The communication lines maybe not, but the primitive firearms probably would be.

I don't see anything wrong with it honestly. There are towns that are isolated and there are also large cities. I don't think the middle ages or whenever had floating cities like Skyrim, did it? ^_^;

I never said there was anything wrong with the city, lol. I think it's a fairly good idea.
They didn't have magic, griffons, dragons, demons, etc. either, lol.

I would say go for it, but if the firearms are in use, try to limit it. Not that there aren't characters with that and more advanced objects ( sweatdrop ), but it shouldn't be a regular thing, this place is too fast advancing as it is D:

Well you're sorta confusing me, to use or not to use, good idea or bad idea, I want a solid opinion if it's a bad idea, than wipe the idea and I'll try again, but primitive firearms I figured should be okay, and the comm tubes will have plenty of use, trust me

As long as the most modern weaponry there is normal guns, then it should be okay. I think lazer guns are out of the question ^_^;

Lol, when did I start talking about lazer guns? We'll be using semi-automatic rifles, closer to repeating carbines of the old west rather than modern weaponry, and there will be handheld guns, similar to two-shot derringers, and an early model of an electric-baton based on arcane energies as power emissions (shocks)

Um...I'm not sure what most of those weapons are, but as long as there's nothing futuristic then I'd say you're good to go. Magic guns are okay too. You know, ones that shoot magic and such.
