"'Doubt,' huh?" Meshik said, "It's a person's 'doubt' that matters the most. As long as you have the ability to doubt others, then that's all that really matters. Doubt is the darkest shadow in the mind; accompanied only by depression. Even loved ones doubt each other," He said. After letting out a small scream a bolt of magic erupted from the ground far away from them and fried about fifty of Zen's soldiers. His runes started glowing brighter, "So this is the power of Soulfreaks huh...?" He said under his breath like nothing happened. He needed to be careful or this power will get to his head.

Meshik shrugged, "I have known this ability all of my life. I don't think you can tell me anything different about rune magic. It's just I'm taking in souls right now. I think I'm going to have to go back into the fight again," He said like it made no difference to him.

Kya nodded. "I doubt I could educate you much further,seeing as your knowledge is great. Rune magic is something no person can control entirely." She sighed. "Ah well. Maybe a different subject, my secretive friend."

'Aim, and....FIRE!' The warlord yelled, followed by the gunshots of several sniper rifles, which, in turn, was followed by the front two rows of men falling neatly onto the ground. Ebenezer took out the stone again. 'Omega team, GO!' He barked into it. Several heavily-armored men fell from the sky above the center of Zen's forces, and began shelling out ammuntion. A few of them landed on top of enemy airships, and began pulling out their pilots to take their places. Ebenezer smiled, as the men next to him sent out another round, felling another row. The forces he had so carefully prepared for this moment were now in it, and the tide was now quickly and easily turning in their favor.

Meshik was observing everything that was going on without actually being there. He saw the interior of each individual airship be taken over or destroyed, each soldier slaughtering and killing, and both sides in general very detailed.
"I'm not secretive. I thought I was being very honest and open," Meshik muttered before he sent himself back into the fight again. The souls of all the soldiers he killed, they needed to be gotten rid of.
A sharp scream escaped his throat again as he launched attack after attack against Zen's people.

The airship crews began watching their other fellow airships being taken over by the other team. They began loading up another attack. Just as they got ready, they fired immediately another mana blast at Meshik. Hopefully nailing him this time for good.
The rest of the war however seemed to be evening out now with Ebenezer's men taking out quite the number of soldiers. But still, Zen had the advantage with more airships, even if Deralo did steal some of their airships, they were still outnumbered.

Meshik grit his teeth. This is not going to bode well.
The illusion of Kir formed over his body again and reflected the attacks, sending them right back towards where they came from.
But that wasted him completely. The magic around him faded away and he fell into a pool of blood half conscious.
"...O-Ow..." He moaned. He tried to move, or do anything, but nothing happened. His wings vanished and he vomited blood.

Kya rushed over, patting his back to try and comfort him. "Are you alright?" She asked, worried.

Meshik smiled from within the blood, "I'm fine," He said as casually as he usually does. His arms moved and he lifted himself up to his feet after a few minutes.
It was obvious that he was physically destroyed. Some scraping and tapping sounds came from his body from where his bones were broken. He suddenly fell back, where some soldiers caught him. He didn't know which side these men were on. He couldn't trace them back because he was so exhausted. And he couldn't tell from their bloodied uniforms if they were working with Zen or with Deralo.
"Thank you young men..." Meshik said weakly.

Kya nodded to the men. "Sorry Meshik. I have to examine you fro wounds." She pulled his shirt off trying to examine him for wounds. After what she saw, she wondered if he was split wide open with wounds.

"...Ah...! Don't...!" Meshik grabbed his shirt before she could remove it and tried to force it down over himself again, "I'm okay, Kya...Please...!" He pleaded for perhaps the first time since he had been traveling with her. He didn't want to expose his chest to her like that.

The men nodded to each other, clearly seeing he couldn't recognize they were not of the same team. "Its our duty. Now you're badly injured. It would be best to be brought to safety." One of the men said with a serious tone. An airship landed a few feet from them ready to pick them up. "Are you well enough to board the airship or shall we escort you onboard?"
