Kiana walked around the village, searching for her gold purse. Where is it? I know I had it when I... as she turned the corner, she noticed Gill sitting against one of the nearby buildings. With a warm smile, she walked up and sat next to him. "Hey Gill, how are yo...." Her smile vanished as she saw that he was shaking like a leaf and was swaeting badly. "Are you ok? Did you get sick on the way here?" Her voice was filled with the same concern as a mother worried about her child would have.

Enzeru slowly made her way to the Inn, her body trembling with pain. She gripped her arms with enough force to brake them to keep from hitting anything she pasted. When she finally made it to the Inn, she quickly gave the woman at the front her info and turned without a word to go to her room as soon as she was given her key before the woman had a chance to say anything. Flinging the door closed with a loud slam that probably shook the whole building, she went straight to the bed and broke down crying. She was paying so little attention to what was around her to even realize that she wasn't the only one in the room.

Suddenly a bag and necklace dropped to the floor. "I think your friend dropped these." A rather familiar voice spoke from behind.

It was Quin, already in her room and waiting for her. "I finally remember what happened. I suppose you confronted someone from the past? Tell me, it will make you feel better." He sat down on a nearby chair, waiting to either be dismissed from her room, or to have her start talking.

Katara listened as she ate. Her hunger craved more then she was given, but she didn't mind. She was finally talking about marriage with Derak. she thought over his words. It clicked when he said 'family', but she would ignore it and keep talking. "Family. I've always wanted to live away from the village. Near the waterfall? There. Then, I wouldn't have to deal with the people who don't understand my love for fire. Those hypocrites." She sighed. "Where my husband could plant the food, and our children had the world to care for and protect. It was so peaceful there. I would never let my family harm the land. We would only borrow enough land to feed the family and sell for money. Sooner or later, the land would be returned to the earth and all her glory." She said softly.

Darek thought to himself. 'She is so passionate about this.' He looked at her intently. "Yes, near the waterfall would be nice. Two kids, maybe three, a stable garden, not to much land, water from the river- Ahh but, is such peace possible?" Darek began to eat his food. The waitress came back in to check on them. She smiled sweetly and gave Katara a note to her without Darek seeing. She gave her a quick wink and left. The note said 'If you are smart you wont let him get away from you. Just see the way he looks at you.' Darek looked up as the woman walked away. He looked to Katara for a moment and smiled. "We won't have peace like this for awhile. We will have it hard, getting the future we wish for. We will need to get back to the inn and reorganize." Unknown to Darek, his dragoon orb was glowing because of a nearby orb that they did not know of.

Gill looked away from the people he recognized, Katara and Derke, to look at KianaHis eyes grew bigger and his mouth smaller, a look of innocence "Why yes mom, I had a terrible dream and then I throwded up a bit!" he said with a straight face, nodding, but then his face broke into a smile and he laughed a little to show her that he was joking.

Kianas warm smile grew even bigger. "I see...it sounds like the dream disturbed you to the point of being sick. I should be able to make you something when we get to the Inn to help with that. Oh...I almost forgot...I got you something while I was shopping." She reached into her pocket to get the necklace, but as she felt around for it, she realized that it wasn't there. "Oh no! It must have fallen while I was walking."

Enzeru was startled by the voice, not knowing that anyone was with her. Choking back the rest of her tears and wiping the ones from her face, she turned to see that it was Quin. "I'm not the same girl that I used to be. I have lived a life of near silence since that day. Talking about it only seemed to make things worse."

"Whatever you say, but from what I see, not talking about it hasn't helped either." Quin sat next to her on the bed, without making any apparent sound while doing so. "What happened that day? As far as I knew or was told in that orphanage, was that your whole family including you where killed by some stranger. They never released a name nor that there was any survivors."
Quin had sat down on the bed facing the door, back to the wall. It was a habit when you had to be on the watch constantly. "I also have a question about this," he pulled out a yellow (or is it purple?) stone. "I noticed your 'friend' also had one of these, and figured you might know what it is. I... found it near a person with many other similar stones. He must have.. dropped it when he was walking by. Been keeping it for him if he returns."
As he showed the stone, it have a quick flash, a soft glow almost.

