Kiho ignored him as her brother came into view. She pulled the boy up to her brother and said, "Itami-sama wants us to keep this, jerk, secured and keep him from running away."
Hiro turned his crimson eyes on the boy and pulled out his garrote, using it to tie the boy's hand's behind his back, tightly, but barely loose enough that it wouldn't cut off circulation.

Lance opened his mouth to object as his sister was taken from him, and then closed it again. Itami was right. He didn't know anything about healing. If anyone could help Lacey, it was Itami.
He set to searching the cops.
Lacey stirred slightly as Itami lifted her. Almost inaudibly, she mumbled her brother's name, and then was silent again.

Anila stood next to the body, and heard a sudden shriek. In seconds, everyone seemed to have scattered. Everything was going way too fast for Anila to comprehend. But she knew one thing. Lacey was hurt, and Lance was obviously getting pissed.
Taking a deep breath, she wiped her pale forehead, as her pink hair rested on it. Making a confused look, she didn't know how to feel, or what to do, for her so-called, 'Family'. 'Should I help them? Or not?' Anila wasn't sure, but ran, and appeared by Lance, doing a light smile. She stayed by his side, and jokingly asked, "Need some help?" Right now, she was in the mood for pounding, and blood. Gushed. Out. Blood.

Lance stared down at the corpse he was currently all but ripping apart in his search for something that might save his sister. "Yeah," he said tersely. "A goddamned miracle would be nice. Got one handy?"
A little voice in the back of his head - that sounded oddly like Lacey's - reproached him. Be nice. She wants to help.
"I'm looking for something. Anything they've got that could help Lacey," he explained himself, still terse as he searched another body. "If you happen to see anything, could you get it to Itami?"

Anila took a deep breath, with an added small smile. She could tell that he was tense, and just out-of-the-sorts with his sister really injured. Softly, trying to comfort her 'brother' she said, "Its fine. She is gonna be okay. I've had problems like this before.." She stopped, remembering them. Lying, she said, "She is gonna be fine."
Before trying not to tell some life story, or do a lesson like on those baby television shows, Anila stood quietly, looking around, and heard footsteps behind her. Without even looking, she took a knife out of her pocket, and threw the knife, killing him instantly.
She went to the body, and noticed that the man had some antidote, and a capsule that was locked. It questioned her why it was like this, but she said, "Uhh..I think I found something."

Lance looked up. "No, she's not," he said dully. "I know. I saw her."
When Anila announced that she'd found something, he froze for a brief second before leaping up and going to see. He looked the body over, and looked at both the antidote and the capsule. Slowly, the hope faded out of his eyes. "No," he said blankly. "I mean, it should go to Itami anyway, but..." He closed his eyes. "He shot her, Anila. With those spreading bullets. I couldn't get to him in time to save her."

Anila rolled her eyes, and walked over to him, having the antidote and capsule in her hands. Placing them beside her, she crouched down and took a deep breath. She slowly lifted her shirt, only showing her lower stomach. On the stomach was a big bruise, almost as if she was in a fire. There were dots between there, that looked like gun shots. She completely stared at him, and said, "I told you. It has happened to me before. But...I had nobody to help me or anything.." She paused and said, "You wanna know what happened?" She hoped that a little lie about her damaged stomach would at least put some of his hopes up.

"Tell me what you want," said Lance, looking defeated. "I'm going to keep looking while you tell me, if that's all right." It would have to be all right. Every moment he wasted listening or talking instead of lookin was another minute off Lacey's life. He was sure Anila's story was very complex and interesting, but if he got too caught up in it and stopped looking, Lacey might die.

Anila's eye twitched in anger, seeing how Lance couldn't be alittle loose in this situation. Taking a deep breath, she said, "Surpisingly..The same thing happened to me, like what happened to your sister. Except..I wasn't holding protection stuff..Then men were just chasing me for no apparent reason.." She watched as he stood up, and looked around once again. Her eyes rolled in a circular formation, and she continued, "But hey..I'm alive aren't I?!" Anila hoped to get at least a laugh out of him.
If she told him the real reason how she got burnt and hit so badly..He would have not believed her, and she would have been SOO embarassed.

Lance couldn't laugh, but managed to give her a weak grin. He knew she was trying to make him feel better about Lacey's situation. He also knew, with what slight powers of observation he had gained over his years with this crew, that Anila was lying.
He didn't call her on it, though. Why bother? It wouldn't help Lacey. And she was what mattered. The only thing that mattered.

Anila took a deep breath, as she rolled her eyes once more. She could tell by his reaction, that he really didn't care. She knew that Lance was too smart for it, but at least she tried. Quietly, she sat, trying to open the capsule. She took out a knife, and began to jab it into the capsule, hoping it would make a mark, or at least pry it open.

Lance continued his searching, hoping against hope for something. Anything.
And keeping one ear cocked for Lacey to call him, despite the impossibility of that hope.

Anila laughed, trying to break the silence. She let go of her knife, which fell on the ground, only centimeters away from her leg. She looked at Lance, and said, "Then do you want to know what actually happened?" She hoped to generate some conversation, getting the Lacey event out of his head, but she knew that would never happen.
