insane pack leader. Their pack was much better off than Fea's and he wanted to keep it that way. "I should just eat you, but I don't eat junk food." Continuing to snap at it, he would grow deeply. Did the bird not understand that not even the pups wanted it there?

He was tired from the long journey, at this stupid bird needed to leave them alone. How were they supposed to start over and do better with a spy stalking them? His claws flexed as he swung his claws at the bird.

(With Kou's permission to make life interesting all around)
Haku, Lexi and Gizmo aren't the only things out hunting today. A hunter with only two legs is also in the forest, although at the moment it's not wolves he's interested in. Bear, ermine, beaver...fur bearing animals for trade are what he has in mind, although to many animals a human with weapons is...exactly that. He doesn't simply carry a gun, although there's one with him, but at the moment he seems to be using a bow. An compound bow made of black horn and wood, the powerful kind once used in war that could put an arrow through plate mail. It's as dangerous as a gun, and far quieter, and unless he catches sight of a bear, it's what he's intends to use for protection and hunting while he checks the ermine traps.
He's not a hugely tall man, slightly under six foot, with black hair and a light brown eye. The other is milky blue and blind, and he's dressed warmly against the snow with an heavy coat and gloves. Not as silent as a wolf, he never the less moves quietly through the woods, keeping his eyes open.

Lexi:
Lexi looks back to the sound of Haku snarling, and raises her own hackles at the sight of an all to familiar bird in the trees. Haku seems to have things covered with the flying pest, however, and it seems best not to upset Gizmo further by bringing up the maniuplative bird.

Suuru was no fool and had perched high atop a pine tree- as high as the branches would hold up that was. He simply watched the male's attempts with a smug and almost teasing smile. Did the wolf not realize that there was no gettign at him? Did he think he was scary jumping around and snapping like he was? It was very comical in the bird's mind, though he didn't understand the words that the brute was saying the meaning was clear enough. Go away go away!, he cawed back with a laugh- knowing the wolf couldn't understand it but it made it all the more fun, Watch me jump, watch me growl, hear me snarl, hear me howl! Suuru laughed again at his little song, a loud cawing sound that was full of his teasing laughter. He was so tired of being barked and growled at he might as well make some fun from it. It is a crime to watch for one you care for yes? A crime indeed a crime indeed.

He would kill that bird, no matter what he had to do to get to it. That's when a smirk grew on his face, "I warned you, birdy." Moving over to a tree, he would grab a rock that was laying aimlessly on th ground in his mouth. It was rather heavy, and he strained his neck slightly. The rock was just a bigger than his mouth. With a growl, he looked to thr ground, moving closer to the tree where the bird was.

"You'll regret stalking us," He muttered, but the rock slightly muffled what he was saying. Using all of his strength he would twist hishead and release the rock so it flew into the air, to give the bird a fatal blow. Ploping to is butt, he would wonder if he had broken his neck. x.x;

Lexi's ears perk in astonishment as the rock sails upward...she's never seen THAT trick before...she'll have to remember that....

A fox hunt mice? Gizmo asked, tilting his head curiosly, he had not seen such a thing, then again he hadn't seen any foxes long enough to notice their habits.

He bristled slightly as Haku snapped at the crow who had seemed to mean no harm, for now he would listen to the wolves and trust their judgement...but he couldn't help wonder who the one in the wrong really was.

He turned his head away, trying his best to ignore the goings on, best not to see it and try to move on with the conversation started by Lexi.
