I suck at backgrounds @.@ anyone knows how to pixel rain?
My entry for the rainbow contest at Sakura no Hime.
Everyone always pixels cheerful things if they're inspired by rainbows.. So, of course, I don't ^^ I tried to show more of the rainy part.

awww its pretty! and id try making light diagonal lines (or straight down.. whichever) to show the rain..

oh, its not really pixel but create a new layer over your artpiece, go to render>clouds, then noise> add noise (14.9), then blur> motion blur, right click on the the layer you just made and blending options>screen, for better results adjust the opacity of that layer to 50%, it should come out looking like this:
if you want to animate it, repeat the steps 3-4 times, switch over to an animation program and create a new frame for each layer, click on frame one , disable all the other layers except for the first one, do the same thing to the rest of the frames then set the timeing to 0.2 it should come out like this:
for some reason the animation wasen't that good, try playing around with the adjustments for it.
the pixel background is from pinkland I was just using it as an example.
but if you really want it to be completely pixel by hand, create a new layer over your image, and draw diagonal lines over it using the pencil tool with white, then adjust the opacity to your desired percentage, make sure you can still see the background over the rain though and that should work too.
and the last way is only good if you do an "cartoonish" style of pixelling,
draw a small rain drop like this:
, open a new page and drag the raindrop there, it should duplicate it, then drag it back to the window, it should appear as a new layer, continue doing that until most spots are filled evenly, ctrl+e will flatten the layers, flatten all the layers of rain into one, make sure it is still seperate from the background and again adjust the opacity to your desired percent.

no, pixel ^^ I have trouble tool shading correctly and it requires too much time, plus I prefer pixel-shading more.
if you are talking about the pea pod, I blurred it to make the colours blend better xD

I guess its the shading that makes it look like that, it wasen't meant to be though, but its ok
