She looked away. She trusted him, but she was worried. I guess we'll have to fight a war after all.....I just never thought I'd be part of it. She looked back at him and smiled. I'll try to be brave, if it will help everyone...

She looked away. No....if you're apart of this, then I'm apart of this. I won't have others sacrifice themselves while I sit in the sidelines. She smiled to herself, but still kept her eyes away. I won't be your weakness...I'm going to protect you.

Sophitia pulled her hand away, tears in her eyes. "It's not settled! You can't control me! I'm not fighting you on this!" She stormed off to his bedroom, closing the door hard behind her. He wasn't being fair. Everyone's life was just as important, if not more important, than her own. She hopped on the bed and cried in the pillow.

Vandal opened the door, and collapsed on the bed, and sat up. "Im so sorry, I just don't want you to get hurt. Id rather have you live and me die." Tears were in his eyes now.

She turned to him. She hadn't realized her words hurt him. "Don't be sorry. It's my fault. I just...." She blushed, taking in his words. "I don't want you to die....there would be no reason for me to be alive." She couldn't believe what she was saying. She used to laugh at the thought of being with another person, but she felt sad when she thought of Vandal being away from her. She sighed. "I'm sorry. I'm making a specticle of myself. I guess our friends must be confused." Still, she did not move from the bed. She brought her hand up to his face and wiped a tear from his eye. "Don't cry....please?"

"It will be hard to be away from you. But I need to be in order for us to be free, and not to worry about you being caught being here. There would be reason for you to live, it would make me happy. I can't just stop crying, I havent cryed in 200 years, It is hard to even admit I am." He put his hand on her back and pulled her into him, hugging Sophitia.

She wrapped her arms around him slowly. "It must have been......really lonely.....I couldn't imagine living for that long." She sighed. Her problems were so small compared to the pain Vandal must have suffered. She whispered softly. "There has to be something I can do. Anything. I can get ghosts to spy, just like Brodix said." She held him tighter. "Please. I need to do something for you...."

He shook his head. "No, there isn't. Just stay here, okay? I will call Karin if I am in danger to tell you, okay? I just do not want anything to happen to you. Okay? I could not live with that." He rested his head on top of hers.

"Ok....I promise." It hurt her to say those words, but she was tired of making him upset. "But, you have to promise to be ok.....please?" She squeezed him as tight as she could. "Please, please be ok for me?"

As much as she didn't want to, she pulled away. "You should get back out there. I'm sure the other two are waiting." She gave a weak smile. "I think I'll stay in here and get some rest. I'm pretty beat from today. Is that ok?"

He nodded and got up, waved and tried to smile. Vandle left and closed the door behind him, thinking it may be the last time he see's her.

Sophitia hated to see him leave. She whispered Karin's name, and in came the ghost girl. "Jeez, what's your problem? You stormed off like a three year old."
She took in a breath, ignoring Karin's comment. "I need you to do something really important for me." She signaled for the girl to come closer. She whispered something in her ear.
"You are a sneaky girl!" The ghost girl giggled. "But, that's kida romantic, in a weird way." Sophitia rolled her eyes and the ghost girl held her transparent hands up. "Ok, ok, I'll do what you say..."