As Katara read the note, she crumpled it up, saying excitedly, "Two or three. Maybe four. The Inn is so... boring. After dinner we should go for a walk. Or something. But the Inn? Really? You were doing so good too." She said, smiling taking another drink of wine.

She shook her head in disapointment. Obviously, no one here even knew whet truely happened. "Well, let's see. To start, I wasn't killed by a stranger, but by one of the villagers that was a friend of my families. None of us knew what he was planning, we all thought it was just him coming over for a visit." Enzeru closed her eyes, holding back the a new wave of tears. "But we were wrong. I heard him tell my dad that he wanted something, but I couldn't tell what it was. After a while they started yelling at each other. I didn't know what was going on, and I never got involved in my parents' problems, so I just stayed outside playing. The next thing I know, I hear my mother scream and the sound of something hitting the floor. I ran inside to see what had happened, and that's when he...." For a while, she couldn't bring herself to remeber what happened. She didn't want to, but she knew she had to. "...he killed my mother in front of me. I knew I should have ran out of that house, but I couldn't move. I couldn't even bring myself to scream. He was about to leave until he noticed me, a witness to his crime, so he took the dagger that he used on my parents and started coming at me. By that time, I was finally able to move, but it was too late by then. No sooner had I turned around, he plunged the dagger into my back." She paused for a moment as the scar on her pack started to throb with pain from the memory. After taking a few deep breaths to calm the pain, she continued. "He left afterwards without bothering to clean up the scene or even remove his dagger from my back. He didn't even realize that I was still alive. I was in so much pain that I couldn't move or make a sound, which made getting help impossible. For three days I layed on the floor bleeding and dying slowly. By that time I was just waiting for the sweet embrace of death to come and take me, but a ray of light shone on that dark moment. An old man, a stranger at the time, came knocking on the door. In any other circumstane I would have found it rude that he entered without permission, but at the time I was glad that someone finally found me. He went to both my parents, checking for any sign of life, but found that they were already dead. After he checked them, he came over to me, and his smile told me that he was happy to see that I was still alive. He took the dagger out of my back and somehow healed my injury, then he took me out of the village and to the kingdom without telling anyone what happened. I always wondered why he didn't tell the athorities, but I figured that it was for my own protection. From that day on, he was the only person I trusted." As she finished the story, she closed her eyes, happy that it was finally over. She had been looking out her window the whole time that she was talking and now turned to look at Quin again. Her eyes widened when she saw the stone that he had asked about. "That stone, it's a...." rage filled her body again. "THAT'S A DRAGON SPIRIT ORB!!!" Her voice was filled with a fury that even scared her. She took a deep breatha nd gave herself a second to calm down then spoke again. "You didn't 'find' that orb did you? You stole it from the Old Dragoon." She took another look at the stone, noticing this time that it was gowing. "But it looks as if that isn't going to be too much of a problem. It's chosen you as its owner, which means that you are the lightning dragoon. I just can't believe you stole it."

((Sorry about the length....I didn't realize that it was going to be this long.))

She let out a sigh of disapointment. I can't believe I lost it. Kiana turned back to Gill. "You're right." She put her hands down and pushed herself off the ground. "I think we should go on to the Inn, we don't have to stay, but we do still need to check in."

"I'm sorry. I never knew." He had a look of disappointment on his face. "I wish I had for I would have tried to help you out."

Her sudden explosion of anger surprised him. "Dragoon? What is that?" He conveniently didn't agree or disagree with him stealing the item, for there was no reason to deny it, nor should he announce it either.

"Thats a good idea..." He got up as well. "Um...no one told me where it was...do you know?" he asked with a sheepish grin.
