Ilisia looked up at Rayne's question. She whispered in Rayne's ear, "I'll whisper you the answer because Janie can't know. This lady, who is no lady, is capable of complete persuasion. She can also cultivate others' magic. This means that she can talk a feather of your power and use it against you. Because she comes in contact with every Half-Elf in her league before they are inducted into the cult, she has the power of every one of us. It's not as strong as the original magic because it's only a piece of the magic with the rest as fake as she is. You'd need every Half-Elf that was alive to turn against her before it would really truly be possible to succeed."
Zalexis grimaced at Ilisia whispering in Rayne's ear. He muttered under his breathe, "This won't end well. No matter what."

(Gosh, I am SO sorry, I totally forgot, lol. And I'm assuming that the war is over...?)
Jada ran in tiger form over to her friends to see a child and a man standing with them. She saw the child's slightly frightened expression and transformed into a human.
"What's going on?" She asked trying to hide her blood-stained hands behind her back, and telling Izlan to come back with her mind.

Rayne nodded at Ilisia's explanation and nearly fell over when Jada came back. "Where are you hiding all these people?! Is there a portal I don't know about?" She was being sarcastic to cover her surprise.

Ilisia sighed and walked over to Zalexis. "Since we may need a little while to plan, I suggest that you and I rest a while to try to regain some of our magical strength."
Zalexis looked sadly at Ilisia, "Illie... When I saved you..."
Ilisia grimaced painfully. "I know... But I have faith in you. You'll be able to find your magic again. I know it." And she sat down on the ground and closed her eyes as if to block out any and all painful thoughts.
Zalexis walked over to Janie and smiled. "Can you show me some of your magic?"
Janie whimpered but nodded. She held out her hands and blue magic, tinged with purple, danced in her hands. She noticed the scars on Ilisia's arms and placed her hands there. The scars instantly vanished but Ilisia froze. Janie let the magic go and grabbed Zalexis's hand. "That happens every time..." Janie was channeling the magic of both parents at the same time and was unable to control it.

Toraka nodded her head in approval 'Powerful she's perfect.' She sat down on the ground and crossed her legs and began to meditate searching through the forests lifeforse to help gain her power back.

Rayne toyed with her scythe. She poked and prodded the blade's surface, once getting too close to the sharpened edge. "OW!" She pulled her hand away, focusing on the thin slice on her finger, which was already bleeding profusely. "Aw... And I was doing so well! One cut for this fight..." She sounded disappointed, as she licked the blood away absently and went back to prodding her weapon.

Zalexis just stared at Ilisia sitting rigid on the ground. He turned sharply to Janie. "Have you ever been able to unfreeze them?"
Janie nodded but said quietly, "Only once... My dog, last year, when she was still a puppy. She tore her ear and I fixed it, but she froze and I panicked. I don't know how, but I unfroze her after I hugged her... I don't know how..."
Zalexis smiled. "I think I know how we can unfreeze your Aunt Illie. Come here." Zalexis pulled Janie over to Ilisia. "Take her hand, and I'll shape your magic to unfreeze her."
Janie looked afraid for a moment, but did as told. A few moments later, Ilisia's eyes flew open. "Zal, did you get your magic back?" she cried happily.
When Zalexis shook his head, she sighed. "No, it was Janie."

Ilisia's face fell and she sighed. Janie saw how sad Ilisia looked and walked over to hug her. Ilisia was faintly surprised for a moment but smiled and returned the hug. "Thanks for healing me Janie. I'm proud of how far you've come with your magic."
Zalexis watched the exchange and thought sadly, I see so much of you in her, Illie. It's so endearing to me. It makes me love that sweet child even though I've never met her before. I really want her to get hurt. Without realizing it, Zalexis had whispered the last sentence aloud and Ilisia had heard. She thought, You're right. I don't want her to get hurt either. She whispered, "If only there was an alternative right now..."

Rayne looked in the opposite direction of the family. She turned slightly green as she saw the mayhem she'd caused earlier was still piled up. She could smell the blood from the fight. She grimaced slightly and raised her scythe. With a sudden chopping motion, she broke a tree limb and sent it flying to cover the smell and markings from her fight. The crack of the broken limb sounded almost too loud. Rayne shook her head as the smell of blood was replaced with the smell of tree sap. "Sorry..."

(Sorry my internet was down everytime I tried to get on.)
Toraka smelled tree sap and opened her eyes. She had heard everything even though she was meditating. She heard Joirden noisily coming back though she was sure nobody had even seen him leave. "The area you wanted was clear," he whispered to her. She stood up and stretched leisurely(sp?) "Well let's get this party on the road then, we need to get away from this war zone and closer to that...um lady before the little one can help us."

Zalexis heard a vague whisper come from Joirden. "What do you all need? If we need to move out before she comes and finds us, we'd better start about now."
Ilisia sighed and stood up and hugged Janie tightly. "You'll make me proud, I know it. I believe in what you can do."
Janie had recoiled at the sound of the crack and the stench of tree sap. She was completely bewildered by what the adults around her were doing. She grabbed Zalexis's hand and whispered, "Don't let me go."

Rayne rubbed the back of her head as she turned back to face the group. "Eh, sorry 'bout that... The smell over there was making me feel sick... Like last time..." She pictured the ashen remains from her uncontrolled burst of power and shuddered. "Anyway, like Toraka said. We should be getting ready." She poked her scythe and narrowed her eyes for a second.

Ilisia checked her daggers to make sure that there wasn't any blood to slick them when she might throw them. There were a few dotted places on the blades, which she quickly cleaned off. She decided to sharpen them a little before going into battle again. "Just give me a minute!" she called as she pulled out her whetting stone and sat down and sharpened as quickly with accuracy as possible.
Zalexis held Janie's hand tightly and said to her, "You'll be okay. Your mo - Aunt Illie and I have great faith in you." He looked at Rayne and asked, "Do you have any spare weapons I might borrow. I'm skilled in general weaponry, though I'm probably a bit rusty because I haven't used anything other than magic for quite a long time."

Rayne smirked as she pulled a set of five inch long daggers out of her sleeve. "Just try not to stab your hand." She tossed them lightly, but they landed just in front of Zalexis and buried themselves into the ground by at least four inches of steel. The ends of the handles glowed a bright silver in the light before settling in the ground. "I made those myself. I want them back." Her smile went from kind and joking to slightly evil and creepy. Her eyes were cold as well.
